  • My 7 pound miniature dachshund had back surgery in Sept 2010, but since then has developed staph on the skin due to all the antibiotics and steroids the vet has given. The vet put her on more antibiotic pills and spray for the staph, but after it's gone it comes back. I know it's just masking the symptoms, meanwhile compromising her immune system & the good bacteria in in her stomach. I use oregano oil myself, but how much would I give her internally & how would I apply it topically?

  • Thanks for the tip... I use oil of oregano myself, but haven't on the dogs... My 2 year old Newfoundland had a gash by his tail about an inch long from who knows what, but it was bothering him, so I used the tried and true bee propolis in his food and Vitamin E softgels on the wound... It was not only healed in 3 days, but there was no trace of it... I have had the same results on my fingers using Cayenne, but didn't think he would like that...

  • It doesn't hurt the dogs at all, as long as you avoid sensitive areas such as eyes. I have also used it in conjunction with grapefruit seed extract to address a flu and on a second occasion a head cold. It did not cure the flu or head cold but greatly reduced the symptoms and no one around me caught my flu and / or head cold. I personally used 3 drops every hour along with 2 capsules of grapefruit seed extract every hour.

  • i use it on my dogs as well. I cured my own ear infection..

  • @Unityspirit50 Hi, My dog has an ear infection. How can I use Oil of Oregano on it? Please reply if you see this. thanks.
