How come you live in New York? I mean why don't you move back to Sweden or Spain? Cause if none of the things that you mentioned are unique to New York and you think living in another country is better that would only makes sense right?
how do you make it in life like that? i mean you've traveled to lots of cities and probably a lot more in the future.where did you get the money from?you see,im just a teen and you're pretty much livin my dream.bein able to travel, have lots of knowledge etc.i would like to go to NYC one day and if i could, i would live there like maybe 2 or 3 yrs and hopefully,be able to love or accept the negativity of it but it just seem too far-fetched for me to get there...
Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain..Sweden and Spain!!
Yup just like the people from where ever your from. I was never talking about class I was talking about safety in New York compared to other large major cities.
If you compare new york to other large cities such as chicago or los angeles you'll see new york is much safer. you can do that using the website area connect.
I find when someone is happy with the place they live then it becomes their version of the best city in the world. I don't think there is a default best city. ;)
i agree, European food is wholesome and usually healthy. and New York is probably the most fit place in america because everyone walks the food off. you should see the other cities! America has a horrible reputation for obesity.
Vision of NYC in France: 1 Not the best in the world but probably the best in the US 2 n/a 3 A French person will usually not associate 'good food' with anything US 4 NYC seems a city that lives 24/7 5 We associate many crimes and dangers to NYC 6 NYC seems to be the US 'intellectuals' place, so I bet it sounds cool 7 Idem as what you said 8 Today, I need a new definition of 'tolerance' 9 I agree, but it's the same in many other big cities 10 Don't know this website
This comment really applies to your two combined answers. America is a wonderful nation and Americans are justly proud. We are also very uneducated and unsophisticated about the rest of the world. Much of the things you disagree with are on these lists because Americans really don't understand other places or viewpoints.
I've only visited NYC once and was both pleased and disturbed by what I found there. I totally agree with you on the safety issue though. NYC may be better than it was, but it is still shite in comparison to many of the major cities of the world (like Tokyo).
I think you hit the nail on the head, Nick! Safety is a relative term, though, and I have always been surprised considering the diversity of the population, how well New Yorkers do get along. :)
Heheh, you went on for thirty minutes at first? Whoa... Thanks for this video response, though. I hope it continues to attract a lot of interesting comments. Catch you later.
No matter what anyone feels is specifically good or bad, I hope you will embrace New York as your new home, to be a "New Yorker" instead of just "a visitor," because no matter what good or bad others may say of NYC, it's all irrelevant once you truly feel like a part of a larger whole, that you are small but important piece of a huge jigsaw puzzle. I think that's what makes any big city great -- to feel that it is really a part of who you are and to be around so many others that feel the same.
I think you have to realize that not everyone is a worldwide traveler like yourself so your comments seem quite negative. you may find that some New Yorkers will blast you for suggesting that NYC is anything less than the best. Bottom line...NYC has the best pizza, clubs, business, tolerance and no where else on earth can beat it!....everyone wants to live there and it is the greatest city in the world!
jjj778 - yes, you're probably right that a lot of New Yorkers will be offended by my opinions... but they're probably the ones I was talking about who have never been anywhere else and thus have nothing to compare with.
@jjj778 THERE HIS OPINIONS THO RIGHT? AND HE IS NOT FROM THERE SO HIS OPINION WILL BE DIFFERENT THAN SOMEONE ELSES THAT IS. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.(NOT YELLING JUST DIDNT FEEL LIKE TAKING MY CAPS OFF)

Actually China started the whole pizza thing, Marco Polo simply took it back with him.
xaviercbrock 3 years ago
@xaviercbrock Actually Marco Polo got the pasta thing from noodles in China!
The base of pizza was all around the mediterrean sea in ancient times...Italians(in Naples especially)made the best out of it!
