Gates Foundation donates mostly to Planned Parenthood (largest abortion clinic in U.S.). See sheer violence & horror of abortion:
abortioninstruments (dot) com
abortionNo (dot) org
abort73 (dot) com - look under "videos" tab at top of pg - scroll down/watch 13th video titled, "This is abortion"
Why Steve Jobs doesn't donate to Planned Parenthood? Jobs is adopted - his biological mom didn't want him but abortion was illegal at the time of Job's birth. Gates isn't as nice as you think
@kamaboko1 I guess you dont use a computer or the net? PC would not exist without Apple. HTML was invented on NeXT computers. Steve invented the single most important tool in human history: the personal PC.
@realshompa Ughh...stop drinking the Kool-Aid kid. HTML was invented by Tim Berners-Lee using Objective-C. Objective-C was licensed by Jobs, not invented by Jobs. Nor did Jobs even have any communication with Berners about creating HTML. It just so happened HTML was created on NeXT computer. Don't go overboard with the credit to Jobs.
@kamaboko1 Its not that it "just so happened" the reason why Berners developed the first web browser in NextStep was because of the ease of developmental tools, ie object-oriented NeXTSTEP development tools. That wouldn't have happened if Jobs hadn't envisioned it as a better faster tool for developing apps.
You're belittling the contributions of Jobs. Careful.
So all the computers of today are running on the same architecture of IBM except the Mac computers? So IBM founded the basic architecture that Intel and Athlon uses for the micro-chips, and in return companies like Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc.. are only assembling those processors with other parts to make those IBM computers of today??? cause I always was wondering about this story about the history of modern computers. Anyone knows if that's right or can correct me???
@VideoDocR Old comment, sorry! IBM created the spec and the standards for systems, mainly so they could use off the shelf components and create different configurations with largely the same parts and just swap what they needed to swap to make them better at whatever task they were being built for. The primary thing IBM made was the BIOS, which others then reverse engineered so other companies could use the same components in generic systems. Intel created the x86 architecture we all use now.
@Ribavirin9 "Closed software policies"? OS X is based on UNIX. There's open sourced software available for OS X (hell, I'm using some right now). If one can write in UNIX, one can write in OS X. The older Apple OS flavors for sure were more "closed" but since the switch to OS X and Intel CPUs, the Mac is just as open sourced as any other flavor of personal computer. If you mean having to a Mac to use the OS, it was a model shared by Commodore, Acorn, etc. as well. Apple wasn't alone.
I will never forgive this guy for his closed software policies. I hate the dual standard that he has created. The situation with computers is as though half of the screw manufactured in this world were right handed and half were left handed. Apple's products make the world worse. You have to be pretty creative to build a great product that actually makes the world a worse place.
