the pass shouldnt look like a move. right now you are telling the audience that you are doing something tricky. try to disguise it as squaring the cards.

I AGREE. You shouldnt shake the deck as th pass can be the most obviously spotted sleight there is... a riffle pass or a ribbon pass should be the only kinds of pass which any other movement is used.
