Most likely Mylow recorded an entire 7-minute clip so that he would have a seamless, perfect audio track. Then he replaced the first 4 minutes of the VIDEO ONLY with his intro clip where it speeds up and with a few funky looping clips where it was speeding up and down. He had complete liberty to make as much noise with and air gun as he wanted, because there was no sound to worry about. That explains the speeding up in the beginning of the clip.

And the most beautiful aspect is how he did the entire shoot with no tripod and got all the frames to align perfectly! Shear artistry. Mylows replication works on the same principle as Alsetalokins OCMPMM - and TK knows what that is ;-)

Wasn't there a series of requests for a full-view tripod-mount camera shot from the get-go? On the last day the Acme salesman must have passed by to sell him some more magic beans, some of those "holes in the wall" that you just throw into place, and the Acme tripod kit in cyan blue. I always wanted the telephone where you could punch the person on the other end of the line in the nose.

Perhaps somebody else bought the Acme big purple electromagnet and associated giant anvil?

Well, it's a "replication" for sure. Johnson's motor didn't work, and soon Mylow will figure out that his "replication" is exact, in that regard: it won't work, either.

But the real mystery is why anybody believed it would. Mylow's replication has absolutely no "face validity"--that is, there isn't any coherent theory of why it should work, and clearly from looking at the way he "starts" it, it's just a circular SMOT. Why not do the control experiment I suggested, before getting all excited?
