Obviously its not a ghost. The person made one of the family members eat then they used the move_objets on cheat to place them any where.

YES!

1. kill a sim or let them die

2. but the urn or tunstone in your sims lot

3. wait to 2-5 nights and the sims ghost will appear

some of the sims die of starvation an so they eat food when they feel like it. ghosts cant be seen during the day but at night you can see them flying around

No you cant exorcise the ghost but you can sell the tombstone/urn. Then the ghost will be gone.

Yes, the Ghost is acting like a normal Sim. Sometimes doors open, or you cant place 3 Sims on your 3-place-sofa. This is when you got a ghost. You can just take your telephone and call the exorcist or something (correct me if wrong) and he exorcises the ghost.
