  • @5durdur I suggest that you click the "Guinness" link in the description.

  • "Hi, I'm Oskar van Deventer, and I'm smarter than you."

Well played sir, well played. Congratulations on the record.

  • That one dislike is some dude who FAILED to break the record xD

  • May I ask you why the outer (black) pieces aren't colored? Not that I mind or anything like that, I just find it weird.

  • @selbi182 I think it's to help keep it together - each face has 17x17 coloured pieces and some black ones

  • @BobbieTheFish Yes, but what's so hard about spraying some paint out of a paint can onto the pieces?

  • thank you for watching? :P

  • Now can you make a 17x17x17 gift puzzle?

  • have you ever solve it, if you thats a world record

  • Yah! I'm finally in the world record books because I a Subscriber and a big time Viewer of yours!

  • Well deserved, Oskar! I'm very happy for you! ~Jon

  • Great design and everything, but I dnt think it should count as a world record considering you would only have to solve the centers.

  • one person hates you and your amazing brain.

  • I think this is a great achievement, well done sir ;)

Would you consider uploading the video evidence on youtube that you and your wife made for Guiness? I think it would be good as a bonus video or something. Unless it's the same video as the original 17x17x17 introduction video of course.

  • Finally I understand why you have that strange accent!

  • What a fantastic last video to watch before ending my cubing interest for good.

  • fantastic!!this cube is a dream

  • Im simply being amazed by the cube and then out of corner of my eye i see something extraordinary.. A kitty kat! :D

  • what about the overlap cube?

  • @MyLifeInAllItsGlory I consider Overlap Cube too exotic for it to be considered by Guinness. But yes, it is the largest of the 2x2xN puzzles.

  • Congratulations Oskar, you deserve every bit of it.

  • It's a great puzzle, but why did you make only the outer pieces black? Why didn't you just print the whole cube black, and stick the whole cube like the v-cubes. It would look better.

  • I like the kitty :)

  • Oskar, do you know if anyone has ever purchased the puzzle on shapeways?

  • @mistaecco Yes.

Would this one be maybe twice as long :)

obs.: loks like the cube is much more smooth than before...

  • @jlga100 I sent Guinness photos for their book. But it is up to Guinness to decide whether they are going to publish the record in their book ...

  • congrats ^^

  • That is an amazing achievement!

I hope that in the future you will improve on the model even more.

Are you going to try to?

  • next guinness world record? the first person to solve the thing! :)

  • congratulations Oskar!

  • You are awesome

  • have you or has anyone ever solved that?

  • @TheDJNProductions This is nearly unsolveable. Not because its that hard, its really easy, i solved a 20x20x20 in seven hours, but that was on a cumputer. On the pc one turn is one click, but if you watch a video of turning this thing, you see that there 1 turn needs half minute (at least).

  • Awesome!

  • congratulations

  • Congratulations, Oskar!

Still, expanding on this cube is only a mechanical and financial matter, right? Just like the Guinness world record for the largest cookie or hamburger can be broken with relative ease, I fully expect you to design a 9001x9001x9001 cube within the next 10 years.

  • @aseq2 I assume that there are further engineering barriers when going to even higher orders.

  • @aseq2 The "OVER 9000! Cube"

  • Congratulations

  • CONGRATS

  • Congratulations

  • Congratulations!

  • Congratulations!
