As for taxation: if it were to become 'legal' here, while I'd be inclined to grow my own (same reason I grow grapes and hops), I'd be happy to buy it if a portion of proceeds went towards education. As a state, we barely provide public education funding as it is. I'd be glad to see more money going towards it.

I don't partake, but I hope this both (a) makes it on the ballot (and that the activists do a good job of shaping good legislation), and (b) it passes. I enjoy the freedom to both drink and purchase beers as a commodity as well as home brew my own; it's hypocritical to keep marijuana prohibited when its effects are, typically, less destructive than alcohols can be (when abused or used by the wrong people).

My point? Come on, Colorado. We can do this.

@scottyraw13 That's is the problem. Unions cant have it legalized because they cant make money off a medicine that people can just grow themselves. They would loose far to much profit considering there are over 200 medical conditions that can be treated with marijuana!
