It was never about the looks. I mean personally I find it tacky, but then again that's preference.
But from a performance standpoint a FWD car with downforce applied over the REAR wheels is just extra drag, hurting gas mileage.
The RSX spoiler is again purely for looks providing almost zero downforce until over 100mph. This wing's design seems like it could get up to even 200lbs of downforce around 120 mph.
Consider this: The Subaru Impreza WRX STI wing creates ~300lbs of downforce at 100mph

Try joining ukcougarforum dot com - its the chat board of all the UK owners, there is loads of advice for modifying your car. Basic first modifications tend to be lowering it, get a good set of 18 or 19s on it, and add an induction kit. You'll generally find the 2.5V6 does not have too many easy tuning options, but if you have the money and desire to get big power, there is a supercharged option available. Hope this helps.

The fronts are identical to the C1 models. The rear is only different at the upper spring seats. Get yourself some Mk1 upper spring seats from a breakers yard and you can fill your boots on any of the springs and shocks for the Mk1s ;o)
