  • There is no such thing as evolution... just list of creatures Chuck Norris decided could live.

  • It's funny how creationists point at Darwin's insecurity and struggle, and that some of them even make the false claim that he refuted his theories while lying in front of death. If Isaac Newton refuted his ideas, would that make us refute the gravitational theory? It doesn't change what the creators of the ideas say, when we actually have modern scientific evidence that support their theories.

  • Seriously I cannot believe the ignorance in the comments I have read. Why does science and religion have to be connected anyway. God, The Almighty created the world. The Bible was written in a time that was to be understood by the common man back in the day. Then we have science, doesn't the miracle of what he find out prove even more there is a god. A closed mind is a certain mind, I think anything is possible with god.

  • Oh... my..... god.... First of all, the book was called "The ORIGIN of species", and it was never intended to "support atheism", whatever that means. It's true that Darwin was conflicted, but that's no surprise. People up until Darwin rarely even questioned the existence of god, because they couldn't explain life without invoking a god. Darwin showed how life could be explained without god, and that was his greatest contribution to science and to mankind as a whole

  • Evolution is only controversial when Christians opine their ignorance.

  • Interesting point: THe Catholic church saw no problems with the Origin of Species. THeir biggest complaint was that Darwin said that conflict and the struggle for survival were integral to life; that life was hard.

100 years later there are still biblical literalists who lie, cheat, deceive and hamper progress in the name of their cheap versions of religion.

  • He waits until she dies before publishing it, oops did I ruin the ending for people? Damn, sorry.

Still, calling it "Creation" might even get a few fundies to watch it.

  • It's "On the ORIGIN of Species".

  • This was England in the 1800s. It's weird that the conflict between bronze-age superstion/creationism and science still exists some places. Like in America or The Middle East. I didn't know how many ignorant and superstitious people there still are in the world until I started looking at comments to YouTube-videos. It was pretty shocking to see what many hicks and towelheads still fantasize about and how ignorant they are. : )

  • keep in mind that the dude playing darwin is playing a fucking priest in a movie comming this year

  • @anteracmacash paul bettany is an actor who acts on roles he is given. Concepts of the movies are not his. His personality has no bearing on Darwin's life or what the movie stand for.

  • @dtuibeo I'm taking about what kind of actors the producers select

  • @jonm142 They can't coexist while there are those out there that would sell disinformation and propaganda to further push their bronze age beliefs and hinder the progress of mankind

  • @666nonbeliever (Proven part 3) Steven Weinberg, a Nobel laureate in Physics, said at the moment of this explosion, "the universe was about a hundred thousands million degrees Centigrade...and the universe was filled with light."10

The universe has not always existed. It had a start...what caused that? Scientists have no explanation for the sudden explosion of light and matter.

    By Marilyn Adamson.

  • @MiBurgerQueen

Science has bin trying to define what happened at the beginning and thier is no 100% proof positive answer yet. Do I take that as proof of god. Well No. Science is always in motion trying to explain things, finding the best answers using the scientific method. Religion sees these gaps and stuffs God into them. Besides how do we know that it is your god that did the big bang.

"I see no need for god in creation" Stephen Hawking.

  • @MiBurgerQueen

just becuse we dont know YET what started the universe does not mean god did it.

  • What I don't get is why everyone on here has to attack religion. Atheists and Religious people have their own beliefs, so why can't we just leave it at that? Why does either side have to constantly try to prove they are right and continuously insult the other and try to prove that they are better for whatever reason? We are all human. That should be enough, no matter where we come from. Why can't we all just be nice to each other? You either believe or you don't. Now move on.

  • @iampoolman

As @Zentz29 said, we didn't evolve from apes, we simply shared the same, extinct ancestor as the apes. Apes has no need to adjust and "evolve into humans" (and that won't happen) because they survive on their own. Humans are NOT some super species who is better than every species on the earth, that's the whole basis of the theory of evolution! And to evolve is to gradually adapt to changes in the environment over millions of years, not magically turning an ape into a human.

  • part 2

I can not disprove god and you can not prove his existence ether. the bible is so poorly written it is not proof , the Koran is the same way. Here is a better challenge try and prove god exists. You should watch the god who wasn't thier. A good read for you would be Jesus Christ in comparative mythology on wiki. You can also stick your fingers in your ears and believe in iron are fairytales, that's your chose to be stupid.

  • @666nonbeliever Does God exist? The universe had a start - what caused it?(part1)

Scientists are convinced that our universe began with one enormous explosion of energy and light, which we now call the Big Bang. This was the singular start to everything that exists: the beginning of the universe, the start of space, and even the initial start of time itself. Heres your proof (Continue 2 read part 2 )

  • @666nonbeliever(proof, part2) Astrophysicist Robert Jastrow, a self-described agnostic, stated, "The seed of everything that has happened in the Universe was planted in that first instant; every star, every planet and every living creature in the Universe came into being as a result of events that were set in motion in the moment of the cosmic explosion...The Universe flashed into being, and we cannot find out what caused that to happen.

  • Controversial ? Lol, evolution is a fact, get your story correct. Oh sorry i forgot they don't teach evolution in american schools, no wonder why the average iQ of a person born and raised in usa is lower than 80 as many reports show.

  • @newoldmail1

They do teach evolution in schools. Ppl major in it. Your opinion does not

cause me to want to convert. And Atheism isn't all that. Just look at history. Need

I say some names? Hitler, Stalin, Marque de Sade, marilyn Manson, Po Plot, Maui...need I continue?

  • EVERYONE SHOULD CARE UNLESS A TOTAL RETARDED AND USELESS ADDITION TO THE HUMAN SPECIES!

  • @cricketjam

    I don't care.

  • Hey, that's "Sarah"! SARAH FRIEND!!

  • Darwin famously was tormented by his studies and faith!

  • I am agnostic but the fact of evolution doesn't change anything about God and religious beliefs lol.

  • @28dayslater14 It kind of does. In Genesis God is said to have created all living things in one single day, though evolution is said to have taken millions of years to do. Just wanted to point that out.

  • @28dayslater14

    Evolution is a theory.

  • Love this film. Darwing was legend. Also had a funny moment when I started shouting at my computer BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH WASN'T IN THIS FILM - oh wait. Look! There he is! Oh yeah. So he was in that film ...

  • Of course there are people that care about Darwin "Even though he lived over one hundred years ago"

I mean honestly! That is called treating your audience as if there stupid.

  • Brilliant film, better than a bible story.

  • "He found himself deeply conflicted between the theory he was discovering." With all due respect, Darwin's grandfather had posited the theory before him, so he didn't come up with it, much less "discover" it.

  • @MorganMarvinson

Wow...that was when EVERYONE never heard of science...back in the hayday of Darwin's GRANDfather. Noone knew what science was.

  • @compsciguy "No one knew what science was"? You're kidding, right? Modern science stands on the shoulders of centuries of brilliant scientists. Leaguing evolutionary philosophy with science was a step back into magic.

  • "Darwin's Book "On the Evolution of Species"" - Oh for fuck's sake....

  • My fellow atheists, you are not alone. :)

  • thank you charles !!!! for killing god!! yessss!!!!

  • @JUKIO01 God can't be killed and all Darwins book did was challenge peoples faith.

  • @aragonnnnn dude, god can be killed. hes human right? so, its possible to kill him, if we knew where he is.

  • @JUKIO01

God is not human. I don't know where you got that absurd idea. Now Jesus? He WAS human, until the crucifixion. Then he was like a zombie. Not the typical zombie, he wasn't ugly and rottening. He looked normal.

  • what was that at the end "who cares he died 100 years ago!"?

    Ceaser?

    Christopher Columbus?

    Queen Elizebeth?

    Captain Cook?

    Nero?

  • I saw this movie yesterday and I'm back to the trailer because I love the movie, and Darwin :) 5 STARS!

  • Og No! Will this movie acquiesce to the ghastly notion put forth by Pope John Paul: that Darwinian Evolution is NOT a contradiction of biblical creation, but merely an explication of its details. That view is evil beyond belief.

Christianity usurped the solstice celebration known as Saturnalia (when the Sun returns to the Northern Hemisphere), and now seek to usurp the reality of Natural Selection. There is no God, no supernatural, just this WONDERFUL LIFE. Live it wisely before you die.

  • @RnBramwell

There is a God, there is supernatural, and he made this WONDERFUL LIFE. Live it wisely, before you go to Hell. You see how easy it is to turn your opinions against you?

  • @compsciguy The idea of God seeks to explain all of Existence by postulating a fantasy, and then attributing a LOT of other stuff to that fantasy. No Way! If God began by separating the light from the dark, why in Hell was there a God in the first place? What part of that "void", or Nothingness, suddenly organized its nothingness to make GOD? If *Nothing* can do that, then we better WORSHIP Nothing... 'cause Nothing is so GREAT that 'it' can make GOD!

    THINK, people.

  • @compsciguy HAHAHA, says the asshole who claims facts need to be prooved. Provide evidence for your god or shut your self righteous mouth, jag off. Trying STUDYING science rather than bashing it and making yourself appear even dumber than you already have. See the cool thing about Science is that its true whether ornot you "believe" it.

  • th1s moov!e you can see it online for free k @ MOOV ZON ,COM Google the above link

  • @Alodsable

No evolution is fact. It takes no faith to look at the evidence and except it. On the other hand it takes brainwashing, and faith to believe in a poorly written book of fairy tales called the bible .

  • @666nonbeliever lol are you serious if someone needs to be brainwashed then its not real in their life believing is a choice and one day we will all stand before God most high and bow before Him. but believing is a choice! As far as the Bible being fairytails please .... and evolution is as much science as pigs can fly .... to me comments like yours are made by people who are threatened and you can't be threatened unless deep down you know it's true ... good day to you

  • @aragonnnnn

well lets see now, what would you call a book with a talking snake, man eaten by a big fish and lives, I would call that a book of fairy tales. As for Evolution how come most religions including catholics and eastern orthodox told thier followers to except evolution as fact. I am not threatened by thoughts that science is not true and god is not real. i feel more threatened by the thought of ignorant religious types taking away our freedoms for an invisible friend they have.

  • @666nonbeliever

Taling snake? Snakes talk...they hiss. Don't they?

Man being in a fish's belly? A man can fit into a fish's belly. A whale, especially. Just saying. Jonah wasn't digested, you know? It wasn't like the poopy man emerged from the rectum as a living thing. And prove to me that the Bible is a fairy tale. I want concrete proof. I bet you can't disprove God. Try....just try.

  • @compsciguy

part 1. first how does hiss turn in to, hey lady eat the apple???? OK so I do believe Johna could have bin swallowed but what is the oxygen content in the whale's stomach, things that are swallowed alive die of suffixation fairly quick.

As for the bible being a fairytale - Jesus Christ has striking parallels to other deities worshipped in Hellenistic religion, specifically to the cult of Dionysus. thier are many gods born of virgins. Continued

  • @compsciguy

I notice on your other comments you like to perpetuate the lie that Hitler was an Atheist. "We were convinced that the people needs and requires this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations" Adolf Hitler October 24, 1933 Berlin.

  • @666nonbeliever Hey, guess what! I wanna talk about your screen name, and then comment on what you said a few months back. First off, why would you choose the combination of three six's? that would mean you believe in something

that your natural eyes cannot see. therefore you must believe in something, Right? which bring me to my point.

you used ''666: go and look up where ''666'' came from.

  • @compsciguy part 2

I can not disprove god and you can not prove his existence ether. the bible is so poorly written it is not proof , the Koran is the same way. Here is a better challenge try and prove god exists. You should watch the god who wasn't thier. A good read for you would be Jesus Christ in comparative mythology on wiki. You can also stick your fingers in your ears and believe in iron are fairytales, that's your chose to be stupid

  • @aragonnnnn why do religious believers always react that panically when they are confronted with evolutional facts? they tell more to themselves than to others that "they will stand before god" because they are insecure if it's really true and they want to calm themselves with this fearful wishes.

if believing is a choice, then you are the biggest idiot. it's like a slave who originally wanted to be a slave. it's like someone wanting to not know the truth bc he fears it!

  • @666nonbeliever It actually does require a ton of faith to believe in evolution. Macro-evolution can't even be scientifically observed.

You should read a book that challenges this view quite well, "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist". Great book, even if you don't believe it, it's fun to read.

  • @mikeyboy86

I have read the counter arguments to evolution none of them are very scientific, Many Christians except evolution and science that goes against the bible. thier is a much larger world out thier that sadly most religious people won't get.

As for that book I got it for Christmas from a relative it is a waste of paper and ink, with things to make believers feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

You should watch this movie though it is interesting to say the least.

  • @666nonbeliever Science is observational study, you can't observe macro-evolution.

Anyways, I agree, most arguments outside of the book "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist" are very non-scientific. This book however goes deeper than even many evolutionists go with it. I HIGHLY recommend it. Many atheists are starting to change upon reading this book. If you lived near me I'd buy the book for you and a copy for any atheist friends you may have, it is that good. Please read it.

  • @mikeyboy86

Amen brotha! Macro Evolutioin canNOT, I REPEAT, MACRO EVOLUTION CANNOT BE OBSERVED DIRECTLY BY THE HUMAN EYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your comment and keep the faith!

  • @666nonbeliever

Evolution isn't a fact, and you are spouting your opinions, like a typical militant atheist. And noone is brainwashed by choice, so you need to stop blaming the brainwashed, and start blaming the brainwashERS. Get thepicture?

  • @666nonbeliever accept it...not except it

  • @666nonbeliever i completely agree! both nature, and that we're from monkeys, or we're made by god, theyre both just theories. nothing is FACT!

  • @megahexygenandoxygen, you are wrong. Both in your understanding of the word "theory", and of your opinion that we don't share a common ancestor with monkeys.

  • @666nonbeliever Wow fairy tales huh? You really don't know what the Bible is really about do you. In general it's a history book downgraded by society because it's moral teachings are to... "clean" for this world to handle.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007

would you consider a book with a talking snake and donkey that mentions unicorns a history book or a fairytale? Would a "moral" god kill 42 children for calling one of his messengers old baldy(2ND kings 2:24). It was through study of the bible and Koran that turned me in to a nonbeliever. as for being "clean" thier are more killings in the old testement then most horror novels.

  • Comment removed

  • Look I know you hate the Bible, God, and people who believe in God but that's no reason to just throw out lies there are no such things as unicorns. No God didn't kill them for calling him bald he killed them for slandering his name without remorse you know that's why Jesus died. As for you testament horror novels your the ones who 'kill' it.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 Just because I don't believe the bible doesn't meen I hate it I look at it in a different way. Do you think it is possible to hate the tooth fairy? I think of god and the tooth fairy in the same way they are not real so I can not hate them. i don't hate people that believe I disagree with them. The Bible mentions the word unicorn six times. Nu 23:22 Nu 24:8 Job 39:9 Job 39:10 Ps 29:6 Ps 92:10. I honestly don't think Jesus ever existed. please tell me were i have lied.

  • @666nonbeliever

(Psalm 92:10) "But you will exalt my horn like that of a wild bull..." 'wild bull' not horse/unicorn

(Numbers 23:22) "...The swift course like that of a wild bull is his." Again 'wild bull' not unicorn.

Same with Nu 24:8, Job 39:9, Job 39:10, Ps 29:6, and.

It's like saying, the seven headed lion was literally a genetically altered lion. =_=

Even if it did say a unicorn it's not real it's symbolic in other words a symbol representing something or someone. There are the lies.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007

In the king James version is the one with the unicorns, you see thier are changes in "gods" lasting words when ever somebody picks up the book and needs to change it so the gullible will still buy what they are selling.

  • @666nonbeliever I know right. :P

  • @666nonbeliever Last time I checked wild horned bulls aren't colorful, white, one horned horses, that poop rainbows. (I totally just made all this up about unicorns I don't know anything about them :P)

  • @Alodsable get an education.

  • Amen Brother...and go to hell!!!

  • @TheYearTwentyTwenty

It's so easy to be an atheist. You can deny evolution and Darwin, you can have NO morals...you can have no belief in Karma...you can pretty much do what ever you want without worrying about the consequences. It's such a cop out.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheYearTwentyTwenty First off I love you. You are missing the point. The point is that God loved you so much he sent his son to die for the sins you have committed and will commit. If you believe this you shall have eternal life. Give thanks to the Lord that one day we may stand before God because we are covered in the blood of Jesus. Jesus paid it all, all to to him owe. Make no mistake about it, one day every knee shall bow to the King. Choose eternal life over eternal fire.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheYearTwentyTwenty Can you prove he doesn't exist?

  • Comment removed

  • @iampoolman God sent his son, who also happened to be god to "pay for our sins". So, he sent himself, to be sacrificed to himself, because it was apperently the best way he could think of to forgive us..

After he is sacrificed, he goes to heaven & lives in perfect bliss for eternity.

Explain to me how that's a sacrifice.

He "suffered" (can god even suffer) for a few days out of eternity.

    What exactly did he sacrifice?

  • @Alodsable hell is for kids man, grow up. god and santa are pen pals..... sorry if science is hard, but its still fact.

  • @vedder530

Your opinion is not fact. Do you know what a fact is? Something that can be PROVED yes or no...no grey area. PROVE to me that science is hard.

  • I think martha west is beautiful :D Im at her age! She is sooooooooo cute :3

  • On the evolution of species?

Sorry hot chick reading teleprompter... it is the On The Origin of Species. Please, quit your job and give it to a moderately less attractive person who has an idea on what they are saying.

  • this movie, all who made it, and everyone who sees it will go straight to hell

  • Im sure thats written in the bible........

  • @damoos915. suck my dick! you pious, little pretentious halfwit. YOU have countless films about jesus, and WE have this.

let people believe what they want to believe, whether that be a 'GOD' or scientific FACT you have no right watching videos like this. fuck off.

  • @TheYearTwentyTwenty

That's not very Atheist of you, cussing out a Christian like that. That's just wrong.

  • @damoos915

ya 4real & burn for all eternity. i tell u peepz dat place is hawt. really hawt.

ur souls will get real crispy ya.

  • @damoos915

Uh.....are you the great Judge of all who goes to Hell? Could you please send The Teletubbies to Heaven because they haven't done anything wrong.

  • Although all of the actors and actresses in the film have done a great job at their roles, its the central actor who plays Charles Darwin that is the real attention grabber... you will love this movie watch it at

    EasyMediaClick (dot) com

  • DId she honestly just ask if anyone will care?

That's one of the stupidest questions I've ever heard. Non-fiction doesn't translate to boring. The movie Sherlock Holmes seemed to profit well, I believe it was set around the same time as Darwin's life. But I guess this movie isn't so action packed, so it doesn't draw the crowds who think that's all there is to a movie.

  • Bloody hell, I cant believe she just said "but will anyone care about a man who's life ended over a hundred years back?!", honestly I cant, what an utterly stupid STUPID comment!! I elieve the movie didnt get released in the states so perhaps she's doing her best to put people off it? I dont have much time or faith in American culture and comments/reviews like that only help to strenghten my view. Oh, and I dont believe in god, the almighty, allah, whatever...

  • @CroppyBoy1798

Do you believe that dinasaurs came from nothing?

  • september 25th 2009?

  • I think the snapshot with the monkey is priceless! The movie will be great!

  • Funny, when I first saw Master and Commander I thought that this guy would be just right to play Darwin, and now the movie is here.

  • You are a fool. Why do you need to believe in God? Many people are perfectly happy not believing in imaginary things like the holy ghost, elves, and mermaids. I really believe those who believe in god do so becasue they can't face up to the inevitable - death. Time to grow up and face the music.

  • @thebackendofabus haha,so true

  • @thebackendofabus

that's a rude thing to say.....saying that ppl who fear death are not grown up.

What about all the other phobias? Do you think they need to grow up as well? What about an elderely lady on her death bed...who has luekimia and is 79 years old and has lived a good life, and is afraid of dying? Would you yell in her face....Grow up, you brainwashed idiot! What if it was your grandmother? Atheists can be sooooo rude. why don't YOU grow up and accept possibilies and imagination?

  • @thebackendofabus We do not face death. Only you do. We have the promise of eternal life. Look around man. Look at creation. That in itself tells us there is a creator. You non believers say " how can you believe in this ? " What's funny is that it takes much more faith to believe that all of creation just somehow evolved from nothing. Oh and for those of you who are so smart and think that we evolved from an ape. Why then do we still have apes why didn't they evolve. The stupidity.

  • @iampoolman "Why then do we still have apes why didn't they evolve. The stupidity".

We didn't evolve from apes. All you would have to do is take 10-15 min to look it up, but you're afraid to.

What you said is just stupid & has been answered MANY times.

We did NOT evolve from apes.

You idiots sit here and ask questions that have been answered already besause you're afraid to learn about it.

It's not up for debate wether you know the 1st thing about it, you have PROVED that you don't.

  • @swimmerbunner7 stupid people make me laugh, you are one of these people...evolution has solid evidence of its existence, there is NO proof of god,you are ignorant, and stupid, please dont reply,i dont want to speak to you

  • @mantellanicky

Macro evolution has no solid evidence. If it did, it wouldn't be controversial now would it? And there IS proof of God. Ahem....**cough cough....Shroud of Turron cough cough*** Our lady Fatima cough cough........The Dead sea scrolls...cough cough...the origina of the Black sea...coughcough Ahem....

  • @compsciguy read a book or two and you will see that there is evidence... i am not going to argue with you, because there is no way to explain this to you,no matter what i say you will not believe it so im not going to bother trying, you believe what you want, just dont shove it in peoples faces...

  • @swimmerbunner7

I agree. What's the meaning of living if you don't believe in some form of higher power? I'm NOT saying just the Christian Judeo God, or Allah, or Vishnu, I'm saying ANY form of some higher power. Why should we continue living if we have no purpose to live?

  • @Snookstix

What about RAPE, incest, danger to mother. You mentioned the last scenario, but if you were raped by your big black cousin who is 88 years old, and you got pregnant, you wold NOT I REPEAT YOU WOULD NOT WANT THE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow... Don't ANY creationists realize that Darwin wasn't trying to disprove God? Or that evolution doesn't contradict God? Or that evolution is only contraversial in the minds of creationists, not in the scientific community? Or that atheism doesn't back evolution, and vice versa? Why can't they get it through their deluded skulls?!?!

  • I think the movie looks awesome, just idiots advertising it.

  • Of course they don't. Creationists aren't your average Christian, they're especially stupid. You've got to be a special kind of idiot to be a Creationist. Evolutionism does not effect theism, the two are entirely separate, as you have pointed out.

Don't worry. Creationists are a dying breed.

  • Start worrying,

Creationism is gaining in popularity and Evolutionism may well be the dying breed.

    Why?

Because scientific enlightenment is slowly but surely progressing (despite Evolutionism) and the average person can see and know more for themselves.

Darwinism is dead, neo-darwinism is a dead man walking,

    but,

    maybe you are an idiot?

I don't know but if you gobble up Evolutionism it does qualify you as a suspect ;)

  • You really are a stupid cunt, deluded as well. Nobody believes in Creationism in the U.K, it is a laughing stock. As it is in Canada too (I used to live there).

You are a primitive, unintelligent idiot. Go and worship your Sun God, you medieval moron!

  • Wrong.

Headlines 'Creationism on the Rise in UK' is available for you to google,

    and,

Creationism is somewhere around 35% in Canada.. however.. this changed recently.. its been creeping up.

Now that I've educated you... ...go back to your 19th century pseudoscience and its magical morphing monkeys.

  • I'd rather 19th century than Bronze age, you primitive prick. I actually live in the U.K, and creationism isn't on the rise. Silly cunt. Do you believe in Santa and the tooth fairy too. The only thing on the rise in Canada is Islam. Go and suck God's make-believe dick if you love him so much.

You're a fully grown adult and you believe in Creationism, you should be ashamed of yourself. In fact, you shouldn't consider yourself part of the human race. Intellectually, you are a sub-human.

    Thicko!

  • Yes, I'm familiar with the UK (I make funny videos taking the piss),

    but,

I gave you way to find out it definitely IS on the rise in the UK.

Some decent surveys have about 30% accepting a Genesis account.

A MINORITY accept a 'natural non-ID' version of Evolution.

In fact it was a UK group hired to do research showing a rise in Creationism around the world.

Alberta is interesting here - a year after opening a Creation museum saw a shocking 10% increase for Genesis Creationism.

    Suck on facts.

  • Oh, you live in Alberta, makes sense.

30%, that isn't even plausible, it's just hilarious. Look, I live here and that really isn't the case. There are very few creationists here, the vast majority of Christians except evolution. Creationism isn't taught in any schools, and American creationists are often ridiculed on TV. The only Creationists in the U.K are Muslims, and maybe a handful of Christians.

  • Yes, I live in Alberta which has been the #1 Province for education investment and standards in Canada (and ranks high by world standards too),

    and,

Yes, we do have world class museums and leading paleontologists here,

    so,

maybe because of the high education levels and easy access to evolutionism here - that is why more are rejecting evolution than ever before.

I lived in the UK too but google 'creationism on the rise UK' and do some research.

    It is alive and well.

  • A quarter of Alberta's inhabitants aren't even religious. You're completely wrong. Alberta is not accepting creationism. On the contrary, in is rapidly diminishing. That is a fact. Education isn't anything special in Alberta, it isn't even the leading province. It is a nice place though. I used to live in Whistler in BC, stayed in Toronto for a bit too.

Creationism really is negligible here. Most Christians over here are just 'traditional Christian', the majority don't believe in Jesus.

  • Nope.

I do agree a quarter come out as non-religious in most polls and surveys.

Alberta has certainly held top spot in Education in both funding and then achievement in many past years so I hope that hasn't changed recently,

    but,

You can definitely find about 4 or 5 decent polls/surveys that more or less average out to about 30% of Canadians accepting a Genesis Creation 'YEC' account as the best explanation.

It increased in high-education Alberta according to a recent poll.

  • YEC is hilarious, especially the part about the global flood. A true Christian wouldn't believe in creationism. If you believe in creationism, then you aren't interpreting the bible correctly. Your supposed to read between the lines, that's what the the real Christians do.

Hey, at least your not a Muslim. Those guys really suck.

  • You can do better than that.

  • Do you believe in the great flood?

  • Yes, I believe there is massive walls of evidence for it. You can say the evidence is 'written in stone'.

    but,

maybe you are so ignorant you don't even know that?

Or you copy things you see on television (like Colbert report) and just assume you become 'smart' if you instantly squeal with giggles over the idea?

Tell me.. what is your problem?

  • We don't have the Colbert report here. I saw it a couple times in Canada, it was okay.

My problem is organized religion. Especially those that encourage homophobia and 'pro-life'. These include, - Islam, Baha'i faith, Christianity(not all denominations, the mild ones are fine), Judaism and Scientology.

  • It seems like you start from a premise something like this:

    - People may want/feel gay or abort their babies.

    - They will feel bad if they see or hear about disapproval or dislike of what they did.

    - Its bad for people to 'feel bad'.

    - Whatever is teaching this 'disapproval' must be wrong and bad (Islam, Christianity or whatever).

So, to 'help people' not feel bad you militate against (Islam, Christianity etc).

    Is that about right?

  • No, not at all. I don't care if people feel bad, that's their problem. It's all about freedom. As long as people are free to abort their babies and fuck the adults they choose, regardless of their sex, then religion is okay.

Not all forms of Christianity and Islam are bad. Many are very open minded and tolerant. There are gay priests and pro-choice Christians, and millions of Christians that except evolution. In fact, the majority favour evolution. It would be naive to group all them together.

  • 'free to abort babies and fuck the adults'.

    wow.

Why don't you let people be free to decide what they think is good and what they think is disgusting?

    Who are you to judge?

By what standard is 'freedom to abort babies and fuck whoever they choose' called 'good'?

I have to give you credit here - you are a helluva lot more honest and straightforward about this than most of the 'youtube atheist' teens on here.

  • I don't think you understand what 'free to' actually means. It means that they are free to do so at their own discretion. Don't you understand the English language? I'm not suggesting that anyone does anything, other that what they choose to do(as long as it doesn't impose on anyone else).

  • Right.

    and I didn't say otherwise.

I did not misinterpret the language either.

By what standard is 'freedom to abort babies and fuck whoever they choose' called 'good'?

    Your own?

Just based on how you feel this year?

Should people have the freedom to denounce your standard?

The freedom to try and convince the 'aborters' and 'fuckers' to change their mind?

  • I wasn't suggesting that people become sex-mad, promiscuous hedonists. I was just trying to illustrate the point that freedom of sexuality is paramount to a civilized society.

And as for abortion, it is a fantastic thing. There is nothing wrong with it. A shrimp has more life than an embryo. No brain cells, no nerve endings.

There is nothing wrong with trying to get them to change their minds. That's fine. As long as you allow them to do so. Abortion is illegal in Some countries, that's sick!

  • 'abortion, it is a fantastic thing'.

    Wow.

Well I guess that is easy for you to say since you were not 'fantastically aborted'.

Why should brain cells and nerve endings mean anything to you?

People in comas have those and why not abort them?

Another question here - why shouldn't a gang stop abortions?

So what if enough get together and decide to take away the freedom to tear babies from wombs?

What if the majority wants the freedom to abort you instead?

    Why should you stop them?

  • people in comas are always being terminated. If they're not going to get any better, you may as well cease the life support.

I am a thinking, eating, living human. Babies aren't aborted. Embryos are aborted. You can't abort a developed baby from the womb, it's illegal. There is strict legislation. If anyone tries to stop abortions, they deserve to be hung.

Women aren't forced into abortions, not in the good countries. It is nobodies choice other than the women who is having to abortion.

  • @ElProximo

What does abortion have to do with this trailer? Some atheists are against abortions too, you know? And some Christians have had abortions because they got raped by their fathers.

  • @compsciguy

I don't recall the original comments I made on abortion so I can't help you there. I wouldn't start arguing for (or against) anything based on some bizarre and horrible aberrations though.

  • @moodini99

Abortion is a fantastic thing? Explain how murdering an innocent baby is fantastic? What if YOU were murdered because your parents didn't love you?

  • Murdering an innocent baby, lol. Having an abortion is not 'murdering an innocent baby'. It's barely anything more than a period. A tiny embryo with no brain cells or nerve endings is not a baby. Do you have a funeral every time you ejaculate?

Abortion IS a fantsastic thing, and it will never be illegal in civilized countries like the U.K and U.S. What are you, a Christian or something?

  • Creationists may be scientifically illeterate, but I think they see the writing on the wall. They know that evolution means no original sin and no original sin means no salvation. Their savior is obsolete. That is why they remain in denial.

  • Sure, they thrive on the notion of sin. They claim that God is loving, then preach about his plans to deem disbelievers to an eternity of pain. These primitive people really are the scum of the Earth. They're an embarrassment to us all. lol

  • @hbgoddard

Why can't you stop assuming that EVERY creationist is as deluded as your delusional mind tends to brand them as? Grow up and realize your opinion does not cause ppl to convert so easily. Just saying.

  • The Evolution of Species???

  • Comment removed

  • Now this looks interesting, quite historical im guessing. And if anyone wants to complain, check an umbiased source of Darwin beforehand. (even Einstein was an agnostic when he was younger but as he aged, even he began to believe in the existence of God.)

  • What you said about Einstein was just the opposite. He believed in God as a child and became a pantheist. He surely didn't become a more dedicated believer as time went on.

  • You're right, he was a Spinozist.

  • this will be great...the equal to and more rational than the other side....mel gibsons insaine bloodfeast!

  • Cant wait to see it...LOOKS AMAZING!!

  • The host it's a COMPLETE SLUT of course we care D:

  • i think seperating from a "loved one" because of religious difference is no love at all, and no one gives a shit about ancient romance, maybe the romeo and juliet crowd which is not very big... which is why they had to get a hot actress and younger faces, also evilbible . com clearly shows the bible is a contradicted peace of unevolved trash
