  • 2 words for you. LINE INPUT

  • l think this priceless that this recording has had 95,000 hits!! maybe the kids actually give it a new twist ha ha

  • Sacrilage ! to record this over a Microphone and then upload it onto the net. My ears are puking to that noise. -Gone to look for a better upload.

  • Smokin' EC w Cream old school smokin' blues payin' tribute to the great Albert King. Hot Stuff this Blues Style! If you dig this--- check us out as well on youtube - ----

    johnnyguitar335

  • Sorry dude........You were cpmparing Cream versions. Wake up sleepy head !!!!! A slap on the wrist for me .

  • THIS IS not THE ORIGINAL version of this song. Albert King recorded the Original. And tell the guy who insists you check on your kids to

mind his own business, there is too much interference in other peoples business nowdays. NOBODY tells me what to do with my children. Unless they want a slap of their own.....................

  • This version pales in comparison to Jimi Hendrix's version

  • @ballsaccovanzetti19 every version does. hendrix KILLED it on that one

  • Albert King for underpriveleged english art students.

  • People are complaining about the quality? This is obviously rehearsal and the recording is probably just a mono tape recorder. This is a piece of "behind the scenes" history that we are lucky to hear.

  • Why is everyone complaining about the kids? It's obviously a bootleg recording of a live perfomance at Romper Room.

  • No quality in this recording....

  • terrible recording of a great song! someone oughta be ashamed of him/herself

  • Sloppy. Sorry....

  • What a fucked up recording - kids screaming in the background!

  • If it wasnt for bad luck, this crappy vid wouldnt have any luck at all.

  • Come on. The hyped up kids in the background were added to emphasize the bad luck!!! Brilliant!

  • So that's what weak unemployed parents do when their kids are driving them nuts. Theygo on youtube, record a download, and try to drown them out by being louder than they are. Wouldn't be a lot easier and smarter to just discipline your children?.

Or would that just make to much sense?.

  • the external noise ruins this

  • if you all think this is good try the jimi's version way better dan this not hatin on this one jus not as good as the experience one

  • @stikireferer yes its definitely more entertaining

  • So the Urban Legend Lives! I've been hearing about this posting for over a year now, i didn't think it really existed...Cheers to claptonian69 for making a great Cream song sound like a decrepit mess!

  • Hey Claptonian 69 are you trying win an award for most pathetic upload?

    Here are the infractions:

    1. Wrong album cover. This song IS NOT on Disraeli Gears.

    2. The album cover is shaky, how did you accomplish this?

    3. Sound quality is equavialent to an original vinyl pressing that has been left in a damp garage for 42 years.

    4. Unintelligible noises coming from geeked up kids on a sugar high in the backround.

  • ok, the song was written by booker t. jones and william bell. originally recorded by albert king for his 1967 album "born under a bad sign".....i think i'm going to add the sound of screaming kids to my next music video posting, i feel it really enhances the listening experience.

  • Hey, the whailing kid goes woth the song. Just think, why else would the kid act this way through a pefectly good song. (((Born under a bad sign))) lol

  • The tune was written by Booker T. Jone of Booker T and The MGs.

  • The original version was by blues guitarist Albert King

  • very good song

  • @antman5000000 now thatsfunny shit!!!!

  • this is the BBC sessions version. or it sounds like it. But I maybe wrong.

  • watch?v=f1pzXJuvdAY

    no kids in the background

  • hey man..cool post..havent heard this version before..whereve-i-been..

  • Kids in the background? Why??? Why would even bother?

  • it's either an early take or possibly a BBC session. it's not the classic wheels of fire version. i'd love to hear the WOF mix they did with a brass section. it was never released. has anybody got a boot?

  • Pat Travers does a much more powerful version.

  • So does Hendrix

  • @mscir No disrespect to Cream, or Albert King, etc... but I agree: Travers is no slouch!

He rocked this song AND did a killer version of Statesboro Blues (Allmans); that's just a few of his excellent cover tracks.

  • really bad quality, and upload it directly so we don't have to hear your kids screaming in the background.

  • watch?v=f1pzXJuvdAY

  • this is a good song to smoke a nice fat blunt too

  • @seanyiscubsfan1 wow i was coming here to make that exact comment. thumbs thumbs

  • @seanyiscubsfan1 can you EAT a blunt, sau, if the smoke bothers you?

  • @mattbastardsen I think you can but you might feel sick afterwards.

  • that is so groovy

  • These f 'ers are still with us,

    God bless em

  • haha i have shirt with that stuff on it

  • Yeah, this is IT!...I remember a kid-high-school-band, named Crossroads- doing this in Staten Island New York in the early 70's...and they were Good...

  • man, Hendrix was miles from this ..... this is good ... but so primitave in my opinion compared to Hendrix's cover of born under a bad sign...

i think this is a rehearsal though... but still...

  • Besides the kids voices, I think this is an ulternate take of the version on Wheels of Fire album. Pay attention to Eric's guitar solos. They are different!

  • i read in a 1989 issue of Guitar Player magazine, recounting an actual meeting between Eric Clapton, Peter Baker, Jack Bruce, Albert King, William Bell, and Booker T.Jones, planing a recording session, video, and mini in person tour, and remake of Born under a bad sign. Albert King wanted a 10k advance, then plans went south. anyone have any info of what happened???

  • love the cream but i thought a kid was crying and i looked around to see if i had any open windows

  • Did you add the parot and screaming baby before or after you converted from analog to digital?

  • Cool! But you should go check on your kids ....I can hear them clobbering each other in the background! :P

  • whats this like a rehersal version or sumthin ?

  • You say Wheels of Fire but illustrate with Disraeli Gears. A roadie borrowed Baker's bicycle -- a top of the line racing bike -- and came back after riding to say that he really dug those Disraeli gears on the bike, by which he meant, of course, derailer gears! Disraeli is a person, a former two-time Prime Minister, and not a piece of biking technology.

  • thank for the cream but buddy is that a parakeetin da background lol ??
