When I read about Pavol Demitra being one of the 43 passengers on board the Russian airliner that crashed during take off, I said to myself: "Oh no! Just what the Canucks need. News of another tragic loss of someone they knew." I heard Brad McCrimmon (who I remember as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1980s) was a good friend of Mike Gillis. I hope the Canucks won't get distracted by these tragedies when the season begins. Pavol Demitra. RIP. Thanks for the memories.
