you don't want your drum heads like that, it takes away your talent because they are so damn muffled stick to open tuning trust me you wont regret it.
@careydouble22 I too used to muffle my drums like that cause I sucked at tuning. Then I did a lot of tuning and got good at it (basically you just tune your toms way higher pitch than you really think they should be) and i never muffled anything ever again. I barely even muffled my kick drum after that.
Tuning toms high makes them sound awesome. Especially when you play with other musicians. They can sound kinda ringy when you're playing alone, but when the bass and guitar kicks in, fantastic.
your princecaspian (i forgot the number) right ? .. I planning to buy ZBT's for my new cymbals because my cymbals is pretty beat up ..and Pst5 crash for my secondary crash .. what do you think about it ?
uhmm . . honestly?i think zbts sucks i mean they crack easily compared to my paiste. .Ive tried a pst5 and i think its so much better. . but i think its better if you will try them both and choose which suits you best. . :-)
zbt is okay, depends on which ones, and the quality is inconsistent. the 14 crash is decent. the 18 crash ride is really good actually. the 13 hi hats aren't very good tho. the splashes and china's aint too goos either.
only the 20" Ride of the ZBT Series kicks asses, i got the whole set and i have to say: It sucks, because after a half year the 14" und 16" Crash is done. But the Hihat and Ride are still unbrokenly and the Sound of them is nice. So buy only these two parts of the Set and you will be happy :)

trust me when i say u dont want those cymbals. I know cymbals are expensive, but i love my paiste pst5's because they are very bright and have a high pitch, the zbt's are like garbage can lids that take the force of a truck to work. I know the pst's are more expensive, but if you want to have fun hitting your cymbals, than the pst's are right for you. I would not reccomend paiste 101's either. sabian b8's are alright though.

hes using a cheap version of EVANS ec2 tone control rings there super cheap and can change your drums sound in seconds. there like 5 to 6 bucks :)
