I think it was the pee wee hockey team episode of SOUTH PARK that had a guy who talked like a typical comedy trailer voice-over and would actually scratch a record when he said something "wacky", first time i heard someone make fun of that overused convention.
@luvandbaby The first sound in the Kris Kross song Jump has the scratch sound that lasts almost 2 seconds. I don't think its possible to even drag a needle across a record and take that long (without it not sounding right)
And that one sound effect goes to be used to the point where it rivals the Wilhelm Scream!
