The informed consent sounds like a reasonable regulation, but when they went to the 3 day waiting period plus consultation with private crisis pregnancy centers, thats...an interesting example of deceptiveness. Too bad the Supreme's got us into this mess with the Roe v. Wade decision. Too bad the S.Dakota legislature can't spend its time doing something like improving their roads or schools instead of dreaming up fundamentally disingenuous legislation like this.

There's a reason why the pro-life movement is largely older men: it's not about protecting babies. It's about punishing women who dare to have sex. The proof is in their rabid opposition to birth control. If you cared about the lives of unborn babies, wouldn't you want to prevent as many unwanted pregnancies as you can?

Early stage fetuses aren't babies though, and women have the right to terminate the pregnancy if they so desire (provided it's early enough) because it's their body, not yours. Are you a woman? If not, don't come in here talking about reproductive rights as if you have any right to say what decisions they should make. If you ARE a woman (which I doubt), shut up anyway and accept that your domain is only over your own uterus, not everyone else's.
