This is my second visit to Llangollen steam stars week and it`s get`s better and better(driving experience amazing, my schoolboys dream at 60+)To all the staff and organisers my hearty THANKS.
Fantastic I've always wanted to go on a steam train n it aint far away as I live in Rhosymedre- Llangollen is a very beautiful place n I'm proud to say I'm from around this area.
Aint youtube great for a row! I agree with you, it should never have closed. Wud have been better closing Dovey Junc-Barmouth Junc. The Ruabon was a more direct route. It will survive, like all private railways they have their own way and all preserved lines are different. There are a few `out of the way ` lines that have done very well over the years!
Great line, all rebuilt after Dr Beeching flatten it. I sure the extension to Ruabon junction is protected and a future project after Corwen. This would be great for rail tours, local commuter traffic and even freight (slate, timber)
Like I say, keep an eye out on the website, however we are looking more like 2009. If of course you could offer any help then please come forward, if you can only post negative comments then please refrain from doing so
Don't see how being 'stuck in the middle of nowhere' as you put it makes it a dump, one fo britains most senic railways IMHO.
Corwen has been a slow work in progress which is slowly gathering pace, check out the railways website for more info. A new station will be provided for at Corwen so that ain't buggered, I suggest you get your facts right before posting absolute rubbish
I enmjoyed the trip up the line, as I have by train. I rode the mountain bike along the trackbed from Corwen to Glyndyrdwy before the line extended. Nicely done. Diolch yn Fawr!
A great look around thank you!

Very good video there. One of the first railways I went to as a kid, and I was there recently for the Steel, Steam and Stars gala. Keep it coming!
