I still like Load and Reload. Garage inc is also one my favorite albums. I am really disappointed with st anger and death magnetic.. st anger sucked and death magnetic was better but the producer ruined the mix.
No one's probably gonna read this, but I’ll say it anyway cuz I feel at least 1 person will. I'm a young designer and graffiti artist, I know there's a million out there but I feel like my art has a unique individual style.
If you just take a min and give me a chance I'll make you a believer. I would love nothing more than to have a loyal following on youtube. If anyone who reads this could press the "THUMBS UP" others will see it. Just a simple button push will make a huge difference.
Anyone who says Load sucks has ZERO taste in music. Sure, it was different but it showed the bands versatility and it is a hell of a good listen when I'm in a certain mood. I think some of Metallica's best tunes come from Load.
Woodstock was the temple of Rock,i think Metallica deserves a place with all these great musicians who create rock.RESPETCT to all of them and RESPECT to new generation gods METALLICA.
@J03XC0r3 I was just referring to the guy that said "see 2:18". You don't have to wait that long to figure out if he's using a pick or not in this particular song.
@bahadir33 drummer lars ulrich. best heavy metal drummer ever. bassist jason newstead. no longer with the band. now its robert trujilo. trujilo is much better and a lot more fun 2 watch live
James exposing his soul, tortured it may be. So proud of him finding some peace. I think it was being in Metallica caused alot of his addictions. They sound like a divided band at this point. Still a good performance
@fridogg Ya a good peformance, but still the worst times in Metallica history, not saying its bad, but worst compared to the old Metallica, or the new one. (just my opinion)!!!
@skycap93 Totally agree with you, 1999 and 1989 Best james vocals (for mi), now i think he lost his power, i mean, if you see his live performance of this song in the present you realize that he can't reach high notes, he is gettin older, but nothing erase what he did in the past like this awesome performance!
@juanmacapo1 I agree, 1989 was one of the best years of his vocals...more than just reaching high notes, even just the quality of his voice has been declining--I mean its still awesome--but analyzing it now, sometimes he sounds very nasaly and very flat on the high notes...but you gotta give him props for going out there and giving it his all at a high level at his age!
@tamertamo Well thats because guys like Dio, Dickinson, and Halford are vocal gods in metal. Even though Hetfield's voice was impenetrable in the 80s and early 90s, the intense touring and heavy drinking they did for the Justice and Black albums led to the blowout of his voice. The same happened to Mustaine, just not as bad.
the reasonw hy some ppl hate load and reload is becuz they r metal fans not MATELlica fans if u see what im saying if u r a metallica fan u like them for their music and nothing else matters haha i love that song
@StrappingYoungLawd Hey opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. They got a lot of newer fans who like that pussy ass shit. But, us fans from back when they was Metallica NOT "tallica w/ no Metal anymore see Load as shit!
@TheWhitevoices Hey good music is good music, it's not the vintage metallica sound but they're undeniably good songs in and of their own right. I love the heavy stuff as much as the next guy but there are some absolute gems on those two albums.
@StrappingYoungLawd I agree, but I used to like all they had on an album, I'd buy one of their albums blindly knowing I'd love it all! They lost that with me. I liked 3 songs off of this! They lost my respect how they sucked the mainstream dick, and Cliff would be rolling in his grave, in fact spinning at how lars has become.
@TheWhitevoices Keep in mind he blew his voice out and can't do the vocals of old anymore. Cliff had an eclectic taste in music himself, if he were still around Metallica would have strayed from the thrash template anyway. Yeah Lars is a fool these days but at the end of the day Metallica were the band who really put heavy metal on the map, they were the first to really have that calibre of success and they paved the way for everything that followed. They found themselves in a position where....
@StrappingYoungLawd They WAS tthe most influental band I agree, but they are has beens, most who go to see them, go for their old shit, and i was there he tries to "Sing" like he does now on old shit and kills even their own older shit. I seen them in 87 and 2 yrs ago , I spent more time bs'n than watching that sad sight!
@StrappingYoungLawd I loved tham and Slayer, and guess what? Slayer still destroys the house, both came out in 83' Slayer don't suck media assholes to get more fans they play wtf they want , so I faded off metallica, I was a hardcore metallica fan, knew all the words still do, had posters everywhere. I just think they are has beens!
@TheWhitevoices ...they had a ton of money and out of principle of course they would look to protect it i.e Napster. Metallica were, are and always will be pioneers. Total respect and homage to the single most important metal act of this or any generation.
@StrappingYoungLawd Money is the key word, it's all they care about now, they redid themselves just get more fans and said fuck the old fans, ie turned Poser for the load album. made sure their songs was fit for radio lyric wise and length, completely turned into mainstream media punks, shit Hetfield and Cliff insulted in the video Cliff 'em all... !
@TheWhitevoice Poser? The lyrics in these songs are hardly radio friendly and neither are the song lengths. Metallica did what all great bands do, they got popular. That's it. They went supernova and left everyone else trailing. Now they've lost their kudos? Whatever.....good talking to you
@StrappingYoungLawd Only one I give respect to is Kirk, Jason even left cause they was pussies! He wanted a side band that played shit w/ balls! James and Lars said be w/ Metallica or go he left lol, now they have some Taco!
@StrappingYoungLawd Cliff's influence was shit like Sanitarium, the melody, that was cool, but James has lost it, his lyrics are not as good, the newest album was fast but simple ass riffs! They thrown together, not a master piece like Justice was. Bob Rock & Greed killed metallica!
Nice performance, I like this song! Metallica makes the songs they want to, if some fans don't like it; to bad for them, dont waste your hate on the band.
And Jason Newstead played wtih the fingers it seems, interesting.
hetfield is a metal god for sure, theres no question. 1000 years from now when we're all dead and buried people will still talk about how great of a singer/rythm guitar player he is. best frontman ever.

@ Vargisisking - i do so agree that Metallica has set the standard for these beautiful departures. i would only add that Tool is approaching them. i love all of this shit
@BangYerHead well he didn't just ditch them "for this other band" it was a question of him not being let to show his creativity, the material he wrote would almost never be taken into account and James and Lars made all the decisions. This other band was just a part of this.
what other metal band can create a song so different from their "typical" metal stuff and still be very deeep, emotional, and great all at the same time. none, thats why metallicas the best there ever will be.
@vargasisking my words. And everyone who claims they sold out and shit like that is either ignorant, or stupid or INCAPABLE to achieve something like this (look at slayers remarks about metallica - "dont change blah blah")
so peaceful...for me Load/Reload are oasis of disconection from the darkness of the world...God i hate the fuckers that says that new Metallica sucks...they suck...Metallica turned into artists that expres themselfs from ... thats why Metallica is my musical LOVE
i still love this one sosa much wish i waz there.

@SgtChikoli
Actually, Jason ditched them for his other band, but it's okay. Personally Jason was my favorite of Metallica's bassists.

@vargasisking Agree 100% theres so much good hard thrash metal, then you have everything else in the genre in rock to blow you away from THEM.

@vargasisking You should listen to Down...Specifically their track "Nothing In Return (Walk Away)".

@vargasisking my words. And everyone who claims they sold out and shit like that is either ignorant, or stupid or INCAPABLE to achieve something like this (look at slayers remarks about metallica - "dont change blah blah")
