In this video lightnings are not striking the magnetic rods of the Petronas towers. Lightnings ooccur some where far away behind the Petronas towers. The background scene looks like. See the two ends of the lightnings are not connected with the building structures.

I used to work in the building... yeah, lightning strikes are pretty often. sometimes just on windows near me.. sparks flying and all.. after a few times, no big deal :)

u don't know??? KLCC is tallest twin tower in world... and about 30 minutes from KL international airport...

KLCC also may refer to KL Convention Centre, which is just near the towers. So I usually refer them as PETRONAS Twin Tower, or PETT.

The lightning didn't strike the rods, it seemed like that it hit the air near the building or the side of the building itself, but definitely not the rods. (see 0:09)

haiz... dun worry about it lah.. You dunno the two antenna on the top of Petronas Twin Tower are called "lightning rod"? The lightning wont strike to the buildings. Dont worry!
