I saw this show in London. My main reason for going was the wardrobe by Alexander McQueen, as I am less interested in dance. The clip seems the same as I remember the show. I was expecting more dance but was blown away by the visual of the show and the work of the lighting designer. (Lighting done by: Michael Hulls, lighting designer for the Olivier award-winning PUSH)
I am a big admirer of both too, but I must agree with succotashmybalzac .. Actually this clip seems slightly different from what I remember, maybe the show has improved - as it was, it was almost painful to watch at moments, it just looked like a series of potentially good ideas poorly put together. And there was so little dance!
the trailer looks far better than the show itself... that i saw in London... no matter how much i love sylvie guillem and the work of russell maliphant... and i appreciated their effort for "art"... the lighting was beautiful and very well crafted, the alexander mcqueen costumes were amazing, the story was intriguing.... but somehow the usually "connaisseur" audience was sleeping :s
