Dang, Pappy, you've done your homework! You have earned an "A+" in science! The pres gets an "F"! Maybe we are reaching out to the muslims over energy, like NASA is reaching out to muslims for outer space.
I'd like to see more of a global effort with fusion. It almost seems too daunting a task for one nation. We've been putting $ into research for 40 years. On the one hand you have to start asking yourself "is commercial scale fusion even a viable possibility". But on the other hand we can't stop trying because the alternatives indeed are pretty dodgy. Solar actually does become more efficient year by year. But even if it were 90% efficient it would *still* take an awful lot of acreage.
...but what they don't tell you he gave Spain the contract for all this money !!! ...Thats right !!! all our taxpayers money is going to ANOTHER foreign country again !!!! HE"S NOT EVEN HIDING IT ANYMORE !!!!!!
Great video Pappystu, It is hard to understand fully what you are saying, words to big for me to understand. You are soooo smart, sure hubby could explain it to me, but he does not watch YOU-TUBE, HE JUST WALKS ON BY.
Great info. However, Under pressure is BEYOND words... Every aspects of our problem and solutions... I'm thinking always about kick backs and consultations of political views/slash "government" and "Private sector".. Soooo, half ass...(excuse my language...)
@DubbleLzNhell In my 4 decades of Power Generation I worked 3 years in Geo... I is an interesting application... Limited availability with serious EHS concerns and highly corrossive though down well caustic injection helped a great deal... I'm sure we are much closer to fusion than beaming energy from space somehow...
@MrRandomWritings Solar is useful in limited applications but far from feasible as a large scale solution primarily for engineering and economic reasons... It is a shame to witness this window dressing which is potentially political kick backs rather than approaches which would benefit not only us but the entire world for that matter... However what is good for us is not necessarily good for the economic powers that be....
I m going to make a video response for ya, pilgrim. I hope your viewers will consider my message. Because you are not talking about some obvious solutions.
@MysterEy1 I think a multiple approach solution is most likely to bear fruit of success... As long as they are technologically, logistically and most importantly economically sound... Unfortunately for decades now they have been politically and special interest orientated instead... If we had back in the 70s when the problem was evident incorporated a Manhattan style project with full resources applied we'd likely been in much better shape today...
This is definitely the kind of info that needs to be made well known, and then the people can publicly ask politicians WHY THE HELL AREN'T WE USING THIS?!
@BasicModelling I knew this went a bit to indepth but felt I had to explain the technology a bit to go into what research is needed... Yes if we could tap into the energy expended by tubers world wide we'd be fat... LOL
@PappyStu Well, my channel is one long repetition.. but I don't care, as they're all individual builds, as far as I'm concerned1 It's not showing off the models, they're just reviews of the kits.. :) But I don't post so many videos on CurtisWildebeest anymore.. for the same reason as you.. :)

Things like this always make me wonder about that "Super Collider" project they had planed to build in Colorado, and later did in Texas.
Did that concept just fizzle out? Is it actually doing some good?...ANY good?
Am I way off base? Should I shut up now? heh heh.
slyflight 1 year ago
@slyflight I have never heard of power generation concepts in their regard... I believe they are primarily for sub-atomic particle research...

What about GeoThermal Energy? Also...you could put up solar receptors in space that get the maximum energy harnassed....
