Religion has fucked with our world since day one, Keep god out of the state, end of story, I beleive in god I live in Utah, I smoke pot I drink beer, Im not a mormon, I don't spread hate, but im aware of all the corrupt LDS leaders of the state of Utah that are imposing their beleifs on all Utah Citizens, you see it with the harsh Marijuana laws and the DABC, The truckloads of money they have to spend to keep change from happening. Makes me sick
Thank you for sharing that brother. The persecution and bashing will continue but we will stay strong in the faith. I was Catholic my whole life and I just joined the Mormon church 3 years ago. This is what I've gained since I joined the church. I've GAINED a testimony of God, the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that Christ lives and that through his Atonement, we can receive a remission for our sins. I know that God Loves ALL HIS CHILDREN, no matter what faith, In Jesus name. Amen.
@jzdapimp09 Wow, you went from one cult to another. I'm sorry that you apparently don't have the ability to discern one thing from another because you honestly just made a lateral move.
brother no matter how doctrine is practice it will all lead back to God>people say christianity is very messed up different belief's and so on but that is because there is more diversity of people example In the LDS testimony meeting the testimony all share the same tenets BoM is true,Prophet is true>however Christian Testimony would be personal relationship with Jesus and what he has done for you testimony doesn't mention anything else(ie book/prophets)
You're partly right Christianity IS in trouble, but the reason is because people actually believe in these ancient mythological LIES like 'Jesus' was anything other than a man who was crucified. So it's not surprising to hear Christians bash one another when you consider the fact that ALL of them are gullible enough to buy the biggest lie of all: that the world is governed by 'God'.
Instead of being 'Born-again', why don't you guys just GROW THE FUCK UP?!
Is Mormon doctrine the newest addition to the word of God? If you add: Joshua 6:18(a) - And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed; and the 2 Nephi 5:21 - acursing of "blackness"; with the 1978 allowance of afro-americans to obtain priesthood, would this mean that the Mormon priesthood/church is accursed? Is the bread accursed too? Was Simon the Cyrene (african) cursed, or was he priveleged to carry Jesus cross when he could not anymore???
the mormons call blacks cursed, and could only come to heaven as slaves, mormonism is racist, they have lightened up yet 50yrs ago you wouldn't have a chance with the church. LDS doctrine vs BOM contradicts itself over and over, not to mention vs the Bible. Why did Jesus come if JS was to revive His works 1800yrs later? Basically you are stating that Jesus(God was in error) and a man set it straight)one that couldn't get 1 prophesy right).
Appreciate the video! Keep up the good work. That's the thing I like about Mormons, they don't attack other people's beliefs in most cases but they say that you can believe what you want. While other people tell Mormons they can't believe in what they do or that they are crazy even though they don't know very much about Mormons or religion in general.
God doesn't lie, there is only one truth. You know what you're talking about bro. If only more ppl searched for truth with an open heart. Not some version of it they want to accept that helps them continue to live how they want to live. Its not supposed to be convenient. Religion is supposed to change your life. Prepare you for the next life. Be assured, we'll all kneel before our savior to be judged. Are you ready? I'm not.. not yet. Repentance is a turning your heart and will to God.
I fully agree! The fact that people believe in a type of religion without knowing where it came from or knowing anything else outside of the Bible is not right.
People really need to look at history in general and fit the pieces together for themselfs.
We are not born into a religion just because our parents beliefs and to say you believe in blind faith explains itself.
okay guys, let say joseph smith did bad things,, SO??? hes a man, in the old testament the prophets did bad things too zzzzz.... NO one can dEstroy MORMONISM because of our STRONG testimonies.. we pray GOD(heavenly father) in the name og JESUS
.. then u guys think its a false church common.. free to message me if u guys have questi9ions
Hamack then arose & in his hand he held a STONE which he pronounced transparent. Thro' this he could view things present & things to come...& behold discover HIDDEN TREASURES, secluded from the eyes of other mortals...Such was the clearness of his sight, when this transparent STONE was placed before his eyes...
Joseph Smith would put the SEER STONE into a HAT,and put his face in the HAT,drawing it closely around his face...(Ensign,Jul,1993,61)
u claim that Jesus, before he ascended to heaven, went to the Americas and revealed himself there. So the gospel really started in 2 places. Would you agree?
Explain what Jesus said in Luke 24: 47
Here is the problem with Mormonism....
u claim to be the same as me (I am a christian) and yet your gospel is different. u are unwilling to admit that there is any difference between what Joe Smith said and what the bible teaches. Until you realize you are deceived. No progress can be made.
why is 1/7 of the book of mormon word for word from the king james version of the bible..even the italic words in the KJB are in the book of mormon even tho the KJV is only around 4-500 years old
Revelation 22 vs 19 "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Once again obviously refering to the Book of Revelation, not the Bible. For further proof, consider this, The Bible DID NOT exist when John wrote Revelation, so how could it be refering to the Bible?
Revelation 1 vs 11 " "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last : and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea." Pretty obvious its refering to the book of Revelation that John wrote, not the bible.
jh aka "Just Hillarious" proclaims: "Paul said do not receive anyone..."
1) No where in the Bible does it say "do not receive anyone" preaching another gospel...
2) This is the typical tripe that "Pastors" play on the conscience of others seeking to know more about the Church of Jesus Christ...They like to rob people of their agency.
3) How are you so sure that you are not the one wallowing around the "different gospel" with the "different Jesus".
about the Catholic priests, celibacy was encouraged befor eit became a practice and it not really doctrine to Catholics, Some rites of the Catholic Church do have married priests and some protestant ministers who are married are permitted to be ordained as catholic priests and keep their families.
thats why its important to read the Bible, it is the Word of God. Joe Smith created a new "christ", led astray by an "angel of light"
2 Corinthians 11:13, "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light."
John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning."
"Ruins": about 1% of all of South American "ruins" have ever been excavated, and you are willing to cash in your spiritual stock portfolio for early retirement on the issue. you should really do more reading on this subject. There are mountains of evidence. The decalogue stone; Izapa, Stela 5 Stone with Hebaric Chiastic writings as well as the Tree of Life Motifs, Pyramidal Temples, Montezuma's assertion of Cortez being Quetzalquotal, etc...
TeetMauLau said: "1. Ruins": about 1% of all of South American "ruins" have ever been excavated 2. Montezuma's assertion of Cortez being Quetzalquotal" 1. 1% thats very specific, where did u get that # 2. real-world Mayanist would not read them that way, who r u R experts, LDS? 3. so? spin, spin 4. what does that have 2 do w/ it, its not BoM, its Maya 5. do u who is Q?
What? That the existence of steel, ruins, or DNA would convince you if found? It would not. You would just imbibe on another argumentative tangent.
DNA: You over simplify a complex scientific issue. Does your conclusion borrow from the overly simplified reductionistic thinking that you can employ some spit from a native of a local tribal casino and compare it with a Jewish immigrant from New York, and say "see no match!" (?)
1) "1% thats very specific, where did u get that #"
Todd B. Parker (Dept. of Ancient Scripture)
2) "real-world Mayanist would not read them that way, who r u R experts, LDS?"
This proves you never looked up my sources, nor do you wish to understand why a paleo-hebaric writing of the 10 commandments with an inscription of a bearded man holding tablets, were found on three seperate stones in three separate states. All pre-Columbian.
FC Falsifies: "your faith is grounded on 2 things...BOM...Joe Smith."
Uh, no it is not. It is grounded on the Saviour Jesus Christ. The BOM and J.S. Just confirms it.
"basic premise": What? that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The world's a big place and the Lord knows his sheep. Columbus understood that principle revealed in John 10:14-16, why can't you?
If the BoM is a fraud, the whole of Mormonism is a fraud... Hinckley said this, and prophets before him have made statements to that effect, so yes, it's grounded on JS. If JS lied, and there wasn't a restoration, Mormonism and it's teachings are probably false, though you can still excersise faith, believing it to be closer to God than anything else.
"explore" the facts please. The initial accusation asserts that my/our faith was "grounded" on J.S. and the B.O.M.
Your arguing from the wrong side of the river.
All Hinckley and Co. are doing is utilizing a very simple process of deductive reasoning to demonstrate Smith's devine calling. This is no different than you trying to argue Paul's case before King Agrippa.
Unless, it's fair for me to say then that your faith is grounded on Paul and his experience on the road to Damascus?
2) Contd..."real-world Mayanist would not read them that way"
Good grief...So tell me what a "real-world Mayanist" would be? And please entertain me as to how they would read the Izapa, Stela 5 Stone? And again never mind that Tree of Life motif strewn all the way down the center of this one ton stone.
3) "so? spin, spin"
I understand your speechless. How in the world can Hebaric Chiasms so "coincidentally" be found among the mesoamerican people.
Are you all of a sudden amnestic to the agenda here? Where do you think more of this "coincidence" came from with regard to the Pyramids and the burying of their Kings in these Temples? Are you too geographically impaired to see where the evidence of Middle East practices are rather manifest?
4) "do u who is Q?" (Quetzalquotal)
Let's see if this will burn your shorts little man...
F.C. Imbibing on the incredulous: "DNA lets see uR's"
Previously proving by simple theorem, you have no common sense logic in relation to this dynamic science. None of your critics are doing the research and you just bandwagon with the rest of the willful ignorant on this matter. But to help you a little further consider simply:
1) The Lehite clan were NOT Jews, and they were NOT the only people here in the New World.
F.C. a B.A. in B.S. " y can we find Cohan modal Y-chromosome?"
Proving common ancestry? Really? And how's that when both the science and math provides such infinitesimally small probabilities that some in today's Jewish community could be proven without a doubt a genetic line to good 'ol Aaron. Apparently your thesis assumes that the social dynamics of such said Jewish groups remain in relative static homologous groups without the threat of any genetic drift?
(Contd) But since these issues can be and have aleady been addressed by these ad hominem attacks by reputable scholars to which you voluntarily like to ignore, I will equally oblige answering them in the rather succinct manner that you were lambasting about. I suggest employing some better integrity like "some" of your cohorts and try to pick a singluar topic before going on the next, rather engaging in this rhetorical schizophrenia in order to escape topics in tangent...little-man.
"(Contd) But since these issues can be and have aleady been addressed by these ad hominem attacks by reputable scholars to which you voluntarily like to ignore"
ignore, y these so-called scholars wont even put their stuff 4 peer review knowing that it would get shredded, cowards
not sure if anyone told u but many mormons live in a reality where BoM is true & Maya r Lamanites, its called LDSworld
so uR experts only put their stuff in the safe cocoon of LDSworld, feel the love
F.C. Belly-aches: "tell me bigman, is uR Jesus really the spirit brother of satan?"
and blah blah blah...I think all your ranting is just a desperate attempt to drown out reasoning, so you can litter these limited space-posts with your rhetoric. But that's the convenience of a disingenuous critic like yourself: throw out a litany of questions like a machine gun, and when there is no room to answer all your tripe, you give yourself a paltry reward assuming that the issues aren't addressed
"I think all your ranting is just a desperate attempt to drown out reasoning"
listen, if u only can handle 1question @ a time, then show me where the official BoM museum is, I know that there r museums all over the world that have Biblical pieces
who is Satan, what is his origin? if you can answer that then you'll get the answer to the above question, if not I'll answer the question for you anyway
Roy questions: "who is Satan, what is his origin?" I'll make this simple. "In the beginning God created the heaven" (Gen 1:1) "For I came down from heaven" (Jn 6:38) "for my Father is greater than I" (Jn 14:28) "I am...the bright and morning star (Rev 22:16) Mystery revealed to you yet...No? Let the Bible connect the dots for you: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!" (Isa 14:12) Same place, same origins. One Good the other evil.
Sorry I already new the answer to that question, If I emailed it to you, that was an error, I thought someone was making the Satan/Jesus Brother connection and didn't understand it. thanks
FC (aka "False Christ") belies: "Joe Smith created a new "christ"
Really? Or just revealed the "Real Christ" vs your hellenized version of modern Christendom.
You quote 2 Cor 11:13 for convenience sake because it will say "false apostles". Has it ever occurred to you that Paul would have also argued the that by reason of simple deduction that there must be "True Apostles" as he explained in Ephesians 2:20? But wait, you deny the existence of continued revelation. You do have another Jesus.
This video asks many valid questions..Many of his criticisms of mainline christian denominations are valid as well but i would disagree with his defence of the mormon church: a church which at its very inception was already steeped in such falsehood, distorting old testament narrative to justify immorality (polygamy), and racism against blacks CANNOT be of God no matter how much years later the mormon church retracts, spins and tweaks its doctrines out of poltical or religious "correctness".
Mormons aren't bad people, they just haven't done their homework and will NOT look at their TRUE history. Part of the reason is that it's not readily available. All you need to do is read the journal of discourse, teachings of the prophet Joseph Smith, the History of the Church... all these books are referenced but no one ever peruses them. If you do, you'll realize the church is NOT the same yesterday, today and forever. B4 diving, it might make sense to know how deep it is. :)
Crazee notions: "they just haven't done their homework and will NOT look at their TRUE history."
More arrogance from those who think they are more informed than those of the LDS faith. This statement demonstrates how short-sighted people like you can be implying that "Mormons" are unaware of a pc and how Google works. In contrast, your statement above actually implies your ignorance by not realizing the sites dedicated to "Mormon" apologetics. Look into that before making foolish remarks.
"Steel": Rarely mentioned in the BOM. Again, you confuse the issue with "Steel" and "Swords" and draw erroneous conclusions that they are one and in the same and that there was a massive steel industry in the ancient Americas. Sorry, but that is just more faulty reasoning on your part vs what the BOM actually says on the topic. I suggest that you read into the "macuahuitl" and ask the important question why the conquistadors called these native weapons "broadswords".
F.C. continued Ignorance: (1)"that much steel would leave evidence"
(1) Show me where there was a massive steel industry going on in the B.O.M. ? There was no mention of steel after the Book of Jarom 420 B.C. You conveniently ignored my previous rebuttal several weeks ago regarding the "Macuahuitl"
(3) Boasting " the BoM is full of holes, its 2 easy, but embarrassing"
Yes, the embarrasment does belong to you as you adequately demonstrate such foolish and untrained perspectives.
Great job brother. I am so tired of seeing latter day saints getting slammed and lied about and persecuted. What have we saints ever done to anyone? Except help others and lead by example. Its just refeshing to see an inspiring truthful video out there you caputered the spirit well.
could it be that there are not enough mormons that will pull out all their BoM relics from their closets & donate them to their local museums?
mormons, don't be greedy, your country deserves to have all that "proof" displayed in all its regalia, so that those critics will stop slamming LDS, shut us up will ya? build those museums
BYU cranks out BoM archeologists every year, get digging, fill those museums. get started; on your mark, get set, go!
More FallaCy from F.C.: "did u know that JS couldn't translate Egyptian?"
Of course he couldn't. Not without the power of God manifest through the Urim and Thummim. Your interjecting the old argument of the Kirtland Egyptian Papers theory. The KEP had very little of Joseph Smith's own writing. It was nothing more then an attempt to match up previously revealed symbols to other meanings in other documents. This is an attempted straw man argument. Read the facts rather than the fiction.
Moses 5:16-41,Moses 7:8,Moses 7:22,Abraham 1:21-24 and Abraham 1:26-27 This is The Curse of Cain doctrine in Mormon scriptures TODAY every one go read you will see the seed of Cain getting cursed with Black skin and not being aloud to get the priesthood. And Joseph Smith taught the church that the slaves in the south were the sons of HAM who is HAM?HAM was Noah's son who married a Canaanite women on Noah's ark the Mormon scriptures teach that is how the curse stayed on the earth GO READ
ILLEGAL llegal: "go read you will see the seed of Cain getting cursed with Black skin"
Your confusing the "curse" with the "mark". If you were familiar with the Bible you will note that the "mark" was used as protection for Cain. In the BOM it was also employed to distinguish the groups so as not to mix seed outside the covenant. No differnet then Why Abraham sent out his servant from the cannanites to find a wife for Isaac among his own covenant people. Does this make the Bible racist?
WHAT IS THE MARK IN THE HOLY BIBLE!It was not Black skin so you are confused it dose not say the mark was black skin. But Mormon prophets say the mark is BLACK SKIN & its a curse,Go do your research & the Mormon scriptures say the same thing.Brigham young said"You see some classes of the human family that are black...will be cursed the longest of any one of the children of Adam.Cain...the Lord put a mark on him, which is the flat nose and black skin..."Journal of Discourses,Volume7,pages290 291
The name "Egypt" is NOT an "Egyptian-name", rather it is Greek in origin. The people of Egypt call their land "Khemet" which translates "The land of Ham". So here is where Egypt gets their popular culture and race which then extends throughout Africa, if you are remotely familiar of Egypt's place on the map.
(Just to be fair) Who else did Brother Brigham curse?: "If the Government of the United States, in Congress assembled, had the right to pass an anti-polygamy bill, they had also the right to pass a law that slaves should not be abused as they have been; they had also a right to make a law that negroes should be used like human beings, and not worse than dumb brutes. For their abuse of that race, THE WHITES WILL BE CURSED, unless they repent."
Weird kind of racism (remember - B.Y. was caucasian)
"The revelation that the church is talking about with respect to the Negro and the priesthood should have been sought 50 years ago -- not now when we are forced into looking for one. Even if a revelation should come now, we have compromised our position because it looks as if we have been forced into seeking it, which will be true."
- Donald Ira French, Jr., Mormon elder and writer, Time, Nov. 1, 1963
PolishAbinadi You racist Mormon apologist you no for a fact there is no white race being cursed with BLACK SKIN in the Mormon religion. All will be cursed if they don't repent that is true but will your skin change? No it will not Brigham young was preaching that Black people are cursed with a FLAT nose and BLACK skin.Brigham young never said that he put the curse upon Black people he said GOD did.SO stop your ignorant lies to try to justify the racist teachings in the LDS church.
Hi Friend! I can't wait till I run into you somewhere in a mall or something (it's possible - you are everywhere!). Perhaps we can have (herbal) tea together. I can also invite my African friends - you can then ask them in I am a racist (I have given you probably hundreds of quotes by Mormon leaders that show we are not racists and you still call me a racist).
Your comment made me realize something though - I have a huge, Polish nose - perhaps my ancestors were cursed for something they did wrong (like hiding their potatoes from the Russian invaders?)
:I have a huge, Polish nose - perhaps my ancestors were cursed for something they did wrong (like hiding their potatoes from the Russian invaders?)"
I have a huge Native American head and forehead and intestinal problems indicative of Native Americans. Perhaps I was cursed killing too many deer to make moccasins!
While not? If ILEGALPLAYER can make up curses, why can't I?
I agree (although this is just my opinion - I never read any confirmation that the Civil War was the result of the curse for mistreating the African race - but it just makes sense to me).
Interesting fact: Not even one Mormon died in the Civil War. Perhaps because they did not mistreat the Blacks (this is just my speculation).
iLLEGAL quote: "You see some classes of the human family that are black...will be cursed the longest"
Good job omitting who B.Y. was specifically referring to in this hack job of a quote you provided. It was Cain, who was to suffer the longest. If you had read the whole paragraph, you would have noted that the "curse" would come to an end. This is a far cry of typical racism when compared to your Protestant history of slavery to which the LDS faith always opposed. Also read John 15 and learn.
Further, if you were aware that the "curse" from Noah was "another curse" upon the son of Ham.."Caanan" to be the "servant of servants" (vs "cursed from the earth"). This is in direct connection to what Brigham Young was stating which also you ignored from your Biblical text. The lineage of Ham provided the Cainite bloodline which again B.Y. said was NOT to end. (Hardly a racist remark). The Hamitic line from Cush to "Mizraim" became the founding word for "Egypt" in the Hebrew tongue.
Gen10:6 "And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
It would help you to know that Ham's wife was of the lineage of Cain, "Egytpus" was her name signifying "Forbidden" because Ham had married outside the covenant. It was not uncommon that names were changed to signify change of status (i.e. Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Israel, etc). Consequently, the name of "Ham" and his son "Cush" both mean "Black". This is NOT exclusivley a "Mormon Definition".
iLLEGAL doesn't read: This is the type of arrogance that is so typical of uninformed people outisde of the LDS faith, yet seem to think you have it figured out. Yet it demonstrates how alien you are to your own Bible:
Hi Illegalplayer! I find your spam under almost every video that deals with the LDS Church. And the comments are always the same - same quotes, etc. Question: do you use some sort of special software or just copy and paste?
To everybody else - can anybody offer Illegalplayer a job? I am sure he is good with computers. The guy is obviously really bored! (although not bored enough to answer many question that he is asked, etc.).
I think that Mormons don't agree on the trinity. I am a protestant and I believe in a trinity...as catholics do.. so I think you are confused. It all boils down to interpretation. Mormons bring an invented book. please make a distinction.
Chad opinionates: "I think that Mormons don't agree on the trinity."
D&C 130:22 "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones but is a personage of spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us."
What you "think" and what the facts are, are 2different things. J.S. has cleared out the dogma of the grecian influence of the uninspired "Nicene" creed. A classic abomination of God's identity.
You hit the nail on the head in this video. There are many Jesus's and you have to ask the question Which Jesus do you follow? Will you follow The Jesus whom is the Only begotton Son of God or the Jesus who is the spirit brother of Lucifer?
More Fube Flub: "How did the latin name, 'Lucifer' end up in the BoM, which was supposed to predate the Vulgate?"
Apparently, you wish to ignore the idea that Joseph Smith spoke "English" and was familiar with the Isaiah account in the KJV. It's a simple translation I.D. in the language familiar of the day. No different than complaining why the term "book" was used in the O.T. when the word wasn't coined 400 years later. But you don't want to believe in either one. Your point is moot. Go away
Parley Pratt said that islam was preferable to Christianity because it denied the Trinity. Any Church which permits prayer to Jesus is MUCH closer to the truth than LDS or islam which do not - our differences pale before LDS resemblance to islam.
Sorry Joseph smith lied he did not see God the father Jesus said no man hath seen the father at and time and no man can see the father. as far as a prophet Luke 16:16 man The law and Prophets were until john.
kempojoe..you have no idea and you talk without any sense of open mindedness a very close minded satement if i ever saw one..your own belief betray you padawan
Ancestors of Nephites and Lamanites came from Jerusalem..i think your colour reference is a bit out of order..they are not pinky skinned like you gentile, they are tan to light brown, And some people in here are making up stuff about the mormon church like Elder Joseph..hes a joke,he is trying to turn coloured people against the church..Dont let he wolf in lambs clothing lead you unto eternal damnation.Like Satan he has no concern for your welfare.
"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so." (Journal of Discourses, Volume 10, page 110.)
Are you serious? seed this and seed that.chosen seed.your getting your lions crossed:)who said the seed of cain is in africa, who made that hogwash up..the journal of disclosure..never ever heard of it, is it a Dr Suess book, anyhow rethink your statement young lady..
If you are a moron and don't know about the Journal of Discourses then you really should, I think you people are supposed to. It was Brigham Young who came up with this hogwash, not me - don't shoot the messenger.
No, this is not the case. I have built up a reasonable knowledge of the LDS from both official LDS, pro-mormon and ex-mormon sources. I try not to read too much of the 'born again outreach' info although I must admit that some of it (a minority) is very well researched in respect of mormon literature and doctrine. I continue my research from all sources which began - believe it or not about 50 years ago.
Let's work it out, I used to pass the LDS meeting house on my way to school when I was 9and I was intrigued by the name so I looked them up in my enclopaedia & became even more intrigued (I couldn't quite grasp that ADULTS had believed Joe!) - so I went to the public library and borrowed some books on the subject & so it continues - it's not just LDS, I take an interest in other expressions of religion; Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism etc. But mormons will always be my the 1st 'love'!!
"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so." (Journal of Discourses, Volume 10, page 110.)
You failed to provide a source for your quote. And instead gave another quote, out of context. How can we trust someone who spins an obsolete quote for his own personal vindication?
I am not consciously 'spinning' nor quoting out of context and am not seeking vindication. You have to try to believe that and I understand your situation.
Esty -- I do not doubt that you are consciously spinning or taking quotes out of context. I will assume that many of these qI merely ask that you go to the original source of a quote and read it in full, before you make a critical statement regarding the LDS church.
Priests can marry, there are thousands of married priests (Eastern Rite Catholic priests can marry and ex-Anglican priests who have converted and become Catholic priests etd) this is not a doctrine, the Church can change this for the Latin Rite at any time. This guy doesn't know much about other religions
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
I respect your quest in searching for truth, but scripture does teach that it's okay for us to pay our pastors...please see 1Tim 5:18"For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward." Keep searching dude, Jesus awaits at your door knocking...."LET HIM IN BRO"
Blacksole Brigham Young and the LDS church taught that you are you one of the less valiant spirits cursed with a black skin! How do you feel about that my friend? The Book Of Mormon teaches that Lamenites were cursed with a dark skin for unrighteousness which turned white again when they became righteous.
Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, 1:61, 65-66.
"There is a reason why one man is BORN BLACK and with OTHER DISADVANTAGES, while another is BORN WHITE with great advantages. The reason is that we once had an estate before we came here, and were obedient; more or less, to the laws that were given us there. Those who were faithful in all things there [pre-existence] received greater blessings here, and those who were not faithful received less....
... "All took sides either with Christ or with Satan. Every man had his agency there, and men receive rewards here based upon their actions there... The Negro, evidently, is receiving the reward he merits"
LDS Apostle Bruce R. McConkie, son-in-law of President Joseph Fielding Smith - Mormon Doctrine, pp. 476-477, 1958 edition; p. 527 in the second edition in 196).
Those who were less valiant in pre-existence and who thereby had certain spiritual restrictions imposed upon them during mortality are known to us as the Negroes. Such spirits are sent to earth through the lineage of Cain, the mark put upon him for his rebellion against God and his murder of Abel being a black skin .
"And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them."

Amen.

Was Simon the Cyrene (african) cursed, or was he priveleged to carry Jesus cross when he could not anymore???
vicambulatorious 1 year ago
the mormons call blacks cursed, and could only come to heaven as slaves, mormonism is racist, they have lightened up yet 50yrs ago you wouldn't have a chance with the church.

This is an attempted straw man argument. Read the facts rather than the fiction.

The name "Egypt" is NOT an "Egyptian-name", rather it is Greek in origin. The people of Egypt call their land "Khemet" which translates "The land of Ham". iLLEGAL quote: "You see some classes of the human family that are black...will be cursed the longest"

Gen4:11 Cain "cursed from the earth"
Gen 4:15 "the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him."
Gen 9:18 "...Ham is the father of Canaan."
Gen 9:25 "And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants..."

(sorry - spamming really bothers me)

I think that Mormons don't agree on the trinity. I am a protestant and I believe in a trinity...as catholics do.. so I think you are confused. It all boils down to interpretation. Mormons bring an invented book. please make a distinction.
chadandbarby 3 years ago
Chad opinionates: "I think that Mormons don't agree on the trinity."
D&C 130:22 "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones but is a personage of spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us."
What you "think" and what the facts are, are 2different things. J.S. has cleared out the dogma of the grecian influence of the uninspired "Nicene" creed. A classic abomination of God's identity.
TeetMauLau 3 years ago
Mormons don't agree on the trinity. They believe that the mormon dog dog, the mormon jebus, and the holy mormon poltergeist are 3 separate beings.
And which the BoM contradicts itself and the D&C on.

You hit the nail on the head in this video. There are many Jesus's and you have to ask the question Which Jesus do you follow? Will you follow The Jesus whom is the Only begotton Son of God or the Jesus who is the spirit brother of Lucifer?
REVPIPSTER 3 years ago
Rev:"Jesus who is the spirit brother of Lucifer?"
Gen 1:1 God created the heavens and the earth
John 6:38 "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me."
Rev. 22:16 " I Jesus...the bright and morning star."
Isaiah 14:12 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!"
So "Rev" does Isaiah have it wrong also? Would you too have cut him asunder for such doctrine?

Too bad for you, Horny Joe, Bang 'em Young, and LDS Inc, Lucifer is not a proper name for satan.
en.wikipedia d o t org/wiki/Lucifer
How did the latin name, 'Lucifer' end up in the BoM, which was supposed to predate the Vulgate?

"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so." (Journal of Discourses, Volume 10, page 110.)

If you are a moron and don't know about the Journal of Discourses then you really should, I think you people are supposed to. It was Brigham Young who came up with this hogwash, not me - don't shoot the messenger.

U don't know em either, just the quotes you see on random sites.
StillSmallVoices 3 years ago

Estaban333 3 years ago
Mormons used to kill mormons who married blacks - it was a sin only payable by blood atonement.
Estaban333 3 years ago
Estaban -- that is untrue.

No this is a quote by Governor Brigham Young Feb 5th 1852 to the Joint Legislature. "It would be a great thing to kill them.."
Estaban333 3 years ago
Esty-- Please provide a source for your 'quote' and place it in context. B/c for all we know who ever said this may have been referring to you.

You failed to provide a source for your quote. And instead gave another quote, out of context. How can we trust someone who spins an obsolete quote for his own personal vindication?
ScottsdaleStylee 3 years ago
Out of context?? Would you like to provide the context for this quote?
Estaban333 3 years ago
Yes, please do.
ScottsdaleStylee 3 years ago
I am not consciously 'spinning' nor quoting out of context and am not seeking vindication. You have to try to believe that and I understand your situation.
Estaban333 3 years ago
Esty -- I do not doubt that you are consciously spinning or taking quotes out of context. I will assume that many of these qI merely ask that you go to the original source of a quote and read it in full, before you make a critical statement regarding the LDS church.

Priests can marry, there are thousands of married priests (Eastern Rite Catholic priests can marry and ex-Anglican priests who have converted and become Catholic priests etd) this is not a doctrine, the Church can change this for the Latin Rite at any time. This guy doesn't know much about other religions

John 3:3

Joseph Fielding Smith quote continued

Book Of Mormon where God changes skin colour of The once WHITE Lamenites
2 Nephi 5:21
"And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them."

Ask yourself why did Brigham Young teach those things in the Journal of Discources.
Come to grips with the truth that the BOM is not Mormon Theology. Email me if you would like the rundown on why? But you got to be willing to investigate it otherwise dont waste yours or my time. I doint want to know what you think and feel but what you know.
