Crazy zooming though... look up the "rule of thirds" - basically get it so the heli fills about 1/3 of the vertical space in the picture, then stay there. Change the zoom slowly if the heli gets closer or farther away, but otherwise don't touch it. It takes practice, but it gives a better sense of motion if you leave the zoom alone.
