just to let you know i also have the halo wars limited edition and have beaten it.... and if you play through the first few missions, the ships boarding AI (serena) mentions the Pillar Of Autum has taken heavy damage which as you should know is the cruiser Master Chief is on. but throughout the missions afterwards you play with a handful a spartan so Master Cheif is not the only spartan left... i just wanted to clear up the matter.

you didn't miss much H2 was garbage for story ...multi was good tho...the story in halo got botched when they introduced the prophets and brutes if they would have left them out the game would have probably been much better in H2 and H3 for better plot development they could have gone into more detail about what the covenant did to the earth and had a more epic war...also in H2 and H3 the flood was not as scary as in H1 even replaying H1 recently i found the game tobe much more jumpy thanH2andH3

Ok you are not allowed to say thing that are not true. Yes John was taken by the government and replaced by an android but he was not taken because he "showed signs to withstand the transformation" he was taken because he was a lowly kid from a poor family. Also There was never a red vs. blue. That never happened merely a choice for multiplayer online. John is the only surviving spartan from the first batch of spartans. All the others died defending Reach which fell to the covenant.

I will admit, First Strike isn't the best in the series. Contact Harvest and Ghosts of Onyx are good though. The Flood is so-so (it's based on Halo 1). ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, DO NOT READ FALL OF REACH. IT'S A BUFFET OF GRAMMATICAL STUPIDITY.

Yes, it has the background information, and yes, story-wise it's okay. But there are a ton of distracting errors in grammar and spelling. Not to mention some facts are inconsistent.

However, I will not say it's amazing. I only use that if a book is exciting(FoR does), has an intelligent story(FoR does), and has a meaning that goes beyond the surface(FoR doesN'T). Sorry Hannz, but Halo:FoR just doesn't meet my personal criteria.

master chief is a sparten so he is more steronger, and its not really a sheild ucarry it around and can only use it once
