  • hey you should be very proud of yourself. you look good. i'm happy for you . i just got the lap band 3 days ago. im in alot of pain right now but i'm really looking forward to loosing wieght.

  • Hi, I am considering having the lapband surgery done. I am at 223lbs. and in a size 24. I have tried all of the diets and I just can't seem to stick to any of them. I was just wondering if this is something I could have done that will really work for me.

  • even if u get the lapband your still not gonna stick to diets...mayeb you should try hard to stick to atkins or just become a vegitain its worked for me and my mom and we never stick to diets but she has lost 100 and i have lost 24

  • Hey, I subscribed to you to use as a guide on how it is. I am supposed to have lapband in July of this year (2009) and I'm scared lol...excited...but scared

  • Good Luck - it's so exciting - before you know it you will have the surgery and be losing weight! I will post soon - please send me a message if you have questions!

  • My surgery is scheduled for Nov. 21st. I have started my liquid diet and am finding it so hard. Do you have to cook for a family? If so, do you eat a small portion of what you cook for the rest of the family or do you make your own? Also, do you take 20 mins. per meal?

  • Hi! The liquid diet does stink but it's so worth it - I kept my eye on the prize! I eat what my family eats - I have always cooked pretty healthy - but just ate way too much. The only difference now is sometimes I need to add gravy or broth to my food to soften it up. Right now my band is pretty tight - it doesn't allow me to eat leftovers or very hard foods. I eat very slowly and cut up my food - I try to distract myself with conversation or a book if I am alone to slow down how fast I eat!

  • Thanks for being an inspiration;)

  • Thank you - I am inspired daily but all that have struggled with weight loss - it's such a battle - but I feel if you keep trying eventually you will win!

  • I envy you. I wish I could have steak. I was a serious steak eater and now I have to stay with chicken and ground meat.

Congradulations on your weight loss. You look great.

  • OMG - I miss chicken so much - steak is getting expensive! :) Thank you so much for the compliments - it's great to know that I am not alone in this WLS Journey! Good Luck to you!

  • I love it! I had my lapband surgery on September 6, 2007 and have been at a standstill for a while. I've lost 58 lbs

and would like to lose that much more.

  • Thank you! Plateaus are tough - keep the hardwork going - sometimes you see inches melting away - but I totally understand - I won't deny we love to see that scale move. Best of luck! Christina

  • Thank you so much for the informative video. Yay, tomorrow I finally get to eat some food (pureed) but better than the liquids. Your video made me hungry..lol Wow 50 pounds in 4 months is awesome. Congrats! I agree completely, If I only get to eat small amounts now, I want my food to taste as flavorful as possible.. Good for you on the biking! That's one of the things I loved as a child too, as well as swimming, which I look forward to..(huggs)

  • Hey! Thank you - I really tried to provide as much insight as I could - things really do change when the restriction is good. You starting dropping the pounds and your energy is through the rough! I love my lapband!

Good Luck w/your next phase of foods - it will go by quickly and before you know it you will be onto solids.

    Chat soon, Christina

  • Thank you! I sent you a message to your inbox with the cost of the procedure - etc. Good luck! Christina

  • Congratulations ! May I please ask what your surgery cost?
