  • Jesus. The clicking of the bolt is louder than the percussion of the rounds going off. That's insane.

  • like an airgun

  • Does your ass still hurt from all the BATF buttrape you had to endure?

  • that a cool ak47

  • So you can basically see the arc of falling of the bullets, given that they're supersonic?

  • where did you manage to get hold of an authentic mp5, i thought there were banned from import since 86 ?? since is fully auto i take it you have a class 3 ticket?

  • i take it this is some clone?? some of them are pretty good

  • @hardman476 No, this is an authentic MP5SD.

  • @aroundlsu you mean a hk91 converted right? mp5's are not transferable to civilians. if your in america...

  • So unfair our government makes these cost-prohibitive because they think mere ownership of machine guns and the like will result in tons of violence. Of course, criminals just get this stuff illegally anyway so the laws are pointless other than for controlling and manipulating the good people of the USA.

  • @Apathesis0 its not because they think violence will happen its because they want us unarmed so they can do as they please. so they started with machine guns cuz it was doable now there working on others. until we cant have them just the uk etc. wont happen as easy though.

  • @fatdan172501 The naive people who support more gun control do it because they believe it will decrease violent crime. Of course, those actually running our government just want us vulnerable. People are stupid.

  • @Apathesis0 exactly.

  • Well, Princepersia1 The MP7 (Correct me if i'm wrong) Fires a higer caliber bullet. And the MP5 has a higer rate of fire. so trading caliber for R.O.F. i would take caliber.

  • @Jarrettgs small correction: The MP7 fires a smaller caliber (4,6mm), but the bullets are basically small assault-rifle rounds, therefore it's got a better effect on a target wearing body armour than the weaker, but bigger 9mm (pistol) round of the MP5.

  • nice

  • At the intro i thought it was Alient ant farm - smooth criminal playing lol

  • this guy must be an "operator"

  • I'd give my left testicle to own one of these.

  • No. Range.

  • How did you get your hands on a SD? I've been looking for one but I only found it in 40 and 10mm auto.

  • @Ilnoscopedjfk 40 cal and 10mm is the same, isn't it?

  • @PirateXzibit i dont think so. I mean if you look at the mags for either gun they look the same but I think they have some differences in ballistics. I don;t remember but I once saw a page on glock that showed all the differences between popular pistol cartridges. ex 9mm, 10mm , .357 sig, etc.

  • Yes.

  • and does it lower the power of the bullet?

  • this may be a stupid question, but does a supressor lower recoil?

  • Looks like an SD3 version

  • Do the rounds loose energy?

  • Yes due to the ammo not reaching supersonic velocities. The MP5SD is not a hard hitting gun.

  • Wait why are you using sub sonic ammunition? The SD can utilize super sonic ammunition and still be silent. I wouldn't trust that gun with my life I mean 9mm AND sub sonic? Kind of makes you think why special forces use it it's useless against body armor. Anyways for me the best caliber to suppress is .45 cause it's already sub sonic, fire it in a wet can out of a USP Tactical and it's REALLY quiet.

  • You don't understand how an MP5SD works. It shoots standard supersonic 9mm ammo but does not allow it to reach supersonic speeds by bleeding off gas through ports in the barrel. The gun is shooting standard supersonic ammo at subsonic speeds. There is no way to get around this "feature" of the SD series.

  • That's what I ment lol that's why I said you don't need subsonic ammo.

  • @aroundlsu when you get shot in the face cuz you dont hear them coming its not really gunna matter if your wearing armor. this gun is for covert and CQB applications.

  • @fatdan172501 a .22lr round can kill from 500m away.

    doesnt take much to kill.

  • @EvilLamas not likely 22lr looses lots of its power that far out. whats your point though?

  • @fatdan172501 um... i think it was replying about someone wondering about why this gun was used, due to its low power, though i may have replied to the wrong person....

  • @EvilLamas oh lol.

  • @aroundlsu thats actually genius of hk, because even a subsonic 9mm round would reach pretty close to supersonic out of a rifle barrel. they got around that completely. and these people saying its not powerful enough are retarded. 2 rounds center mass and im sure your going down idc how big you are. how accurate is that at around 100 yards though?

  • @aroundlsu 9mm FMJ's fire a little too fast for their own good in my opinion anyway. they often over penetrate and dont transfer their energy very well.

  • @princepersia1 9mm goes through armor better.

  • How'd you manage that? 9mm doesn't go through armor full stop, NIJ Level IIIA vests, which are the most versatile being relatively light and still withstanding most pistol and revolver rounds (not long rifles), can stop the 9mm without breaking a sweat, the round is just too light and slow to penetrate, Level IIA would probably stop it reliably, even overpressure rounds can't penetrate modern armor, that said the 9mm is a good round, people under estimate it.

  • @princepersia1 people especially the americans under estimate .22lr......you wouldnt want to be hit with a 'burst' of supersonic .22's from a .22lr mp5 for example

  • @Roflzmahwoflz it does in films

  • @princepersia1

subsonic is ideal when using the silencer, if you use the supersonic ammunition, the crack the bullets make as the break the sound barrier is still quite loud, while its true that the report is still substantial quieter than normal firearms, its still pretty loud. i do however agree with you completely about the .45 round, and fortunately the UMP ( a version of the mp5) can utilize this round with an integral silencer to great effect.

  • What?? The UMP isn't a version of the MP5, it does not have an integral silencer either.

  • @princepersia1

what i meant was that the UMP was based off of the mp5, to say it is a version is a stretch ill admit that was an error on my part. the UMP was reverse engineered from the mp5 with the capacity for more heavy duty rounds.

and it can be bought with an integral silencer, although there is no reason to do so as, unlike its cousin the mp5, a detatchable silencer does just as well for it

  • @princepersia1 .45 acp doesn't need an integral suppressor because .45 acp is already subsonic (round doesn't break the speed of sound)

  • @princepersia1 there is a .45 version of te mp5, though it wasn't very populer as it had loads of recoil.

they have made a submachine gun that utalises it though- the kriss vector, as the bolt is directed downwards, via blowback, minimising recoil.

and now, i didnt learn that gun of a video game.

  • "Bring a MP5 when you know the target is wearing body armor" - You're joking right? Yet another armchair commando who's only knowledge of guns resides in reading law enforcement magazines. Go back to shooting your Bushmaster off the tailgate of your rusted out truck.

  • @cqbrules don't You get armor piercing in 9mm??

Seem to recall reading somwhere that it was possible.

  • Using an MP5 against body armor is retarded especially an SD.

  • I think someone's new to SWAT. Welcome to the family man. Just had to show off your new toy though, huh? Lol... Be safe

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP you COD4 motherfucker.

  • Ok thanks.

  • I know it sounds stupid but do you still need ear protection given that it is constantly suppressed ?

  • No, this gun is very hearing safe suppressed. Some of my others are borderline hearing safe (such as the 9.25" 5.56mm AR) suppressed.

  • Hi, have you ever fired an MP5/10 chambered for 10x25mm ammo? I hear it's more powerful than either the 9x19mm version or even the UMP, with a boosted effective range of 270 meters. If you have shot one yourself, does it come close to that hype?

  • Were you shooting super or subsonic ammo in the vid?

  • he could be but he doesnt need to. the barrel is ported all down it so it makes normal supersonic rounds go subsonic.

  • i love this gun!!!!

  • cool vid, what scope is that?

  • scope-sights, you know what i mean anyway

  • You probably meant M16 instead of AR15. And it would be more correct to say that the MP5 is the best SMG in the world. Comparing it to rifle calibers is kind of ridiculous. Plus, to compare guns across platforms like that, you'd have to get into a rather lengthy debate about categories and weighting factors. It would be a mess.

  • I've got one of these on order. I just might have to take it pig hunting... in full auto. ;-)

  • Gotta love the first-person view ;)

  • Nice piece. Can I ask why you wouldn't use subsonic loads to go even quieter? Would the action not cycle or something?

  • The MP5SD isn't designed for subsonic loads because it has ports in the barrel which keep normal supersonic 9mm rounds subsonic.

Short answer: it is shooting subsonic. Video is not a good indicator of how loud a gun is.

  • The HK MP5SD doesnt use sub sonic ammunitions so it is like firing a normal MP5, but it is silent. Because it fires normal 9mm, you can use any 9mm round and it retains the silencing and it also retains the power of the round unlike a less powerful sub. So if youre in combat and you run out of ammo, your buddy with a MP5 can give you some of his 9mm and your gun is still silenced.

  • @Cooleojones the laws of physics teach us that 2 objects of the same mass and velocity carry the same amount of energy

so no subsonic rounds fired by other suppressed weapons are not less powerful than supersonic rounds fired by an mp5SD since it adjusts the speed of the bullet to subsonic by design

  • ...excuse me, based on what?

  • video games XD

  • Videos are not a good indicator of how loud a gun is because of the way the microphone compresses the sound. The only way to really understand the difference between a silencer and no silencer is to hear it in person. I promise there is a tremendous difference.

  • Its good that you make the point. Ive shot this weapon before along with others(suppressed M11), and its like a chainsaw motor. Its still definately lowd, but the thign is it sounds quiet because it doesnt sound like a gushot. Even a suppressed 22LR makes around 100 db.

  • I'd trade a kidney for one of those...

    Repeal The Hughes Ammendment

  • @ExoticSpotting The Constitution is the Supreme law of the land.

The Gun Control Act of 1968, Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986 & the Hughes Amendment were all unconstitutional in the first place.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed

Read, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. All regulations and licenses infringe on ones right to keep and bear arms

  • XD I know there are better SMG's and other weapons then this, but personally the MP5SD is my BEST!!!!!!!! It looks awesome, it sounds awesome, it's really accurate, it's a nice shape and also, the SAS use it, so it's gotta be good. (=

  • The only SMG replacing this one, is the .45 cal variant -I think is called UMP- that has cheaper production costs and shots a bigger bullet, having great accuracy and control.

  • The MP5 SD is a very good MP

  • wheres the machine gun?

  • whooops I meant 0:15

  • at 0:10 you can see it alright

  • could you make a video with you showing us your mp5. I mean like an actual video showing the mp5 and it's features and stuff. Because my padre just bought an mp5 sd5 post 1986, And we haven't used it yet. we just got it like a week ago.

  • say what?

  • like show the gun first hand. because there aren't any videos like that. but there are for like sks, ar 15, ak47s and stuff. there are only videos of people shooting the mp5, never actually like showing it to the camera, know what I mean?

  • the charging handle isnt meant to be baby'd , slap that shit goddamnit!

  • How, with that red dot? You can't slap through it. I see what you mean, but it just isn't possible with an optic mounted.

  • our UAV is online!!

  • haha cod4

  • Friendly Airstrike in the way!!

  • Ok I have 17K in the bank right now, Mp5SD or down payment on new truck....hmmmmmm......friggen NFA regs

  • MP5SD. Will be worth twice as much as it is now when your truck will be worthless in ten years.

  • Damn straight: HK - no compromise ! Cool video!

  • hell a full auto SD can run you back a good 15,000 dollars...

  • Very nice, great job with the video work. Different POV's add to the quality of the video. Oh yeah, the MP5SD is badass too, lol.

  • From :50 to :54 is just beautiful.

  • usa is a great country

    wanna live there :/

(to fire these great guns) ^^

  • dude thats fuckin gangster, let alone the fact youre shooting that shit in a button up dress shirt. hahaha

  • Thanks. I actually had to go to an art gallery show directly after shooting this. I was still smelling of burned powder!

  • ridiculous, i laugh at the man who calls you an artsy queer

  • all you need is the brass catcher and your set!

  • this video only reaffirms my desire to add a MP5SD to the collection. If only the funds were available...

  • You lucky bastard! That was a very nice video (I watch it when I'm having a bad day). Did you go to the silencer shoot this year?

  • No, I didn't get a chance to go to the silencer shoot. Glad you liked the video. I can't believe all the people that have seen it. We made it in a cow pasture with a tree for a backstop and a bunch of kids running around us I had to edit out and try not to shoot. Completely redneck. :P

  • germans maake best guns.

  • Suppressor is the correct word not silencer, but whatever. Also some states have a 10 day waiting period just to buy a regular semi-auto handgun. I live in a state where it is three days, but if you have a CWP (Concealed Weapons Permit) you can just walk into a gun store and buy it an d walk out with it the same day.

  • Suppressor is an alternate word not the "correct" word. Another word is "moderator". Yet another is "muffler". When you fill out the paperwork with the ATF it actually says "silencer". My state paperwork actually calls it a "muffler". The box mine came in calls it "sound signature dispersion device". The biggest internet forum online for it is called "silencertalk". So really, there is no correct word. It's just a matter of who you are talking to.

  • You can also get other used fully automatic weapons for less money. You can buy a gun for around 4K It just depends on the model. The MP5 is a great weapon though. You will also need a $200 tax stamp per weapon or silencer etc, and a transfer fee. My gun shop charges $100 for the paperwork and transfer. So for $300 plus weapon cost your in business. I am going to buy an HK with a suppressor , HK makes nice weapons and some of their pistols have threaded barrels ready to accept a silencer.

  • Yep, a WWII Reising submachine gun is about $4k and is a good one to get started in. My dealer has one as well. But they are not much fun to shoot and highly unreliable. The American troops were known to dump them in the river and take their enemies guns.

  • how much do this hk mp5sd cost new ??

  • About $1,500 brand new if you are law enforcement. Civilians can only buy a used one made before May of 1986 at around $20,000. The absurdly high price is because there aren't very many used ones to go around.

  • thx for info but why can caviians only buy it used ???

  • Because a ban on machine guns was but into effect in May 1986 by Ronald Reagan. That means any machine gun made after May 1986 is illegal. Machine guns made before 1986 are perfectly legal. For more info google National Firearms Act.

  • thx for the info

  • Ironically, the 1986 law was called something like "Gun Owner's Protection Act".

  • Excellent video, and gun. I approve!

  • beautiful gun. i wanna turn my tippmann into that. lol is it THAT EASY to get a gun in america?

  • Yes. There are plenty of machine guns for sale across the country at any given moment. You just need the cash ($20,000) and some patience (about three months) while the forms get approved by the ATF.

  • I'm interested in seeing how you attached the camera to the weapon's stock. I've got a helmet camera, but I'm having problems getting good mounting locations.

  • I used the head from a professional video tripod. It fit perfectly between the rails on the extended stock. It was attached using the bolt that came with the tripod. Only problem is the vibrations from the gun messed up most of the tape. I need to construct a dampener or get a solid state camera.

  • $20,000 ?! I didn't know that it costs that much... I thought it was like $5000 top... ffs :S ...

  • Yes, about $20k for a used fully automatic civilian transferable one. If you are a law enforcement agency you can buy a brand new one for about $1,750. Otherwise, $20k. Great investment though. Easy to sell and will go up in value over time if you take care of it.

  • lol, i would rather buy a car, you can drive it, and it kills people too if you want :D... Just kidding, if you are weapons fan i guess its worth the money ;) cheers

  • Cars lose money. Guns make money. Think of a gun as a savings account you can cash out anytime you need the cash.

  • how are you allowed to own a deadly machine gun?

BTW, awesome video, I can't wait to order mine when I get enough money. It's so professional and such good quality!

  • Anyone with a clean background and about $20,000 can buy a machine gun in the United States. Google FTW.

  • That's pretty amazing :o

    Sometimes scary to..

  • Since 1934, a civilian must obtain permission from the U.S. Treasury to legally own a fully automatic weapon.

  • That's not exactly right. You don't need "permission". You just need to pass the same background check everyone else takes to buy a regular gun. And it's not the treasury. It's the BATF. The treasury gets the stamp money, but the BATF handles the process. Google FTW.

  • When you were walking with the camera mounted on the rifle it would have been nice to see you raise to a target and fire, call of duty 4 style! lmao!

  • Yeah that was the plan to begin with. But my camera mount was crazy and not cooperating. Hopefully in the sequel we can do that.

  • Nice finishing touch on the vid, you can see the barrel smoking!

  • Fucking finland and licence shit! I never can by any full-automatic weapons in here! Except if i had 'collectors licence' and it's very VERY hard to deserve! Shit! =D I hafto go back to the army, if i want to shoot with full-automatic again.

  • Well if everyone could have them it wouldn't be nearly as cool!

  • all you need to say at the end is you shoulda just payed the rent and the video would be sick

  • Damn nice man, looks like fun!! Definitely a cool vid. Just one thing...I noticed that you used the magazine as a vertical grip at the end. I dont know about MP5s, but I have seen AR15s, that when you rested them on the mag, they d have double feeds and malfunctions more often. So I dont know if you wanna interfere with the feeding in any way. Other than that...nice vid :)

  • I think it's just the way it looks in the video. I never hold it by the magazine. Thanks for the info though. I agree 100%.
