90gal T. Blondi Tutorial Part 1

rob i have a question in my blondis tank the cork bark cave/hide keeps moulding unless i keep the end its on dry iam just worried my blondi is too dry as my exo terra humidity monitors say its about medium but when i get it very high humidity i seem to get mould should i just keep water at one end

@johnny197666 Most people believe the entire tank has to be humid but in fact a Blondis den should be kept dry and the rest of the tank should be kep a bit humid.

Just wondering, is it safe to find and take a random piece of log that would make a good hide for a T in a paddock? Or would there be harmful critters and stuff that could hurt a T?

Rob you have more experience than myself but I just want to say that 90gal. is not needed. I keep my T. Blondi in a 20gal. tank and she has more than enough room.

@Chaoitcme 40 gal minimum for this sp IMHO.... basically I see it like this....you can live in a 6 ft jail cell correct?? LOL!! $0 gal is better for mating plus for stimulation...not All T';s need this kind of room compared to leg-span but this one does better. I am sure yours is happy not doubting that for a second!

A good rule of thumb for Latin...when there is one i at the end of the word it is pronounced eye not ee. Blond-eye as opposed to Blond-ee. When there are two it is pronounced ee-eye. Weeksii, would be pronounced Weeks-ee-eye.

Please don't take this offensively, my mated female's in a 10 gallon tank and she's very happy in it. 90 gallons in Canada are around $2000 so a lot of people won't spend this kind of money. I'd like to use larger tanks say a 15 gal...but as you may already seen my T room is small so 90 gallons won't even fit lol.

very intersting i have a question for you i was watching a vidio some time ago iam not sure if it was from a show thats called so many ways to die there was a sagment on a black coloured spider and when he walked up to it it struct him and when struct him it was very painfull to a point that the docters didnt know if he would servive could you tell me what breed of spider it is

I didn't - I use moist substrate for the blondi set up....but if you want it dry for another set up, you can bake it...

I just use normal hot glue and it doesn't bother or harm them at all....I'm not sure about any other types of glue.

Nice enclosure. It's a palace compared to mine lol. I house my T blondi in a 10 gallon tank. I have lack of space for 54 Ts in a small bedroom hehe
