Yes it does, doesn't it? There is something really soothing about the combined "voices" of the banduria, laud, and guitar that somehow evokes both a sense of quiet and companionship...
The music is Joey Ayala's "Dapit-Hapon", meaning twilight, or as the "afternoon arrives in the night". Three of the players had never played a banduria or laud before. This is the Cornell Filipino Association rondalla's very first piece, learning it only two weeks before the performance.
The bandurias and laud were crafted from scratch by Cliff Scherer who has dreamt of starting a rondalla. We are happy to make his wish a reality.

i used to paly banduria too when i was in highschool.. i do miss it..;)

For a first effort, this is really excellent. The music of the banduria evokes memories of one's childhood in the happy 1950s.
