I grew up playing Landstalker. It's still one of the best games I've played on ANY system.

Mean Bean Machine had some of the coolest VS music ever (I know it's puyo-puyo but hey, still sounds bad ass). Eternal Champions was bad ass, it was one of the only genesis games that didn't have that annoying twang that the genesis is known for in their sound. Gaiaries was a great game but very tough and had 2 good tunes! Landstalker...1 word "UNDERRATED!" Great game. comix zone had "meh" music imo. Good stuff though man. I could have picked out a better list though but you got taste :D

Well, this is a long medley but if you think you can do better then go ahead :) Comix Zone had a weak sound engine but there are some cool harmonies in there and it doesnt really sound like anything else.

The reason is, the heavy use of organ music that is rarely found in other castlevanias. Such a fitting statement. The genesis actually uses same exact chip as actual organs and that's why it is true authentic sound.

Some of the songs in Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine are remixed versions of those in Puyo Puyo. The track you had is a slightly altered Satan's theme if I'm not mistaken.

Well you are mistaken about that track, but listening to Puyo Puyo now I hear there are some very similar tracks. Overall I prefer DRMBM, because it doesn't hurt my ears when played loud :)

FYI Alundra was made by the same developers who created Landstalker. The lead desinger of Landstalker (and staff?) left Climax Studios and formed a company called Matrix Software, who is the company responsible for Alundra.

Landstalker is my Favourite Game on the Mega Drive too sad they didn`t make a real sequel to it [i don`t count those 2 Games Dark Stalker and Time Stalkerif i remember right]

Didn't they announce a sequel for the PSP though? That was like over a year ago, maybe it was cancelled. :/

Though it's more of a spiritual sequel I thought Alundra for PS1 was really good. Same kind of gameplay but different story and characters.

Yeah Alundra was really cool. I was surprised that someone else made a similiar Game like Landstalker. There was also another Game called Light Crusader on the MD but it was decent nothing near as Good as landstalker/ALundra. Unfortunatly the Sequel Alundra II was was awful i ddn`t liked it at all. Never heard of the PSP sequel gonna check it out thx for the Info.
