Hi :). Is there a way to show black at the bottom of the board (nearest us) when you play that color ( and win :) on your games? LOVE your videos thanks :D!
First of all it's my channel, so I should be able to show any games I please, you don't have to look at them. Second I do show on this channel a game I lost against Antoaneta Stefanova in the 3-game final of the 2008 Mind Sports Games Blitz.
@ChessQueen thats too complicated to follow your explanation is not so good as in your other videos....i mean if you were to follow the complications after the sacrifice, you were strong enough anyway to need to explaining
I liked the video and the comments very much but the last move 24.- dxc5 was not the most beautiful one. 24.- Rg6 ... 25.- Rh6 and 26.- Qxh2 is a nicer end. :-)
Yes it's true that ending was possible and very beautiful, but I was in a competition and saw certain victory with the move I played and that was good enough for me.
Nice attacking game. White is helpless! My repertoire is quite similar to yours so maybe this also will be another point for me;) I like the speed but I can understand that some people have trouble with it. Just watch it again then;)
Just want to say it's very cool that you are here making videos. I'm a beginner and I enjoy them alot. It's nice to get a female perspective/analysis on a game usually dominated by us men. Intelligence is sexy! ;)
Oh dear... Alexandra, OK, I know that are all this moves very logical to you, but anyway, your opponent needed more than one hour(!) for just one move and you jump from one to another like a butterfly... Please, have a mercy!
Alexandra, I don't like your two recent postings. They sound too hurried and badly edited. It's a minor problem though, since I enjoy hearing how you thought about the preperation, your thoughts in the games too. btw, I would like to thank you for an important thing. I quit playing chess ten years ago. I have regained my interest in chess because of your youtube videos. Cheers chessqueen!
Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoy my videos! The "hurried" speed in which I speak is due to the YouTube 10-minute limit, I'm always worried I won't make it, as you can see most of my videos are right at the limit. I create slower videos for my DVD's.
Ng5 left white with almost no options. Poor Bc1...
And double-edged Nc5
P.S. BTW, is it technically possible or aesthetically feasible from your side to insert some subtitles? May be it is my own lack of concentration, and it is, of course :-), but sometimes i am getting lost between variants and main line, when i am looking to such videos without sound.
Subtitles is not the best solution, I'm working right now on an even better solution so you can follow both the game and the variations, should be ready pretty soon.
i absolutely loved this game. thank you so very much. i hope i get to see you in person some day.

other wise...when you will visit us 2014.
i will tell our girls to castle quennside with you -always!!-,while you will lose the game by three kind of checkmate,in just 21 move.

I found quite annoying that all the games she shows are alway her winning game. what about her losing game

Alexandra, I wish the board is flipped so we can watch the video on your viewpoint. (since in this game you played the black pieces).

You better write there: Andreas Huss (pink) vs. Alexandra Kosteniuk (purple)

hi alexandra thank you for uploading these videos i love them!
can I ask do you know the reason(s) why there are separate titles and tournaments for women and men chess players?
obviously chess is not a physical game at all so I dont see why male and female players cant all play together.
trixapete 2 years ago
Yes certainly there are very good reasons for that. Since it's a long discussion I will make a post very soon on my chess blog.
