the best way to slow motion on sony vegas and make it even slower like on adobe after effects right click the clip go to Inset/Remove Envelope and click velocity then a green line will come up on your clip and your drag it down for slower and up for faster and it goes as low as three wich is like insanely slow! but dont go past 0 or it starts reversing! thumbs up so people see!

Great video, very helpful. However, unchecking the preserve pitch option in the preferences menu, didn't give me the gorilla voice. I'm still hearing the echo voice instead. I'm using Sony Vegas Platinum edition... not sure if there is something else I need to modify? I've looked around and haven't seen anything else. Very frustrating.

What I'm trying to do is figure out some difficult guitar solo progressions for learning purposes (i.e.-slow down finger placement AND audio without a mushy, semi-audible audio sample after stretching).

To slow down only part of a clip, find the area of the clip where you want it to start in slow mo and press S. Then move your arrow key to the right until you see the part where you want the slow mo to end and press S again. Now you can edit just that one chunk of the film.

ok., I've been trying to fix this, but every time i alter the speed of a clip by holding Ctrl (control) then i left click, my mouse cursor ZOOMS to the top left of my screen. when i let go of ctrl, im able to move my mouse freely. any fixes for that?
