Magnesium with potassium permanganate

dunno what you guys are doing, but by weight a 2:1:1/2 ratio of permanganate:magnesium:copper oxide, makes quite the blast.

i took off the lid of a mint tin with half a gram, and the lid was pretty firm, i know flash is fun but just be careful yeah x

if they are mixed in the right ratio that pile would have just exploded, trust me ive deflagrated 5kg of this stuff over the past 3 years

Mg + 2 KMnO4----> 3MgO + K2O + 2 Mn?

I think MgO, MnO2 and K2O are the products:

2KMnO4 + 3Mg ==> K2O + 2MnO2 + 3MgO

Nothing unless you figured out how to make it a powder. If you did somehow make it into a powder than you would have the most powerful flash the world has ever seen.

potassium permanganate doesnt react with magnesium to make spontaneous combustion, that just makes flash powder. kmno4 and glycerol however does
