@Joshuamcmichael352 in terms of maintanice, an AR series would have to be constantly cleaned and serviced to ensure proper function whereas an AK can go without maintaince or cleaning of any kind for months nonstop. Nam was a perfect example. And "the most powerful military force on the planet"? the russkies and chinese have not only cracked our so called stealth but have also started mass producing their own nex gen equipment so u might as well throw that "USA is the best" talk lol

Why do people think nukes are the answer? They aren't your regular missile or bomb, these are world affecting weapons. You use one nuke you give every nuclear weapon carrying group an excuse to use theirs. What comes after is a steady annhilation of the human race. @DBSOC actually they are very well funded rofl... new AK's that are made in russia are impossible to get and cost about 1500 a piece. plus russian weapons are much more reliable in iraq weather conditions. ill take an ak74 over an m4 any day.

Now if you got a Russian/Soviet made, you're good to go. I'm more of a precision shooter so i do preferred an AR platform. Don't get me wrong the AK is awesome.

@DIESELisBACK900 that is the only weapon I would want out there. 5.56 can't penetrate shit. AK-47's are much more durable, easy to maintain, more powerful and cheaper than American weapons. Have fun cleaning your M16 when you're under fire. Good luck finding cover when a 7.62 is flying around.

U.S didn't even ENTER world war one until 1917. When the war was nearly over. Even in that small time. The Canadian troops sustained less casualties than the U.S and broke through many heavily fortified arries. (I.E. Vimy Ridge.)
