  • haha, funny, this is the last video i randomly selected before i resumed watching my DVD collection of 'the family guy'.! sweet recording set up, very nice! one recommendation; i would back up my most important projects on to DVD (if they fit), external hard drive failure does happen, happened to a friend of mine! thanks for sharing...

  • @jamesedwardtheobald er 'do' happen...

  • you're right about these females, they think you owe them something and they always think someone is trying to get at them,I'm in DC and it's terrible with the motivation and work ethic trying to work with people.

  • what program do you use to record the music

  • I love this guy

  • He sounds like Cleveland

  • I totally agree with being an indepedent song writer/recorder! I'm only 16 and i'm already setting up a home recording studio in my room. I have a real passion for music and the creation of it. It is the funnest thing in the world to me. I'm hoping my band will write a few originals soon so we can record them in my room!

  • thats nasty... but nice setup

  • What a great person you are. Thanks for sharing. I will definitely be subscribing to your channel. You can tell you are an honest, genuine, independent person. Very rare on YouTube these days. Very nice set-up by the way & good luck with your music. Home made has got way more soul. PEACE!

  • please tell me you didn't buy all this nice equipment and thats a pair of cheap ass $5 koss headphones on top of that preamp?

  • i hate cords

  • what monitors are those?

  • The WaterBoy

  • Yeah, definitely hearing a mix between Cleveland from "Family Guy" and Ladies' Man from SNL here:)

Best of luck, tho, to all the indie crowd out there!

  • sounds like cleaveland from family guy

  • Nice little setup. But, whats your laptop's specification/configuration?

  • @prince4d Gateway, 4GB ram, 320 HD at 7200rpm. You need the fast drive for music recording, 1MB video card at 8400 speed and fast 9400 speed ram. 17 inch monitor. Thanks

  • @virtualsongwriter You're welcome. I think the most important component is 'Processor'.

  • @prince4d Make sure you have a 7200 rpm hard drive.

  • Hey Wellurs get the shure 58 for vocal or the shure 57 for interments. Try e-bay for a good price.

  • what the hell did you just say?

  • beautiful! very nice set up and I know 100% where you're coming from it's good to be independent cause singers can be a pain in the ass to work with believe me I know from exp.

I'm planning on investing in Logic 9 studio plus a UA-25ex and mic. Could you recommend a half decent mic please? I want to be able to produce at least the same quality I did with my last singer when we recorded at her place, we put a track on myspace dot com /the48smusic if you don't mind taking a listen

  • Yes, I go digital out of Edirol UA-25 to the digital in of the Cakewalk MA-150

  • do you use the edirol to output your audio to your monitors?

  • You're saying you need a gaming unit computer?

I have an old old desktop and am thinking of getting a Cakewalk UA-25EX USB Audio Interface. Will my old computer support the software?

  • @bodhidarma1 you mite, better check with cakewalk web site.

  • nice setup

  • Thanks Jennifer/BryanMusic. It's better to be independent. Let me know if you need some kind of help.

  • The UA-25 is the sound card. That's all you need to record. You don't need the computer sound card.

  • @virtualsongwriter Iike your video. I am a female singer/songwriter and now producer thanks to the same types of people you were discussing in your video I was forced to work alone but I have to thank them because they only made me stronger. I subscribed to your channel would love to hear your music.

  • @virtualsongwriter

Nice setup! I'm considering the UA-25 for recording the guitar and I have a few questions if don't mind. Is it possible to run a cable from the guitar right into the UA-25 without needing a mic and amp and then use software based guitar effects? Is the latency reasonable in this device? Any cons you've found?

    Thanks a lot!

  • @NoisyStrings Yes you can, I record from my guitar into the UA-25, then use the internal amps and FX. I have no latency issues. I use the ASIO driver. No cons, it's nice.

  • do i need to upgrade the sound card .... or ua-25 is all i need ...

  • deniz678 you will like the PCR 500. Check out the Cakewalk MA-150 monitors. I got them and got rid of my M-audio.

  • i like your set up

edirol pcr 500 i will buy myselfe one :)

  • you sound like sum one off family guy

  • I just got me a Shure 58 mike and Cakewalk MA-150 monitors.

  • You got it together bro... as time goes on you'll want a good MicPreAmp, good clean "Gain". Get a Rode NT1A Mic. Folks will know you are serious... Plus you'll B amazed. Keep singin' bro.. Keep that Pro attitude! 

  • nice vid bro you hit it on the head with the supposivly artists

  • Hey, great video!

Can you give me some feedback for the UA25? Is it good? are there any issues? i'm thinking of getting one.

  • Very good man...

  • What is it doing or not doing? Dose it have power? What audio card do you have?

  • Pretty cool... I almost have the same setup! =) I just use Rokit monitors instead and I use SONAR 8.0 LE.. Can you help me out a bit with that PCR-500? I've spend all day reading and I still can't make it work..! =/
