  • bill maher is like the alternate funny version of bill o Reilly

  • Comment removed

  • @spatesel This seems like a profound comment on the surface, but when we think a bit more, we realize it is actually one of the most idiotic comments conceivable.

    Why?

Because no one on Earth has ever argued or believed that religion is an independent agent who causes harm by itself regardless of who believes it.

Therefore, the argument that "religion doesn't harm, religious people harm" is one of the most asinine, ridiculous arguments anyone could make.

    Well done.

  • lmfao, he a funny ass guy

  • President Larry the Cable Guy! LOL

  • this clown wasnt funny at all.

  • @GueroVision 97% of people that watched this thought so :)

  • @zedzulzorander then thats sad.

  • @GueroVision people voting for Santorum is sad, people blindingly following a fictional story as if it were true is sad. those among other things are sad, people liking a comedian isn't sad in the least. I don't like Dane cook or Larry the cable guy, but I don't hate on people who like them.

  • Because of your faith you found him unfunny

  • @netgear123456 i have no religion queer, he's just not funny.

  • Comment removed

  • @GueroVision "queer" Unnecessary insults the epitome of an idiot. And you obviously don't feel strongly against religion like allot of intelligent people do and that's probably why you didn't laugh

  • "There's a difference between religion and spirituality". ??? People say that they can believe in god and not have religion but religion interprets what that god says. If you don't have religion how can you know there is a god? There is no proof of either but unless you can hear voices in your head how can you know there is a god and which one? There are thousands of myths.

  • the dude has an opinion... deal with it...

  • I for one believe the structure and evolution of religion is BS, but the benefits that result from being spiritual can actually be positive.

  • It's interesting. Religion, in some eyes, is considered the root or a major cause of much of the terror and evil that we see in the world; which is true (as explained by Bill Maher). However, religion, in many others eyes, is considered a basis to which evil acts can be avoided or averted. A convict who has embraced religion may reframe from committing lewd acts as he has in the past, through the simple emotions embraced in spirituality.

  • I don't agree with this vison that if the belief in god disappeared humans would stop being arseholes to eachother.

  • @whoatemyhummus of course not! because YOU DON'T NEED GOD TO HAVE MORALS

  • @globin3 Yes that's true. But Bill is saying religion does do harm, when really it's people being the root of all evil.

  • i dont understand about the people who get so upset over his speech, i think its funny when he knocks on my religeon! but there are a few aspects i think he could have been more educated in, my father is a "deacon to be" he is studying to become one, and certainly will be. and i beleive that there are multple ways to preceive the bible and its stories, my dad said "some stories from the bible are just that, "stories", not truth, just stories that give the morals and beleifs of christianity"

  • @ImortalZeus13 Very Very true.....=] Jesus told those stories...

  • Blah blah blah blah blah, fact is Christ is risen and thats that...=]

  • I bench 2 plates. Look at mah channel brah

  • I dont love religion, but I love God.

  • The guy has a misunderstanding of the devil and God

  • @jcil What's to understand? Neither of them are real.

  • @Blackman1000ify They are more real than you and I

  • @jcil Got any evidence to back that claim up?

  • @Blackman1000ify Be open minded for a second, The evidences you need are the Sun, Moon, Stars, we Humans, grass, etc. Hope you notice the similarity, all are not man made therefore God created all. Love/hate, Life/Death, God is Love, look deep down in your heart and ask for Him, He's waiting for you because he loves you.

As of the devil we see his evidences. hate, death, suicides, etc.

  • @jcil Dude, I l think that's just nature in general. That doesn't mean that the universe is governed by a deity or a demon, it could just be life as is.

  • Comment removed

  • @Blackman1000ify I wish it was like that too bro but it's not. There's so many things i've seen that really made me think twice, for instance people get healed who were brought in to the church right in front of me and we prayed for them and their ears became open to hear again, I can't deny what i've seen man i would be a lair. There's so much that God is doing, you can receive too, the best thing that ever happened to me, family, and friends.

  • @jcil Well, I'm glad that you've found something that makes you happy but it doesn't really appeal to me. I don't need magic or supersition to give me meaning to life. I have science, philosophy and the love of my family and friends and I think that's enough.

  • @Blackman1000ify Its not magic nor superstition lol. Its the power of God called Miracle

I pray God blesses you through His love and you'll know that He is real in Jesus Name Amen. Great talking with you man :)

  • @jcil Great talking with you too man.

  • @jcil I guess not. That's what I thought.

  • @Blackman1000ify the evidence is in our heart bro, you wouldnt know because you havent excepted whats true. That's that..

  • @jayjay1989jp You mean faith right? Call me crazy but I like to test things before I accept them. Thanks anyway.

  • @Blackman1000ify Call me crazy, but I tested it and it slapped me in the face with a correction, =/, so how can you escape the truth?

  • Comment removed

  • @jayjay1989jp I have truth in science and technology, art and philosophy. I don't need an imaginary friend.

  • I love how he keeps telling the audience to STFU and stop applauding every time he makes a statement. Its not a rally people!

  • @tanaii214 how many Muslims are strapping bombs to themselves again?

  • @tanaii214 The email hacking controversy at the University of Easy Anglia was demonstrated by independent inquiries to have no bearing on the credibility of climate science, which shows humans are accelerating global warming. See "Climatic_Research_Unit_hacking_incident" in Wikipedia.

The scientific consensus is that the climate is approaching unprecedented global warmth and that humans are almost certainly responsible (see Scientific_opinion_on_climate_change on Wikipedia).

  • 0:53 the guy with blue sleeves may have been religious...

  • Comment removed

  • I wish that the offended religious on this thread would just not watch this. We feel the same about you and that's what we do.

  • @Wiki5Cannibalismo lol Well I see your point...but doesn't the existence of the video sort of prove that that's NOT what you do? lol

I'm not offended by Bill Maher, I mean people can think whatever they want...and getting offended by a comedy routine is pretty silly. Personally, I enjoy and defend Bill Maher. He's pretty great.

  • XD "Or as conservatives call it, a BABY."

  • Maher isn't that funny anymore as a standup. He once was, but not now.

He's really making a serious speech with a tiny bit of humor thrown in. Just saying.

  • I don't really have a big opinion that will stop and make people think that I have a point. I just found this video and thought it was funny.

  • @Karina69y .............. If you think Bill Maher is funny on religion, then watch "Frankie Boyle on religion".

  • There's a difference between religion and spirituality. Belief, and regimenting belief are too different things.

  • @Pariah1974 What is "spirituality," in your opinion? It seems to denote a willingness to believe in the same unjustified metaphysics of religion (soul, god, afterlife, power of prayer, etc.).

  • @mavaddat Spirituality is belief in something greater than ourselves. The simple act of believing in something greater, no matter how you personally interpret it, does not harm anyone.

Codifying, and making judgements about the spirituality of others does do harm.

But the people that do that shit, don't need religion to do it. They can find all matter of reasons to kill people. Stalin was an atheist. So if I have to answer for jihadists, then you answer for him, okay?

  • @mavaddat Spirituality is more of a way of life and a state of being and it is supported by religious beliefs and it is supposed to be the outcome of religiousness but is not restricted to it and is not a slave to scripture and does not take it literally and adopt everything one might THINK it means hastily.

It's religiousness without the purpose of one's own spirituality that is dangerous and leads a person to judging and regimenting others than oneself.

This is why I can laugh along this...

  • @mavaddat and take some offensive jokes lightly and be able to reply logically and moderately.

  • i am christian and i am also open to beliefs that differ from my own. bill maher can believe that God isn't real and i'm ok with it...but what he talks about is extremely offensive. i will admit that i am not perfect and that religion is responsible for a lot of disputes. i'm not "brainwashed" as a lot of people seem to believe Christians are, i'm educated and i like to watch family guy, play sports, and play call of duty just like everyone else so please can't we just get along?

  • @MrPillowpants91 I agree Christians are not "brainwashed." I'm not even sure that's a psychologically legitimate term.

I think Bill is expressing a frustration many religious people share when talking to atheists when it seems like there is no common ground for discussion, because we often have such radically different beliefs about what's required for belief.

I appreciate your comment and I acknowledge your point: It is possible to be an intelligent Christian.

  • @mavaddat

That's nice to hear some civility.

I'm tired of some (not all) atheists acting like every religious person is a terrible and or stupid person, it's kinda ridiculous.

  • @mavaddat No it's not....there's no such thing as an Intelligent Christian.... you know why...because you believe in cosmic zombie that can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master....so he remove the evil force from your "soul" ...because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.......oh yeah that sure is some intelligent thinking

  • @MrJustinWiggins Okay, now you're just becoming part of the problem. The point of this discussion is that Christians and atheists can coexist without this constant fighting. And, you can try all you want to use your colorful vocabulary(real cute, by the way) to make Christians out to be crazy or stupid, but, we all have reasons for believing what we do. Religion gives people comfort and helps them through the tough spots in life. It motivates and drives people. What's so wrong with that?

  • @MrPillowpants91 R u serious? When did u start going to church? YOUNG age? anything that changes the way u think! Intensive, forcible indoctrination, usually political or religious, aimed at destroying a person's basic convictions and attitudes and replacing them with an alternative set of fixed beliefs. wonder why u were offended someone elses opinion. Im not going to lie to u.I fuking hate religion. i was forced at 3 to go to church. there are only religious parents, not 5yr old christians

  • @MrPillowpants91 and yes u are brainwashed. u believe ONE book is truth when there are MILLIONS who could claim truth just the same. U choose to pick one, because ur family did the same, tv, movies etc convince u that ur worthless, only full of sins and ur not worthy unless u do certain things... WAKE the fuk up... ur better than religion. its a game to keep u on ur knees... its quite annoying to see fellow friends and man being so submissive to a object they DONT understand

  • @logicisreasonable Actually plenty of Christians, like me, don't believe in an orthodoxy. In fact, that's sort of the difference between the Catholic Church (orthopraxy) and the Easter Orthodoxy. Some Protestants have brought it back to the focus on the Bible, but that's not the main focus of the Church.

Lots of Christians are perfectly capable of looking at all religious text to fill their spiritual needs. I find Eastern religions fascinating.

  • @MrPillowpants91 You're right; however, do not forget that religious organizations have been killing, burning, torturing, incarcerating, interrogating ecc. ecc. Atheists for centuries; however, I often hear religious people claim "Atheists have no morality" (sic.). I believe we are entitled to a little "offensive" fun, don't you?

Plus, believers tend to be cocky and arrogant when it comes to talking about god, actually telling Us "You do not understand". I'm sorry, this is plain arrogance.

  • @UbermenschWill Atheists don't commit genocide or kill in the name Atheism?

Pretty sure the USSR would disagree, and Stalin killed more men than Hitler...both of whom were atheists.

Assholes don't need religion to be assholes. Any excuse will do.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrPillowpants91 Because religion goes directly against science...

  • @MrPillowpants91 believe what you want. as long as your not like the violent christians or rapists people really wont care. But they still wont agree with a FAKE god.

  • @MrPillowpants91 I am an atheist and I like to say thank you for commenting what you did. Atheists aren't bashing anyone saying that all christians are stupid and violent. But bill is just pointing out the hipocrisy and ignorance that what seems like a majority of christians have. Not all religious people are like this, just the ones he's shining light on.

  • @Izzyhill77 uhhh ok! I think I know what your saying, so in the bible were it talks about zombies, talking animals, men living in fish. You believe that right?

  • @jordan81197 Do you believe that the universe was infinitely dense and small in the Big Bang? Infinity...hmmn, that seems to be a hard concept for science to pin down. Can you explain it to me?

Seems like maybe science is asking you to believe in a concept that doesn't exist in rational measurements, and one they can't reproduce or provide an example of.

Most mathematicians and physicists agree that invoking infinity is the same thing as saying, "God did it."

  • @Jayjay1989jp did he tell you that himself?

  • @jordan81197 did he need to? you consider it a fact that marco polo traveled the sea but did he tell you that himself?

  • Jesus is savior and died so his chosen ones don't have to consider sins to be a burden. ") duhh..

  • @jayjay1989jp Mmmn. Close, but you need to study more.

The generally accepted principle, is that Jesus paid the penance for the sins of the world so that EVERYONE could be forgiven, and not need to be punished according to the Noahide Law. You still need to consider your actions, but you don't need to be cleansed when you fall short because you have already been forgiven.

  • Religion is just the factor of many wars, but it's really about power. I dont think that if we get rid of religion we would be fine.. its just the fact that we all want to dominant over one another.WE WANT PEOPLE TO SEE THINGS OUR WAY & EVEN ATHEISTS ARE THIS WAY..if one christian acts one way then ppl are going to think all christians act that way.its just a stereotyptical thing.Atheists and christians feel the same way about each other and alike in many ways.It so easy to point out differences

  • @Winniepooh803 I disagree. Yes, humans are competitive. However, Atheists are logical people. We wouldn't kill innocent people just because a two-thousand y.o. book tells Us to do so. As a matter of fact, the more a country is religious, the more it is violent. This is fact, not chit-chat.

  • @UbermenschWill Really?

How many people did Stalin kill? Lots...more than Hitler and Atheism was the law of both of those states. Did you now that? Did you know that nearly every single country to enforce atheism has done so with violence and genocide?

Read a book once in awhile, it won't hurt you.

  • @Pariah1974 Hitler was deeply religious. He mentioned god every other day in his speeches. Plus, the Germans yelled "Gott mit uns" while butchering members of the Jewish/Polish/Gay/Romani Communities. They actually had those words engraved on their belt buckles.

Stalin was indeed an Atheist, though he received a firmly religious education as a child-which, in my opinion, didn't help. And he imposed an almost christian-like cult of himself when in office.

    You're pretty ignorant, aren't you?

  • @UbermenschWill

No, but apparently you are. You should read history books more. Both Nazi Germany and the soviet Russia had state sponsored atheism.

Specifically Russia outlawed all religion during the Soviet Union.

But the Nazis believed in Social Darwinism. It's also fairly ignorant to claim that the Nazis were Christian when they murdered Jews and Catholics.

Using symbols from a religion, is not using religion...man, you're thick as hell.

  • @Pariah1974 No, you're wrong. Nazi Germany never sponsored Atheism. Atheist organizatons were actually outalwed in 1933 and Hitler actually left the Vatican alone after he occupied Rome.

Check out Wikipedia's articles about Hitler's religious views and about discrimination against Atheists in Nazi Germany-that is, if you actually want to learn something instead of blabbering nonsensical c**p. Seriously, your ignorance is appalling.

  • @UbermenschWill Oh yeah, and the U.S.S.R. did ban all religious organizations-however, Stalin and Kruschev secretly supported some christian orthodox sects (Stalin actually allowed orthodox celebrations during WWII) due to their fierce nationalism. And they supported the Uygurs (muslim guys).

You have no idea what Social Darwinism is all about. So, please, Sir, shut the hell up.

  • @UbermenschWill Nope, you're just just spouting complete conjecture now. You have no way to back up any of that shit.

I don't think you even know how to read anything but the wikipedia articles.

  • @Pariah1974 I guess I'll do what you do and just spout conjecture and wiki facts.

Stalin was the God of atheists and raped my mom.

Also, you shouldn't use a hyphen the way you did, so I win.

So done with your stupidity. See ya around.

  • @Pariah1974

    Again;

    Point I) You're a moron

Point II) I didn't use a hyphen, I used an "em dash".

Point III) In order to win you should actually have a brain. So you're disqualified.

  • @Pariah1974 BTW, you actually responded to your own comment; and you tell me I'm bumb? Seriously!

  • @Pariah1974 Since you're so smart, translate this; I'm sure you speak NT Greek. Oh, and don't look for the translation on-line!

About the WIki comment, I'd tell you the books I read on the subject. However, they're in German, tongue I doubt you can claim fluency in.

  • @UbermenschWill Same could be said about you.

You're trying to direct toward the Nazi issue because Hitler used religious imagery, and confusing it with religion.

However, I notice you're completely ignoring the communist states that did have direct and literal state sponsored atheism...and killed way more people than Hitler by the way.

So debate the Nazi issue all you, you clearly don't understand the difference, Stalin was an atheist, and the USSR killed millions of people.

  • @Pariah1974 Please. I'm not saying Stalin was a believer. However, the total death toll of all communist+fascist regimes is lower than the total numbers of deaths caused by all religions. Wanna bet?

Hitler did belive in god but you're too much of an ass to realize how right I am.

"So debate the Nazi issue all you, you clearly don't understand the difference, Stalin was an atheist, and the USSR killed millions of people". This sentence makes no sense at all. And it is grammatically incorrect.

  • @Pariah1974 It's "in a while", not "in awhile", BTW.

  • It's interesting to note, that while Bill is an Atheist, and very critical of religion as a whole, he's less critical of Judaism. I can't seem to understand why any one religion is less "evil" than the other. Something tells me Bill knows not to bite the hand that feeds him.

  • Why do Americans feel like they have a right to not be offended ? haha I always wondered that. They believe in freedom of speech until somebody insults their belief system or their way of life. When it doesn't work like that if you live in a free country that means people have a right to insult you and you have a right to insult back or ignore them.

  • I am an atheist and so pleased to be free of religion!

  • I'm a catholic republican... :(

I don't think it's wrong that you have your opinions bt sharing that like this is mean. I know I don't have to watch but it's still kinda mean. I'm not going to yell and preach but please try to be considerate.

  • @izzyhill77 Oh, how hilarious. A Christian who's in the party of the most un-Christian people ever! Makes me laugh my ass off. Btw, there's no such thing as god. Face reality. Your god, nor any deity, doesn't exist.

  • @TheCrazedGuitarist calm down i was trying to be polite. I'm not going to "face reality" im going to believe what i want. I dont care if you believe but you can still keep your rude opinions to yourself.

  • @izzyhill77 but its ok for radical religious to preach upon everyone saying "thank GOD" and people who dont believe have to listen to that shit? thats fair is it?

  • @youngbuck0911 a lot of people say thank god, whether the believe in him or not. Sorry if people preach to you but they dont say that thing that you people dedicate your life to is a stupid lie. And no it's not okay you have the right to believe what you want. I dont think its okay for anyone to insult anothers beliefs unless they are to harm people.

  • I'm atheist.

    that is all.

  • Totally rocks.

  • @LOGICandREAS0N. lolzzz

  • @skrappyb. thats not true my friend !!! someone has told you the wrong concept of apostasy

  • Is Islam moral? What's the penalty in the Koran for apostasy? Death. Nope, not moral.

  • @yelluhfelluh .Peace Brothers ... i'm just saying he is talking abt the fact that people do suicide bombing kill innocent peoples because of religion ... well nationalism do the same thing ...America has been busting assess all over the world !!! Even some statistics show that some movies are encouraging rape assault and sex motives among youngsters at early age so you should also consider them wrong !!! you'll just don't get it !!!

  • everyone is making those points that he makes but the fact is nothing is stopping ...... if you're so worried abt them then stop bragging and just hellp someone

  • They way thing he is perceiving then even nationalism is wrong ... everything tends to have a positive and negative impact its on the people how they use it.... these people just consider the negative impact

  • lolzz.. ok

  • @rattlesnake424 Please do not use all capital letters (caps lock) in comments. Thank you.

  • @rattlesnake424 just a douchebag? didn't you listen to all the valid points he made?

  • @seanbirch Bill Maher makes valid points but he is a douche

  • @ELSIK2

He can be. But my point of emphasis was simply the "just" part. I mean, in no way is he JUST a douche.

  • @rattlesnake424 well that's great. what was the point of this comment exactly? you're not bringing up any rational facts that disprove what maher is saying because most of what he says is based on fact and not blind ignorance and arrogance. i think your little temper tantrum sums up how immature you actually are and shows how badly you represent your own religion. so bottom line, great job. YOU JUST PROVED BILL MAHER'S POINT.

  • @rattlesnake424

Well you follow the teachings of a pedophile. Fuck Allah, Fuck Muhammad and Fuck you.

  • @rattlesnake424 Typical religious person:

Caps? Check. Irrational statements? Check. Bad grammar? Check. Uneducated? Check.

  • @rattlesnake424 Everyone is just trying to make money

  • @rattlesnake424 so why do you believe?

  • lolzz !!! this man sucks big time. that's what i hate abt most critics of religion that they go and see wht is going on in the world rather than wt the religion actuallly says..

  • @rattlesnake424 I'll bet this atheist (me) knows more about your bible and your religion than you do. That's the thing about most atheists...we don't believe because we actually read that bible. And we had the courage of our conscience to admit, "this crap doesn't make any sense."

  • I’m not gay, but I could suck Bill Maher’s cock in front of an audience all day long and it wouldn’t bother me at all! Not even a little bit!

  • ROFL @ 5:30

  • Someone replied to me saying the bible was meant to be interpreted. That's funny, I could have sworn it claimed to be the inspired word of god, and a direct line to the unfalsifiable claim of ultimate authority. Hmm, I guess we got it all wrong. Interesting.

  • And as far as religion never protecting lives, I was at a "feed the homeless" event in my city recently. Tons of church groups, etc. down there. Guess how many atheist groups there were? ZERO. And it didn't serve anyone other than the homeless... no one was trying to convert anyone, etc.

  • @FernandoLuis191 "Guess how many atheist groups there were? ZERO" Yeah it's because Atheism doesn't have any groups. It's one whole group, I bet there were atheists at that "feed the homeless" event. You just didn't know it. Atheism isn't as big has islam, christianity or any other religious groups.

  • I'm not religious, so I agree with Maher in that I personally don't see much use for it. But I do think that it does give people comfort and that many people will go to extremes in the name of religion, but those people are just that. Extremists. Secondly, you'll have many people who will try to get away with anything and blame it on religion, but that's not much different than anybody else with an agenda who will use some other value system to accomplish it.

  • @ga0gao There are very few "agendas" outside of religion that positively celebrate and encourage blind obedience and credulity (belief in the absence of any evidence). Religious narratives actually encourage and celebrate blind obedience. That is a huge difference.

  • @mavaddat "There are very few agendas outside of religion that encourage blind obedience". All the State-related "new man/new world" totalitarisms that have killed tens of millions of people not many decades ago. They´re still starving people in some countries. Those are not related to religion and demand blind obedience. There´s not a religious war in the West for more than 2 centuries. Zionism has little to do with religion. Etc

  • @mavaddat Both you and @ga0gao have made, at least in my estimation, two of the most profound statements on youtube, thanks for the insight, never thought of it the way you and @ga0gao see it.

  • @ FernandoLuis191 - go & suck on a live wire

  • I'm not religious, but I don't think we should make fun of others beliefs, except when they're being a douche and most Christians I've met are pretty nice. That being said, religion is pretty much fair game in comedy, especially when Bill does it :)

  • I'm a devout catholic, and this guy is hilarious.

  • Thumbs up to Bill Maher from across the pond.

  • Religion is already getting way more respect than it deserves. If you actually was mentally retarded i would respect you. But your an average human, and believing something like that is stupid, and you know why nomatter how much you argue against. Also that you always try to force this shit down all sane ppls throat. Your sick of atheists? Atheists have had to deal with this shit for hundreds of years, convert or die you say! you want respect? get fucking real

  • @lupenordo lol watch "corey basse - the pastor's wife" its new on youtube, I think...

  • I love how I make a simple observation poking holes in all the crap the Sexist Bill Mahr spews and then I get so many negative thumbs lol. Seems people don't like having their eyes opened to someone like him.

  • I'm just sick and tired of watching atheist internet trolls smugly demean everyone who doesn't agree with them on the basis of so-called "facts" and "rationality" they don't even have. The reason the vast majority of people out there aren't atheists isn't because they are "stupid" or "in denial".it's because atheism isn't the coherent worldview you have deluded yourself into believing it is.

  • @FernandoLuis191 Thanks for your contribution to the discussion.

  • @FernandoLuis191 the majority used to believe that the world was flat but if you believe that today you would etheir be packed off the bell view or asked to go a host view

  • My parents went to Christian schools, when I grew up they told me, son you will choose the religion you think it's best for you but you must know the only way of doing that is by thoroughly studying each and every religion and their scriptures, because you can't disprove or reject something just because your environment encourages you to do so. I claimed that that could take forever and I would never have a definite position about things. Today I believe that's what they were trying to teach me.

  • @FernandoLuis191 not suprised, if it's one thing religious people have problems with, it's facts and rationality.

  • @loveinvein1983 What a poor response.

  • Atheism is just the awakening and realization that most humans have been living for centuries in what's probably the best disguised lie in history. The reason the vast majority of people out there aren't atheist is because they are psychologically blocked from thinking rationally on religious issues and also because their own religious views have trained them to be afraid to challenge those views, explore free-thinking and apply rationality to those traditional religious ideas.

  • Another reason why many people are not atheists is because they haven't really read the bible and have very little knowledge about the history of civilizations. When someone becomes well educated on human civilization history, suddenly religious views become seriously challenged.

  • Most people that call themselves religious, haven't really sat down and read the bible and don't know half the atrocities that are written there. But I'm willing to bet that most atheists and agnostics know more about the bible than most christians.

  • And let's not even mention how religions cost the government billions of dollars in tax cuts that could otherwise be used for better, more useful, more productive purposes.

  • @FernandoLuis191

Religion is based on a fucking book that anyone could have written...

There are no evidence for a single biblical theory, except the existence of a joiner called "Jesus" (Who appear to have lived at least 500 years from year 0).

Atheism is just believing in 1 less god than you. Why are you so mad about 1 god difference, when there are thousands of deities that people all over the world and through history believes/ have believed in.

  • @FernandoLuis191 Yeah, I agree that's not cool. However I feel athiests should be able to pick at religion when someone is being douchey with it. Which is a lot of the time. Other than that there's no need to make fun of someone's beliefs.

  • @FernandoLuis191 @FernandoLuis191 The problem is, my dear deluded friend, that there can be no debate won by theists against atheists. The facts that we have are all science and you do not possess the facts that your beliefs demand. "Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence" - C. Hitchens. It appears that you've never been in a debate against atheism. GO, DEBATE! See if you can pull a single argument against us.

  • @xomiakas So I see, you don't really care what people believe in, do you? You just want to prove how smarter you are. Forget it, I´m not giving you more attention(cause that´s what you really want, don´t you?). It's a matter of faith to me. And again, you proved my point. The only people I know of who ridicule others for their beliefs are atheistsThey have a Mission! To get you to stop believing, and anything you say to defend yourself is just proof of how ignorant you are for believing in God.

  • @FernandoLuis191 Oh, so many questions and braindead arguments. Like a child grabbing his moms skirt and asking about the deep blue sky... So magical! " you don't really care what people believe in" - GUILTY! I don't give a fuck about what people believe in, as long as it doesn't harm the intelligence of undeveloped or underdeveloped minds, which in turn slows the progress of humanity. All religion does this - it's an evasion technique which let's stupid people think they have the answers.

  • @xomiakas Additionally, if you stopped cramming everything in your brain that Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris tell you is true and actually started thinking for yourself, you might be amazed at how hilariously irrational atheism is. That doesn't make Christianity or any other religion true, but atheists are usually so busy being elitists and bashing everyone else that they don't turn their amazing intellect on themselves to see how absurd atheism truly is.
