I am also not totally pleased with the way it sounds now, I still have to improve a lot. I made a song with somebody else a while ago, called Unforsaken, which I also put on youtube. The grunting in this song sounds a bit better.
This shit is a bit sloppy and weak. He has good potential, but his voice gives out really fast mostly due to his "throaty" vocalizations. Use your diaphragm and this will help out quite a bit.
Everyone else is right - work on pushing from your chest and less throat. First, you'll kill your voice the way you're screaming. Second, the throat-scream is just noise - if you listen to the original vox, you can understand what he's saying, it's expressive, crisp, and your cover is kind of convoluted and sloppy. Open your mouth, think about the words.
yeah its when you inhale while tightening your vocal chords, if done right it can sound cool, but it normaly sounds trashy, im kinda curious though, how do you do the style your using? , i always just do deep throaty growls (kinda like amon amarth). this sounds differant though.
Well, I don't know how to explain my style exactly. I use my throat a lot, I just tried to create the same sound as bands as Extol and Becoming the Archetpe. My grunts don't always sound good and I don't know how to scream. I really have to improve my grunting skills.
hey dude, you rock! you should work on screaming a little more, but other than that you're awesome. i mean like regular screaming, like, higher pitched than death metal screams. but, yeah, that was awesome. Ex Nihilo is one of my fav. songs ever..... you should come do a special at my church! hahahaha
That was pretty good. You need to work on your screamin!!! Stop using your throat and try screamin from your abb stumic area. It Sounds wicked. It took me over year to find out how to do it. But ya keep it up.

What are inhale vocals exactly? Breathing in while grunting? If that is so, I do not use inhale vocals. When I grunt I breath out.
