i had just purchased one of these. i loaded some music and i can hear my music for a good minute or two before it wants to go to sleep mode. i cant keep it from going there you know of where else this can be fixed?

1. Make sure your headphones are plugged all the way in, meaning there is no silver still showing from the headphone's plug

2. (did not work) try with another headphones.

3. (still nothing) try see the sitting, or the clock maybe the sleep mode is on. :)

1. your icon my be in the last group (not like my) so just scroll to the right and see

2.if step one is not effective then connect your ipod to itune and update it or restart it

3. if nothing from this things work take your warranty to the market and they SHOULD give you a new one

@DareDevilz1000 will first see if you do the steps correctly:

1. tap clock

2.scroll to the right tell you reach "timer"

3.set the duration

4. and press start

5.now go home by holding you finger at the corner of the screen

6. with a simple tap like the lock button (on the top of the device)

now if you are doing all of the steps right then you have to reinstall the software again, still not working go to apple customer service with your warranty (even if you dont, they will fix it to you)

@DareDevilz1000 Check your settings. Go to Settings > Music > Sleep/Wake button. See how it is set up and make sure it is set to do what you want.

Also make sure you are not holding down the wake/sleep button too long when you hit it. You should be able to just tap it once quickly to do what you want without it pausing or stopping your track.
