What kind of uses do you get out of hemlock? I live in Tennessee and we have a shit ton of hemlock just east of where i live and they're dying off from a bug problem. Is eastern hemlock any different than western hemlock.
@cyoung927 I'm not to sure on the differences, we export alot of our hemlock to the asain market, china, korea, and such. It is a very strong wood a lot of houses are built with it.
@4thgenfaller yeah i would probably say that the wood is different because everything that i have heard about it, is that the wood is very brittle and what not but will make good lap siding and stuff of that nature.
Only two cedar in this one at 35sec to 45, I actually didn't fall the first one my partner did, Kinda shitty he had to put it into the standing timber but we were on right a way so not much choice. We get nicer ones I'll load some nice cedar vids in a bit.
these might be the most beautiful video i ever have seen on the tube. i would like working in Canada with you big tree and your nature which is much the one in my country.
The big at 1:00 is awesome... Watching the camera vibrate as the trees hit the ground!

@cyoung927 Hemlock is a very common interior trim in the northwest, it's a fairly hard wood for a conifer.

When you've cut the last one, be sure n' spread an inch of salt on the ground to keep them pesky buggers from growing back.

My bad! What were the trees around the 2 minute mark? Fir? Couple nice ones after that rotted one.

They're hemlocks, we don't get many fir on the north end of Vancouver Island.
