Really, Turkish isn't close to Arabic or Hebrew in any grammatical sense. What is true is that because of the influence of Islam, Turkish borrowed many words from Arabic, some of those Arabic words are close to Hebrew, and that's why you see a similarity. Also, Ottoman Turkey ruled over most of the Middle East and also loaned words to Arabic, and some of those words also were adopted into modern Hebrew, for example-"Mangal," "Dugri", "Dunam"
@damyiaboy assalamualaikum, Semitic languages: Hebrew, Syriac & Arabic are one root for each word, so that they'r very similar, that what i studied in department of Arabic language/ college of Education, AL Mustansiriyah University in Baghdad
they sound different because a certain sound in hebrew is replaced in arabic by another sound, for example: s and sh, v and b, k and kh, if you'll listen yo'll see that when changing those it is quite the same. and they dont use the exact verb that is parallel to the verb in the another language, for example: the verb amala in arabic - in hebrew the main verb for work is avad, but theres another one which is less in use - amal.
dont be proud that u can talk arabian and hebrew i am arab from Palestine and we dont like hebrew here dont listen to theese 2 they cant even talk correctly.
farsi is much easier to learn than either of these two languages.. they just say salaam... and the girl teaching Arabic is gorgeous... it is funny to see these two together, given the propaganda that the media puts out about these cultures...
@Ali1993pl not true, i use السلام عليكم, hi, hey, soo.. whats up, and much, much more combinations every now and then... Btw fyi I'm almost 17 <--- not too old, more like young and green. "alsalam isn't being used" is just for u and those around u, and others who do not remember the value of salam, don't assume something does not exist just because you can't see it. Islam is actually valued by others, you just didn't notice that yet.. Bass allah yihdik inshallah..
Its the opposite, the girl in black looks like a typical arab girl. Most of Arab girls looks like her. The black hair, the skin colour and the beautiful eyes. Maybe that's why she choose to do the Arabic part : )
@WARDGL salam alaikom is an islamic greet for "Peace be upon you." but marhaban is just a normal yet formal greet for Hello. Sabbakhu al khair or Noor is a daygreeting for goodmorning or goodday. Masa al khair is a daygreeting for evening. You can greet a muslim or a non muslim with al these greetings. As long as you are being polite to them.
I absolutely love this video! It is a true spark of genius to allow others to see the similarities between the two languages. Hebrew is for those who have a cold all the time and need to blow their noses. That's just my opinion. Sorry if it is disrespectful for Hebrew speakers.
@Navodrock Myman this is because in hebrew are 2 kind of CH,one iz like regular Ch and other like arabic, but only jews that were born in Marocco and Yemen speak like this
They are two arabs! Even the "Israeli" speaker has an Arabic accent. I tell it as an Hebrew speaker as a native language. You can see a thick proof of it here: 1:29 , how she pronounce the R letter.
