Actually the Rudd Government failed to deliver on its Carbon Emissions promise, not only that but worse is the reduction and means testing of the solar panel rebate - a move that is destroying that industry in Australia. Yes the liberals acted very slowly on climate change, but by encouraging people to install solar panels it was the best means to motivate people and communities to action. The government shouldn't have to do everything for us, merely set the conditions for us to do it ourselves.

I've just looked at the site. It says the NSW government has said that the Lexus is "not suitable for use as a hire car". Nothing saying the NSW government is necessarily opposed to hybrid taxi's or fleet cars at all. The ACT government (also a Labor government) has allowed them. What is needed here is a cohesive national policy.
