Yeah because the exc burn better closer. The old CNI could burn from far away.

In answer to happygameshow, his reason is correct, however using a cap set to enhance burning only works within around 7cm, because any further than this and the laser's beam expands.

Depends how you focus it. By adjusting the focal #lens, you adjust the focal #point.
