I'm thinking about getting one of the 16x16 bass drums.. What drum heads do you use? And I play in a metal band so would that small of a bass still be loud enough?

@TheAtomicLad1996 The head in video is a evans 2 ply! I've since put on a Aquarian super kick 1 and it's a little cannon now! If you used different beaters, hard felt and wood would give you more punch! good luck and hope this helps! Los............

@TheAtomicLad1996 I play with a jungle kick in a metal band actually. ( watch?v=zQd64Y9eCrE ) I cut out some old 1ply heads to turn 2ply heads into 16" powerstrokes. I also internally installed a boundary mic into the kick, with a face plate on the outside. Plug it in with a mic cable at a gig, give it a mid cut at 700hz and this thing will beat the pants off every other kick drum on stage that night!
