@tex99999 Amen!!! Mag changeds are part of any shooting sport. IDPA is for civvies that CCP for tyhose of us that do not carry a 17 or more round handgun we will be doing mag changes. If you do this right it should be from under a cover garment.
Understood however lots of guys do this and THINK they are getting real Tactical practice. And they are really working on bad habits. If you carry a firearm for a living watch out for this stuff. Lots of these ranges also run cold, so guys get used to being told to load, unload, holster ETC. Range rules can get you killed beware!

You're totally right about speed vs accuracy. And on the latter, he didn't score all that well. This wasn't a strick IDPA 3-gun match, and on this particular stage, retention of the rifle countermanded the cover garment requirement and no points were deducted for NOT shooting from cover. It's just good, cardboard-killin fun.
@John234pwns yeah there's always some ass clown that has to talk shit about non military/law enforcement to make himself feel like a big boy. I always encourage civilian shooters to do these types of shooting sports.
