  • David Cook? Ugh.. Needtobreathe are SOO much better than David Cook. Just sayin

  • One of the best bands I've seen live. Their passion just comes pouring out of their souls. I am SO happy to have their music in my life!!!

  • I love his voice so much!

  • Did I mention I love this??

  • This group is talented - their messages and their music touch your soul. Not an easy thing to do in this age of pop music for profit.

  • NTB the lord is with them . love the music!!

  • I wonder why they didnt sing the last verse : \

  • Bookmarked & played daily. Thank You! : )

  • Love this song! It gives me chills! Breath-taking!! Love them!!! :D Some of the most sincere guys you will ever meet too!

  • The lead singer sounds a little bit like Caleb from Kings of Leon

  • this is angie z. i went to this concert!!! jesus jam in arizona!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wanna hear him let loose.

  • I love the soul behind this. Soooo awesome!!!

  • Love the voice and sound, great stuff is being produced in the christian music industry

  • They are playing at Rock The Universe at Universal Studios next weekend which is a 100% Christian venue...so they are not hiding from their faith or afraid of being pigeon holed any more than LifeHouse

  • saw this live in memphis when they opened for train, and it was the most moving live performance i've ever experienced. I LOVE YOU NEEDTOBREATHE!

p.s. i'm jewish and i still love them as a band. to me, most of their music can be interpreted to mean many things. belief and faith is not specific to christianity, but to every religion.

  • @corporallittle & turbo....imagine how many Flyleaf was able to reach when they played OZZFEST..... I agree after all Jesus didnt hang with the typical churchgoers, he reached out to theives prostitutes and others that were less than desirable...because they had the need for Him in their lives ....And the greatest of these commands is love

  • On of my favorite bands!!!!

  • whoever disliked the song has not been listening.

  • These guys are amazing!! Just saw them in Ft Wayne, IN... will try to go ever concert of theirs that I can! Love how the crowd didn't try to sing over them and let us hear they in all their glory!

  • david cook needs to be opening for THESE guys..

  • @basketball201120 yea no american idol winner can compare to that voice

  • they are a christian band, i know someone who knows them and supposedly Bear the lead singer got vocal lessons in the U.K.

  • awww seth...

  • This is fantastic. This guy has some serious soul in his voice, and, the bluesy gospel sound grabs you. I need to hear more!

  • Yes :)

  • love love love them. saw them in Charleston.

  • wow, these guys are incredible. very moving

  • They are a Christian Band...listen to the lyrics..they are washed by the water of the Lord...Amen

  • His voice sounds like the guy from Kings of Leon

  • Bear's voice fills that whole place. Wow. Incredible.

  • Amazing!!

  • He looks like the guy on Idol now with the long hair... even his voice. Of course, NEEDTOBREATHE is a ton better but noww i know why i like him. This is beautifully done......... love love love it.

  • They are seriously amazing

  • why was I given a thumbs down ??? strange.

but the Vogue was PACKED, concert was

    FUN.

  • I bet I get to hear this LIVE and right UP FRONT

at The Vogue, Indy, March 25th...Dancing just

    thinkin' bout it. PEACE

  • Great show at the Vogue!

  • I went to their concert in Cleveland on 3/17/10 and they did this song acoustic...and man, I love how Bear can sing so strongly and beautifully. I don't know how he pulls it off time and time again, after singing an entire concert, but man am I glad he does. NEEDTOBREATHE is fantastic. Love them.

  • It sounds like a country version of Kings of Leon.

  • @tyluhhhh91... I wouldn't call it *country*. It's Gospel-y and sounds like a blues revival. Country is hokey these days. This has serious soul.

  • yahh i agree here, but if your just gonna give it a label real wuick you could call it country but yeah i hear it on more of teh gospel-y side with this song having a blues theme. just leik you

  • @tyluhhhh91 kings of leon is horrible and needtobreathe isn't though

  • I WAS THERE!!!!!! it was amazing! love these guys and David Cook! :)

  • This proves the talent of these guys that they have the nerve to do this with nothing but a guitar and voices. Love them, could listen to Bear all day long. Great voice. I am seeing them live on March 16, 2010. Can't wait!

  • lol they rock, youll love it, i just wish the place was this quiet when i went to see the david cook concert(they were better ;D) but when they played it in our auditorium ppl were constantly screaming and it was annoying.

  • his voice gives me goosebumps all the time. Geez....I love need to breathe

  • Amazing. I can't wait to see them live.

  • Such a powerful and beautiful voice! Bear is soo gorgeous! He has one lucky wife!

  • @ckmusic17 She is equally gorgeous!!! And sooo skinny!!!

  • ohmygoodness i LOVE them...just found out that @andrewripp is opening for them in Michigan...cannot wait!

  • Michigan... Hope I can see them there sometime.

  • they r anointed

  • this song is amazing and they sound sooo good acoustic!!! they write such good songs, i love all their lyrics...

  • WOW...I love Needtobreathe...and this is by far the BEST video of them singing...amazing...thanks for posting! I can't wait for their new CD...I wished they'd do a stripped version like this...

  • I'm sorry...the song just does'nt make alot of sense.

  • their dad was a preacher...people started gossiping about him in their church...his dad rose above it and the chorus is about even when things go bad and people are acting like people do that we can still be content in Christ...plain and simple...

  • Unfornately,I know that. But thats not the half of it.I don't wanna get on here telling stuff that probably should be let go.But I know the story ohhh too well.Believe me.

  • Basically, no matter what happens, they are washed by the water (Jesus is the Living Water who washes their sins and makes them whole)

  • Oh,bo doubt...ya have to be able to let that stuff go....right.

  • R they a Christian band?

  • They are more Southern Rock, but they do have some Christian/gospel undertones in some of their songs.

  • @fsdwx Nah... They're straight up a Christian band. No questions asked.

  • @made2shoot21 They are a Christian band but they don't want to be labeled into Christian music.. they want to play their music where people are at like bars and stuff. Reach people through love and their music.

  • @turbocharg3dazn Why wouldn't a Christian band be able to play in a bar or "stuff" or reach people through love and music? That whole statement makes no sense.

  • Comment removed

  • @corporallittle Most Christian band's don't play in bars. They play in a Church or at a Christian venue. This band actively seeks to play in outside the box places. I never said that a Christian band couldn't play in these locations. These guys actively seek not to be labeled as a Christian Rock Band. You don't have to be condescending.

  • @turbocharg3dazn dude, I wasn't trying to be condescending to you. I just said I dont understand what you ment. When I go out witnessing, I go where people who need God are - bars, homeless shelters, hospitals, ect. NTB does the same thing. I've been following these guys for a long, long time. A very good friend of mine played football with them at Furman. Neither he or I have ever heard them say they weren't a Christian band. Thats all.

  • @fsdwx - they are a Christian band. This song is about is dad who's a preacher in South Carolina.

  • @corporallittle Thanks. I made that initial reply/comment almost a year ago, when I had first "discovered" NTB. At that time, all I really knew of them was the bio on their MySpace page, which doesn't mention anything about being a Christian band. The only reference to their faith was that Bear/Bo's dad was a pastor. I follow them more closely now & know they are a Christian band, tho it's still not obvious to "outsiders" given the broad range of places/radio formats which play their songs.

  • @corporallittle They AREN'T a Christian band. If you ask ANY of the boys if they are, they'll say no. The guys themselves may have faiths and such but they are NOT a Christian band.

  • @iHeartNexus So are they the real deal? Do they live for Christ or they just making a buck off Christian music? Are they just playing for access having someone listen to their music. Is it about them succeeding in America? What drives them- money, fame....?

  • @19walker11 Alright everyone calm down about this subject. I've met the band several times and they've said over and over that they're very Christian guys. But no they're not a Christian band. When I asked if they intend on writing Christian songs Bear said," When we write a song we never say: hey guys let's write a Christian song. It just comes out that way through how we live and what we believe.

  • @corporallittle True, they are a Christian band, but that's not because they're dad is a preacher. Being a pastor's kid doesn't make you a Christian, accepting Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior does. I know you know that, but I'd hate to see that go unclarified.

  • they are all christain though

  • What's wrong wit being all Christian?

  • Nothing, I was saying it as a positive thing to somebody questioing their faith.

  • @STVGB4 Their music is influenced by a few different genres. As far as their faith, they place their faith In Christ. So I guess you could call them Christians.

  • @STVGB4 I believe so.

  • @STVGB4 I believe so.

  • I was there! It was perfecto :)

  • Goodness I love this band... And I love David Cook... I with they would do a full tour, My heart would sing for a long time and I would not let those tickets go by without buying one.

  • Glad you can appreciate it, I haven't exactly seen a lot of David Cook fans embracing them ;) But they are incredibly talented guys and they have so many styles and sounds, all of which are just so GREAT!

  • I LOVE David Cook......and Needtobreathe :) I wish they had opened for him when I went to see him.

  • best song man, especially if you on the way to the east coast to surf!

  • I saw this live too...Amazing! Bought and loved both CD's...cant wait for the new one to come out!

  • I loved this so much when I saw them in Duluth. Totally amazed by them, such a great band. Great vid too!

  • This is so beautiful! They did the same thing in the show that I was at, in New Orleans, so beautiful and moving!

  • I missed the Petty cover. Did you get that?

  • Love love love. This was amazing!

  • I was there and it was a beautiful performance. They were very impressive.

  • If you have ever heard Robert Pattinson sing they have a familiar tone to their voices... its amazing.

  • This is the 1st video I've seen of NtB, and I'm very impressed! Kind of a southern/gospelly feel to the song. Nice harmonies, too. Thanks for sharing!

  • Wow...just Wow!!! Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing.

  • WOW!! Just Beautiful!!!

  • Thanks for posting this! I love Bear's voice. It's so powerful and he sings with such passion. Love the harmonies too! Well shoot, I just love NTB!

  • Great performance, very soulful.

  • Beautiful!

  • Beautiful song! Thanks for sharing!

  • Gorgeous song. What a brave thing to do in concert - acoustic and no mics. It worked! The Orpheum Theatre must be a great place for a concert. Thanks for capturing this performance for us.

I've enjoyed Needtobreathe opening for David Cook!
