  • love the guitar rifts

  • LYRIC WRITTEN WRONG ..."All ALONE is all we are"

  • @dariobr83 No, its not. It's clearly "All in all is all we are." Listen to the song.

  • find my nest of salt

    naw

    "feminist assault"

  • @iluvmusic2300 And What about M.V. (Moist V*gina) Nirvana made that song -- it was about sex and weed. Same with Gallons of rubbing alcohol flows through the strip. -- If you don't know totally what you're talking about, you need to research it. Nirvana had alot of non-mainstream stuff, too. My personal favorite is the last song i said. xD

  • @iluvmusic2300 They also have many other referances to other drugs, as well as queens of the stone age --"Feel good hit of the summer" (With Dave Grohl.); and honestlly. There's always gonna be some little shit that goes and says, OH, yeah, lets go get fucked up for the sake of getting fucked up, but then there's the person that does it to ease their mind, for the sake of putting themselves back into reality, and to make them feel good enough to make something and call it their own.

  • @iluvmusic2300 Other than all the people out there, telling you you're wrong and all. But, I believe they didn't understand you. I think you were talking about the songs today are all about getting f-ed up, and how great it is. And yeah, That's great and all, but can't we all come to the conclusion, that, rock-Grunge, alternative, Every Genre, Has some drugs, and most people have problems even if they say they don't. Cause everyone does. --Also you're wrong. Nirvana has a song about Marijuana.

  • i want commercial music dead... i want only good music... i don't want "a music", i want "THE music", i don't want "rock music", i want "ROCK MUSIC\M/", and i want people who agree!

  • Great tune, ah miss those days..I remember doing a cover version of Smells like teen spirit in 1992 in my first band :) when I was a teen :)

  • love listening to nirvana wen im down , this song deff takes my mind off'a things !!

  • the problem is with kids my age who like nirvana is that they are Dbags

  • i'm always in a trance everytime i hear this song...

  • what else coul I say ? BIEBER IS A GAY !

  • on my In Utero CD all opologies is 30 minutes long? 0_0

  • Why would even two people dislike this? Were you expecting someone else when you clicked on the link?

  • yeap....he's married and buried...Why even bother apologizing?

  • everyone is gay...WHAT THE FUCK HAHAHAHA

  • @brunobb1 it means happy...

  • @xPeaceLoveNirvanax I don't like being happy...being happy is gay, HAHAHAHA

  • @brunobb1 Kurt loved Gay people. Because he hated jocks who thought they were cool. They are the opposite of cool.

  • @BoysLikeMeee normally when people hate jocks, it is because they got their ass kicked by them. The grunge scene was a counter response to glam rock and bands like Motley Crue, Van Halen and Guns and Roses, the sound and image are "dirtier". I grew up in the grunge era, but now that I look back, this is some really depressing shit and glam rock bands like Skid Row are so much more fun than the anger and angst put forth by grunge. Either way, I grew up in a great time.

  • I dedicate this song to my ex-friend Leo and his love at the time Amanda. He played this song all the time while with her. Hope you are well man, wherever you are.

  • Kurt was writing songs at 16 man get a life nobody care about your age.

  • Comment removed

  • @padilpr1640

    You are 16, SO WHAT???

  • i can really relate to him.. our lives are really similar and he thinks just like me.. im glad i know what REAL music is thanks to my for introducing me REAL rock at a young age. im 13 now and im really pissed i was born in this stupid generation with hannah montana and justin bieber and all these electronic techno songs and everything is about drugs and sex and crap like that -.- i wish was born in the 80s ahhhg :(

  • @iluvmusic2300 its the generation we were mean for and no matter what people say nirvana will live on forever with its amazing music and im with you on learning REAL music and REAL rock at a young age because alot of people in our generation now don't know what good music is anymore

  • @iluvmusic2300 this generation sucks ass! Well Nirvana will always be my favorite band and Kurt Cobain will always be my idle but i meen i like screamo so this generation helps that haha

  • @iluvmusic2300 I feel you lil one, but about the drugs part, thats what makes me pissed, in the 60's up to the 90's, drugs is what the REAL muscisians did, now goddamn Keshea and all these other pop singers have there little happy-go-lucky pop tunes talking about getting fucked up, pshhhh bitch please, when you know what it feels like to be grown and hooked on a serious drug, and no, not sniffing glue, talkin bout heroin, coke, hit me up.

  • @iluvmusic2300 You'd need to be born in the 70s! And it was great.

  • @iluvmusic2300 but then ud be old like me lol just make sure u don't turn out like they SAY he did. i don't believe that story but still..

  • @iluvmusic2300 same here im 12 and i love nirvana.... without out nirvana there would be no hannah montanna crap........ my life is a lot like his as an upcoming teen, and a lot of the things kurt sings bout i can relate to, and other ppl ( the techno crap lovers) they listen to kurts lyrics and they have o idea what hes talking about and they think his words are crazy. but i think every word as a meaning and when you put them together they make a meaningful message to say!!!!!

  • it's sounds more like he's sayin', " all alone is all we are"

    but that's just my opinion

    Don't hate

  • Married Married Married Married Burried

    ENough Said

  • +JVA+

  • I understand Kurt was the true genius and madman behind nirvana's music, but everyone always forget's about dave grohl. I mean it's no coincidence Dave has been in two extremely successful rock bands and even was successful in TCV as a side project.

  • i agreee man peace luv you kurt <3

  • shut the fuck up about justin fuckin bieber!! every video about a dead or great artist and you go on about justin beiber, fuck off! a.your jealous admit it. b.he deserves his credit for what he does .c.thats pop music always will be .d. just dont listen to him and stop bitchin, fuck sake.

  • I thought he said: ''All we know is all we Are''.

  • This was pretty much his last musical message to the world. It wasn't just coincidence this was the last song on In Utero

  • EVERYTHING IS GAY! lol

  • I like this better than the unplugged version. Don't get me wrong, the unplugged version is amazing as well. I just don't listen to this song. I FEEL IT.

  • i miss you sunshine...

  • @jujugorawr lol

  • 2:21 my favorite picture :)

  • all in all is all we are

  • this is my favorite Nirvana song :]

  • when did Kurt had blue black hair ?

  • Comment removed

  • i adore nirvana..

  • isnt it all alone is all we are?

  • @brownybum123 no it ALL and ALL is ALL we are

  • These lyrics make me laugh, there so off. Nice try.

  • @sraaju what the fuck are you talkin about these are the right lyrics

  • Anyone who really listened to In Utero could have figured out the fact it was a Suicide letter unless they were clueless. When making pennyroyal tea, only the pennyroyal herb should be used. The essential oil of pennyroyal should NOT be used, as it is a poison. Death from untreatable organ failure can result if the essential oil is used. Also he often put himself down in the lyrics. ie: "Dumb"

  • @GothicRaven1172 obviously

  • All in all Lasagna

  • @piggyfatt GENIUS

  • @xxStRoNgOxx LMAO you get it!

  • Comment removed

  • is it me or does this songs sound predictable?

    marriage buried, all apologies (lyrics)

is like kurt married courtney (married), then he killed himself (buried)

and he apologize for not being there (all apologies)..

    hmmmm..

  • @stars2gal I though i was the only one catching on to that! i see so many suicide references in his songs and i'm like how do you not see that. kinda creepy to think about but its like he was planning it the whole time. regardless of him killing himself i fucking love his music and i think he was a genius.

  • @MyFri3ndsAreInMyHead i completeley agree

  • Kurt Cobain would be ashamed to read most of these comments.

  • What else could I write? I don't have the right! With such a genius song I don't know what to write!

  • Nice photos of Nirvana I have never seen before.

  • if kurt cobain were still alive justin bieber would be working at mcdonalds

  • @buggiesdad

LMAO. I actually laughed til I cried with this comment. Thanks for making me laugh. :-DDD

  • @buggiesdad My favourite youtube comment so far...Good work!!

  • @buggiesdad When is Bieber going to do a cover version of "All Apologies"?

  • Thats what I was thinking of the first time I heard this song after knowing Bieber LOL

  • @buggiesdad i think they wouldn't hire him even there..

  • @buggiesdad hey i work at mcdonalds!! if that lil focker worked there id dump him in oil!

  • @rokrspi ya man id eat him like shrimp fried pussy. now go back to work earn some money and go buy some good ol grunge cds

  • i thought he said all alone is all we are ..hmmm

  • @tollstamer i thought that until i bought the album but i think it suits it better dont u

  • this song is really calming. R.I.P. Kurt Cobain. The rhythms in the song make it calming.

  • Wow it's so ironic how he said, "Everyone is gay." This was his last song :P

  • may you rest in the arms of the goddess until reincarnation time!

  • kurt's and dave's voices fit so well with each other

  • does he really say aqua seafoam shame?

  • @iamthescott1 sounds like he said that as a word to disguise (I can see folks shame) but yes that is what he says ppl in another country made a thing on it

  • He wasn't a great singer... He wrote well though !!

  • @raymond2u55 watch a different video

  • i like how kurt done some hard rocking songs and slow songs like this and polly

  • luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv this song rip kurt wonderful wonderful band nirvana was. kurt was COOL.

  • This is one of my many favorite Nirvana songs. I've listened to Nirvana my whole life. I love their music.. R.I.P. Kurt Cobain

  • satanists rock and roll stars, all they do is pot and then right songs about there experiens under that horrible drug that people always kill them selfs doing

  • @algor123 haha if anything man the rock stars that kill themselves are always on something stronger than weed(pot) man its not a horrible drug it relaxes you so idk how you would could kill your self while you were relaxed now cocaine thats a different story cuz you know, its a hellava drug hahaha

  • @albert1124 fuck your couch nigga lol

  • @algor123 huh, interesting you could spell write correctly to give yourself some validity.

  • @joshtid3 suck a hard dick you pot head

  • @algor123 thats odd considering theres never been a recorded marijuana overdose.

I wonder where you get your facts from. Your narrow minded head?

  • just in case anyone is doubting the acuracy of the lyrics in the vid soon after the album was released they released the lyrics coz due to the way Kurt used to read most ppl didn't understood (some still don't)

so no it's not "proceed from shame" like some may think no matter how weird it may sound it is "aqua seafoam shame"

  • nirvana na veia!!!!!!!

  • Yes, it is "I proceed from shame" not aqua seafoam shame, lol!

  • @Snarkyone1965 FAIL

  • @Snarkyone1965 hAHA

  • be married is bad

i'm sorry, but my english is bad :/

  • All in all is all we are, It basically means we are everything in everything in different scales, STRING theory SLASH Buddhism...

  • I think its " I proceed from shame" instead of aqua seafoam shame,

  • @StabbyFork FAIL! read the lyrics sheet inside the cd cover.

  • well mine makes more sense.

  • R.I.P Kurt. <3

  • i love that picture at the end of kurt smiling. he was such a cool guy

  • damb right man... i was born a few years before he died so il never see the guy live...

  • still wow....

  • "all we know is all we are" goes along with the rest of the lyrics...and buddhist philosophy. We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.- Buddha

"He is able who thinks he is able."-Buddha "What we think, we become." - Buddha...I did that three times for the trinity...:)

  • its "all in all is all we are" listen to it closely, theres no distinction, try at the end, its pretty clear

  • @misspanacea ummm he actualy said all alone is all we are

  • @madmen269

No he doesn't, he says "All in all is all we are."

  • @misspanacea

all in all is all we are

if ever bought in utero you would have read the printed lyrics

  • someone explaine the lyric pleaseee

  • I thought it was "All we know is all we all are."

  • @dirtyfang : tanga

  • I thought he said "All alone is all we are".

  • there more like metaphors. Kurt actually said in an interview that he doesn't even know what the hell he's talking about or writing about half the time. Fuckin awesome :D

  • @BrookeEmber

Yeah, he speaks in code, and later assigns meaning to it, and lets the reader attach meaning to the cryptic words as well, pure genius

  • is the drummer for Nirvana now the lead singer for The Foo Fighters

  • yeah, dave grohl

  • ive always found that funny like why didnt he do more background singing if he was capible

  • that is a good question

maybe he didn't discover that he could til after Kirt Cobain's death

  • @dcdude171

I don't think he wanted to disturb Cobain's genius work, The Foo Fighters never would have happened if Cobain hadn't have died, he felt inadequate compared to Cobain, and never approached him with his work, i'm glad the Foo Fighters existed tho, great band, not my favourite tho, mostly due to the media over-saturation, they treat him like Cobain jr. its retarded

  • um nirvana recorded sum early foos songs with dave singing/playing guitar and kurt drumming they just were never used.

  • @laurasamj

"Dave Grohl joined the grunge group Nirvana as its drummer in 1990 after the break up of Grohl's previous band: Scream. In order to occupy himself during tours, he took a guitar with him and wrote songs. Grohl held back these songs from the band; he said in 1997, "I was in awe of frontman Kurt Cobain's songs. And intimidated. I thought it was best that I keep my songs to myself."

  • i wish i could hear em

  • Dude, the music of 2009 is nothing compared to the music back then.

  • back then it was the 90's is funny how fast music gos to shit lol

  • all in all is all we are

    i LOVE it!

  • fucking awesome song

  • is it "all in all is all we are"?

or "all alone is all we are"?

  • All in all is all we are.

  • the first one*

  • all in all is all we are

  • KURT is one of the best singer i've known. R.I.P KURT COBAIN! your memory and your songs stay with us forever.

  • @erlin0627 why would you say rest in peace? Kurt Cobain killed him self with a shotgun. I don't know about you but I would not be at peace with myself.

  • @antone32795

Actually, there is evidence that he might of been shot. Such as no fingerprints on the gun, now could you shoot yourself then wipe off the fingerprints? No. Plus, Kurt wasn't wearing gloves.

  • @antone32795 i thought it was a pistol a shotgun is a bit of an over kill

  • @MEGAKAYSTAR It was a Remington Model 11 20-gauge shotgun. The gun is actually a shotgun that people buy for protection because its not very powerful and it doesn't shoot through walls. just one part of the whole cobain murder conspiracy theory. not that i believe that.

  • @erlin0627 No. He's THE greatest singer/musican to have EVER lived. :)

R.I.P KURT! We love you, and always will!

  • when I was growing up in the 90's and first heard all apologies. I thought it was "Someone frees a bird. Choking on the ashes of a runaway." And it was my favorite part of the song and meant something to me and made sense when broken down.. And obviously one day listening to it realized it wasn't. Was mad lol. Not that mad though considering Nirvana was and is my favorite all time band and Kurt is my idol and such an amazing person and songwriter. Miss ya Kurt. You music will always live on.

  • But I will always heat it that way case it means something to me and especially at the time. Just how I feel. Still feels to right to be wrong.

  • if your going by liner notes, then its actually ;

All in all is all we all are.

  • It doesn't really matter though, a great song is a great song no matter what, and he may have even wanted that people wouldn't always be exactly sure what he sang or what his songs were about.

  • So, from what I've read here I take it that in the booklet of 'In Utero' it actually says "Aqua seafoam shame". However, knowing Kurt and his sense of humour, he might have put the wrong lyrics in there just to mess with our minds, when in reality he sang "I'll proceed from shame" (which would make a whole lotta more sense) or "Opposite of shame" or something along these lines.

  • That is a pretty cool theory but I've lip-read a few of the live performances most notably MTV: Unplugged and he definatley sings "Aqua seafoam shame". But I like that theory :P :)

  • Sometimes theories are a lot better than reality ;)

  • lool xD!

  • murried yeah!!!!

  • good song

  • this song is amazing! MARRIED!...BURRIED!

  • Different people sang the song and transcribed the lyrics for the Album.

  • Comment removed

  • Aqua seafoam shame lol

    "I'll proceed from shame."

  • is that what hes ACTUALLY sayin or it just SOUNDS like it? is that what u're sayin?

  • Da best song in the world and BTW, everyone is gay!!!!!

  • i love this song and i dont care what people think of kurt cobain all i know is that he was amazing i wish to meet him in heven or hell

  • Is it me or does the lyrics seem to change a bit whenever he sang it? It sounds a little different on unplugged.

  • Oasis tried to do a new "Hey Jude" with "All around the world". But I think Nirvana made it with that song.

Because of the fantastic mantra at the end of the song.

  • I wish the hole were in the hole rather than my bud.

  • what does this song mean

  • dude listen to the song and think if u were on drugs what would u sing about......kurt cobain had meny things wrong wit him like drugs and had a hard time so just listen and then come back to me and tell me what u have learned

  • BTW dude it. all alone is all we are not all in all is all we are cool

  • Wow love it so much good job

  • i fuckin love this song "what else should i say everyone is gay" it is true
