I admit that if the effigy were of Obama people would scream racism. However, in truth, America is full of racists (just read craigs list rants and raves) so the outcry would have some standing. On the other hand, there is no US history (except Salem MA witch trials) of white women being hung and even more importantly, almost no prejudice against white women in general. Hence the comparison is fallacious at best.
