It is rare for a match to be close and to get good footy at the same time. That is why in my opinion, 1989 stands above the rest.

In the past 30 years, I would put the 1984 Grand Final in there. Both 1981 and 1982 were better Grand Finals than 05 and 06. Go back a bit further and you have 1979.

I would also place 09 ahead of 05. Considering the conditions, better footy.
