any person who will pay their top dollar for "mma" training should at least watch YOUR suggestions because its common sense, NO ONE is invincible yet picking out the specifics is just what the arts should be taken out of in terms of context towards self defense
you are good at what you get to explain, i believe in what you say generally because in this modern world it seems probable to erase these ancient abilities, but you, ill give judos because you speak truth, training shouldnt be held down to strikes and blocks if theres no scenario nor questions being permitted to see light to the advncement of the art itself as well as combatic applications
as a male self defense instructor i have found it was often difficult to even begin training some women who had already been traumatized by a male attacker. i was trained and likewise generally train all my students in a high energy and fairly "tough guy" environment. this does NOT work well when trying to specifically self defense to women who have a traumatic past, or maybe just aren't into that scene. i didn't see any actual techniques here, but i really like the overall approach. best wishes
@swjk3 Why do you say that? I'm curious. I'd like a chance to change your mind. If you're referring to the jumps and throws in the trailer, that's just for show from my job running a performance team.
@123456789mischief - Thanks for your comment. I'm really trying to put something together that will benefit women, and specifically mom's with small kids. There is a lot of preplanning to being safer. Even the right techniques won't always work. The key is staying out of trouble to begin with. And there is a lot more to that people think. You're right. Krav Maga is one of the better options, so is brazilian Jujitsu, boxing and kali or silat. Good luck. Keep training!

only issue I have with the BJJ is they like to go to the ground to quick. in the ring that works on the street not such a good idea. I thnk unfortunatly it is going the way of TKD judo and others where it is becoming less self defence and more about the gold medal on the wall. I was old school TKD 6-7 years to a black belt. as a father I have to hold my nose and look for the school that will teach something close to self defence
@123456789mischief - I'm so embarrassed! Don't know what button I pressed! I couldn't agree with you more! But when it comes to Self-Defense there are not a lot of good options. BJJ is a better option than many others. I also "hold my nose". I am old school TKD as well - Master S. Henry Cho if you know him.
@DeviProf The post was there when I replied I was reading it when I clicked the remove button. I don't dislike the bjj I just see it heading the way of the sport clubs. worst thing that can happen to an art/system.
Not familiar with master cho but there are so many now its hard to tell. I was origanaly under JC Kim. he would come up every 6-8 months for gradings. I actualy got crap for kcking to much, told me to go do some boxing. that was 26 years ago now.
