  • Al just played Minneapolis last night (11/16/11) and my 6 year old boy saw it with me. What better way for a great artist to sign off a brilliant career - and for a young artist to be schooled in the ways of proper music. God Bless Al Jarreau.

  • @jacoff125 1985

  • Super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can someone please tellme if it's Jarreau who sings the song on the Sex in the City trailer thast being played on Sky at the mo? If so, whats it called? Thanks

  • Yes it is Al, and the song is called moonlighting.

  • Hi, thanks, but it wasn't. The song that was on the SITC trailler is called `Open Up Your Door` and was by Richard Hawley.

  • I love this tune... It feels great to see so many young people diggin' this kind of music back then... What a hell happened to music ????

  • Real music hasn't existed in American media for a very long time now. Remember when radio stations played Charlie Parker live from Birdland? Now all they play on the radio is ringtones.

  • You should hear me sing some Al Jarreau.

  • This could have been a major hit - especially the Swahili chant "Nitaku... Gocheya... Milele" - dig Al Jarreau imitating the conga sound

  • Listen to "Black & Blues" too, I think it's the same story.

  • I LOVE anything this guy does i will go and listen to "Black & Blues" as soon as I replay this one more time, I have to start my mornings with this one. Have you ever listened to "Al Jarreau - Steve Gadd - Mas Que Nada" EXCELLENT.

  • Going to see "Al Jarreau - Steve Gadd - Mas Que Nada" right now!!! Thanks!

  • Tell me what you think about it.
