Continue from my last post: Since I'm scared I may slip into one of my epilepsy spells again, I don't think the lap band would be something I should try, because my vomitting may cause the band to slip. Watching what I eat having control may help my life time stuggle with stomach problems. Do you think I would be better off maybe getting the gastric sleeve done? I live in Indiana so I thought about going to ST. Vincines. Do you have any suggestions for me PLEASE!!
Nick, I wanted to say you are a hero to most people by being as brave as you have been through your surgery weight loss journey. I really want to improve my health, but I'm am so scared to take the leap for a weight loss surgery. my current health issues include high blood presure, acid reflux with a narrowing of my esophagus and an hiatal hernia, arthritis, degenerative disk disease with a mild disk bulge, and a past history of what is called abdominal epilepsy which is uncontrollable vomiting.
hello nick, sorry that my english are notso good!i am from greece,my name is marios, and i had the operation on saturday 22 of january,4 days ago!!!i am happy that everything is going ok for you,i am, watching the video again nad again to understand 100% of what you saying!!!looking forward for more updates !!!
you are looking fantastic...can't wait for your next update. My husband and I are going for our consult at the beginning of March and hope to be in surgery as a tag team cause we have a 4 and a 5 year old by Easter. I'll have to make some posts on here too.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I watched all 6 videos. I'm considering the Gastric Sleeve and watching some of the video stories that you and a few others have taking the time to do has been very reassuring. Many thanks!
I had lapband surgery and I only lost 30 pds, its been a year. I must say, it is a lot harder with that. I should have went with the Sleeve. You look great! Have you exercised much since having the surgery?
I'm a new subscriber - you look great! I want to have the sleeve and I've done most of my pre-op tests and met my surgeon...but they want me to try diet and exercise AGAIN for a year before they even try to get me approved. I'm so disappointed and discouraged.
Do you mind me asking how your diet has changed? I know you said you don't eat a lot of processed food...did you before surgery? How did you convince yourself to change? It seems impossible to me.
DUDE,, You are the man... Great job-you're a total inspiration. I am getting sleeved on Dec. 20th, your video's really helped me make the decision between LapBand vs. (VSG) sleeve. You look unrecognizable it's amazing-you seem to be positive and feeling pretty good too.
I agree. When I saw the your video icon I did not get it at first. I was like, who is this?
I am curious on how your doing with Nutrition other than less food. My dietician (pre-op) is really drilling me on the importance after surgery of getting "Calories that count" so I do not get under nourished. I am worried a bit about that. I want to be able to lift weights still and maybe even run someday. Keep it up pal. Your inspiring me to vlog my journey.
Ooooommmmmgggggg!!!!!!! I friggin didnt realize who you were!!!! I literally had to go to your page to make sure who I thought you were when it hit me who you were!!!! lol I know that sounds crazy!!!! You look amaaaaaazing!!!!!!!! question, ^ hate protien shakes any suggestions as to an alternative? I am a little over two weeks post op vsg.
Hey Nick, you look radiantly healthy. Congratulations! Can I ask how much exercise do you do? My own weight loss is roughly at 1lb a week, and I need to think about moving more. What do you do?
Hello and thanks for these videos. I'm over 400 pounds and I am about 4 months away from having the Doctor submit my paperwork to the insurance company. I am a little scared but I'm more scared not to be around for a long time for my daughter (I'm 41). Can you eventually eat anything you want? I know at first you had to take it easy but now? I was also wondering about loose skin? I assume there is or will be for me anyway. I am 6'2" so maybe it will be minimal. Anyway thanks again.
Do you have excess skin?
