In the manga hinata actually confesses to naruto, and sakura is about to talk to him about her feelings for him. Naruto realized hinata's love when she yelled in the face of pain "I LOVE YOU NARUTO!!!" Then naruto got shocked, and the moment pain hurt hinata naruto rocketed to 9 tails. Then meet his dad....ok if i say anything else i'll be giving an even bigger spoiler then i already have.

During the time he met his dad, he talked to him breifly and learned a few things. His dad re-did the seal and the 9-tails is now under control again. Naruto beat pein by using logical questions and other boring crap that i skipped over. After that the kages began to move and are now preparing for a war. (Yeash, i'm skipping parts. But what i said is the main jist of the last 20-30ch.)

Not really... The most recent manga has had a few characters say they love each other up to this point. but the only couple that got together was Kurenai Yuhi and Asuma Sarutobi. But wile Kurenai was pregnant, Asuma Died... so that was short lived
